As far as MY knowledge of the chronology of maps goes, it is like this:
Verrukt/Nacht (not sure which is first, but Nacht barely matters)
Shi No Numa
Der Riese
*TIME WARP!!!!*
Kino
FIVE/Ascension
CotD
Shangri La
Moon/Nuketown
*INSERT HIATUS*
TranZit
Die Rise
Buried
Mob and Origins are kind of 'outside' time as we know it, but if you were to look at things strictly linearly, they'd be before Verruckt.
I'm not really sure where people are getting this idea that Moon is in the 60s from.
-
115 brings things through time sure, but so far only through gates or portals or other supercharged devices, such as the mystery box.
Are you really trying to assert that a single poster in a skyscraper (I believe some of the buildings visible had completion dates past the 1960s as well, but THAT I don't remember a direct source for off the top of my head) was brought through time by 115 and hung neatly on the wall?
There is proof to back up my claim. The poster.
It is much more likely that the BO2 maps take place in the 20XX era rather than the idea that a single poster (and maybe some buildings) were displaced in time without disrupting any objects that already would have been occupying the space that those 'future' objects were moved to.
I'm pretty sure Moon was after CotD as well, TranZit is obviously after Moon.
Regardless TranZit is obviously after CotD.
CotD isn't blown up.
TranZit is not in the 60s.
-
He survived because Tranzit is in the 60s as well.
TranZit is in the 2025s.
Die Rise has been proven to have been in that time frame. So unless you want to say that the Earth was already blown up by the time of Call of the Dead, and that the N4 had time traveled to get to Die Rise...

Is lastt Gen getting SOE in full?
I mean, last I heard (which admittedly was some time ago), Treyarch was responsible solely for the development of the next gen titles, and Activision handed the task of TRYING to fit as much of the full experience as possible in the last gen discs to a separate developer.
So although their intent is to fit zombies on last gen, it may be scaled down, or entirely seperate (BO zombies for Nintendo DS anyone?)
So we don't know if SOE in full or even at all will be on last gen.

What is "Eco-zombies"?
Is it fuel efficient?
Is it GMO free?
Is it 100% recycled?

I'm at odds with Treyarch and bonus maps right now.
BO1 was FANTASTIC, with the classic maps available to hardened only for many months, and then Moon for free.
BO2 was GARBAGE, with only one mediocre map at launch, and then the exclusive bonus map have zero days of true exclusivity.
BO3 could go either way, although I'm betting it'll follow BO2's path closer, because this map is releasing new story content, rather than just rereleasing old maps like BO1.
I was pretty thoroughly upset with BO2 though. I spent some $15 more on the hardended edition than I would have spent if I just bought Nuketown Zombies seperately, and for what? A terrible camo, an avatar prop, some coins, a box, and a playercard.
-
Matuzz brought up the most important bit of info here.
BO2 had an all new zombies campaign as well.
Zombies campaign just seems to refer to the season, or the collective of maps and the Easter egg storyline that goes with them for release on this disc and accompanying DLC.
Zombies campaign, just worded as that, simply means more zombies maps.

I very much appreciated the multiple vocalists in Archangel. I hope we see more songs of that nature personally.

Maybe you should post a screen cap, or a link to the statement on it.
Besides, I happen to remember notable companies changing their minds before.
Nintendo had made a statement once that after their Mewtwo DLC experiment for SSB4, they did not plan on releasing any more DLC characters.
Then they made a trailer for another DLC character.
Then they went ahead and released 3 at once shortly after E3.
Even if they really did say word for word that The Giant will be the only repeated location in zombies in BO3, doesn't mean it is impossible.
I would like to see this quote though, it must be from an interview or panel that I missed.
Granted I have to agree that Der Riese is the only location that really makes sense for a revisit in a rewrite.
Assuming the cutscene and gameplay take place immediately after Richtofen betrays Maxis, then Maxis and Samantha are not yet in control of anything.
What follows is Samantha appearing on Moon and running into the MPD while scared and alone after Richtofen's scientists charge up the MPD. Maxis then will somehow be located from wherever he is and then will be brought to the MPD to try and coax Samantha out, when that fails he will be shot and absorbed into the Moon computer systems through the MPD.
But since none of that has happened yet, Maxis is still alive, and Samantha may or may not have just reached the MPD.
If she has, then Moon might make sense. If she hasn't yet, then Der Riese alone is the only pivot point.
Anyway, that's my two cents.

Normality is irrelevant.
The ideal statistically 'normal' person is a southeast asain man. Anyone and everyone else is abnormal to varying degrees.I don't see why that is being really brought up. It doesn't matter. It is irrelevant and should be dropped henceforth.
The 'readiness' of the world is irrelevant.
I'll humor the subject though with the statement that the world, or at least the Western world, is absolutely ready for it. As evidenced by it happening in many many places already, and now happening in the US. If we were not 'ready' then chaos and riots unimaginable would have ensued.
Regardless however, the readiness of the world is irrelevant to answering if it is right.
Whether allowing homosexual marriages to be given the same rights and privileges as heterosexual marriages is is right, is the only important question.
Because if you answer yes to that, then regardless of any other information you must support them being awarded their withheld rights, otherwise you simply are a bigot. There is no way around it. None. You cannot say they deserve equality but cannot have it because some people will throw a tantrum. There is no other important debate here. None.
Just : Do homosexual couples deserve access to the same opportunities, rights, and privileges as heterosexual couples? That's it. Nothing else.
A debate on whether the court has the right to decide this, or anything; a debate on whether states deserve more power; a debate on whether normality is important, all of these deserve a separate thread, and a separate discussion not tied directly to homosexual marriage.

What our founders wanted has absolutely no impact on what is right.
It is invariably not right to allow anyone, of any class or creed, to deny two consenting adults who are in uncoerced love to have access to any privilages which any other two consenting adults who are in uncoerced love may have.
The issue here really is that simple.
You can throw a fit with how it was done, or with how it goes against historical intent, but that isn't what matters.
Do you want to be remembered as someone who stood by clinging to a rule book written centuries ago, by people who could never imagine a world with instant global communication, by people who barely understood our place in the universe, by people who had to build most products by hand.
or do you want to see an end be brought to the restrictions of the rights of a few by the will of a few more?
-
It is definitely about damn time.
I have fun talking with some of my Candian friends, they laugh at my stories and say I have to be joking when it comes to things like the resistence against gay marriage, or the fact that hospital visits to fix an arm cost an arm and a leg, or the fact that getting my education will put me in debt for many many years.
At least our country finally made one step towards the sensible.
I'd initially thought about following this with an apology to those who believe that that court descision was a terrible mistake, but I've since decided I don't really have to apologize for my opinion on this.
Uncoerced mutual love between two consenting adults shouldn't be denied any state sanctioned rights protections, benefits, or titles.
No matter what their genders may be.

I liked most of New Vegas more, excpet that it felt too easy to me and a little too empty.
I feel like Bethsoft filled the Capitol Wasteland up with more stuff than Obsidian did to the mojave.
Invisible walls also.
The Mojave had a few (very few) invisible walls on some mountains and other areas, where as the Capitol Wasteland had no such thing.
I liked 3's environment better, and difficulty.
Plus the missions just felt like they had more substance to me.
I like most of the weapons, mechanics, and the idea of factions in New Vegas.
All in all, I would say NV was more fun, 3 was 'better' and more satisfying.
I never played clasic fallout, so this is someone who started with 3, and was a Bethsoft TES fan since Daggerfall. (I was too young for Arena)
Anyways, I'm super excited for 4. I hope Bethsoft takes pointers from NV, and ideally from Obsidian directly.
I look forward to the first 'next gen' Bethsoft game. I hope they do something fantastic, and don't dumb down like they have been doing to TES.
It's been slowly transitioning from RPG to sandbox action/adventure. The differences between the genres are subtle but enough to put me off.

It's still a little slow on mobile, and unfortunately it prioritizes weird things, usually leaving white boxes in some places for a few seconds, (still persists in 'reloading' the background when scrolling, but only seems to be the background now.)
It has gotten a significant bit better, and I'm sure time will keep in improving, but the whole design just seems wrong for mobile.
It's too busy, too many floating boxes over a semi-static background.
Like right now in this thread, the actual thread takes up all of my screen (which is good) except for about an 1/8 or so of my screen on the left side. There it's just a background, it looks weird having the 'site' not take up the whole screen.
Other than that, though, much better than it was a few days ago at least.
-
The site has become a pain in the backside to use via mobile, as I pretty much exclusively do, I've been missing out on a lot here.
I cannot find a new content page, I cannot find status feed, the borders on mobile look like crap, there is far too much white on mobile around text boxes, some quote boxes, in the polls, and in the stats at the bottom of the screen.
The notications pop up menu is buggy and unusuable on mobile.
The site seems to load quicker, but it also only seems to load the content of my screen. Scrolling forces it to load more (although it is very brief it is annoying).
It looks sleeker maybe, but it also feels clustered and almost less ordered.
I'd say I'd get used to it, but the mobile usage severely sucks compared to the old site, and if that doesn't get fixed I doubt I'll use this site enough to get used to things.
Sorrry to be a complainer, I just don't like it much. It was an unpleasant surprise when I came back to CoDz to check on the teaser info and found I could barely navigate the site.

Wait is that #4 or #3?
There are only 3 videos on the OP.

It'd be certainly fun, but I feel like it'd end up defeating the purpose of why I chose my field anyways.
If Treyarch ever builds a radio scope array then we'll talk. ;)

I wonder if they need a physics consultant... :P

I'm sad this died.

Congrats to all!
Gladd to see some recognition go in the direction of Mix and Matuzz especially. Tac and PINNAZ were already famous enough ;)

Maybe it just happens to fit my play style better then, I don't mean to offend.
I just honestly think it plays the same if not easier than normal zombies to me.
The infested round I will conceed to being a difficult bonus round if you aren't used to it.
-
I feel like adding in my two cents here, so gather round kiddos, time for crabby ol' MegaAfroMan, ruiner of dreams and crusher of souls to spin you a tall of epicness and disappointment.
So, first the topic at hand, I feel like the mode is interesting to say the least. There are things I like, such as the new mobility and the appearance of bonus waves and regular unique zombie types. I love the contact grenades. The game feels fast paced, even if it really isn't in some regards. I mostly like the upgrade system.
There are some things I don't like. I don't like how small the map actually feels. With the speed you can traverse via the exo boosts and the trash chutes, the map feels like a smaller Kino Der Toten. I don't like how the EM zombies are pretty much the only response to your vastly expanded aerial capabilities. If they couldn't EMP you from the ground it would be teribly broken, as you can pretty much run a 'loop' by constantly jumping over your zombies, leading them a bit so the bunch up again, and then repeating allowing for less opportunity to get stuck by a suprise zombie here and there. I don't like how quickly all your goals finish and how early on the late game begins. The way things are in the map it seems like pretty much past 25 you're going to do the same thing over and over, where at least in Treyarch zombies there were a few options that held viable until 35-40 before you really had to settle into the given wonder weapon/ trap system that worked on the map.
There are some things I'd like better with small changes. I'd like to see more zombies utilizing their boost jumps.
I'd like the upgrade syste to be augmented, such that mk 10 and mk 20 are radical jumps in power and feel more rewarding.
I'd like more perks and a perk limit to be introduced personally.
Overall though it doesn't hold my attention like Treyarch does.
Origins and Mob are weird in how much they give you to do, and some don't like that. I love it and this map feels empty by comparison. Even more than though, even TranZit feels more 'full' than this map. With buildables (even though they mostly sucked) the need to transport long distances (even though it is often very annoying) melee weapons and so on. There is more to aim for in that map, and that was a pretty poor zombie map in my opinion.
So it is fun, but it feels empty and it actually feels easy, and in later game it feels slow even though everything appears to most fast, the actual rounds and progression feels very slow.
Now onto whether I believe it to be valid to compare this mode to Treyarch's Zombies and have expectations based upon those comparisons. First of all, of course you're allowed to make comparisons. You're always allowed. I can be upset if one game does something better than another game, even if they're different companies and different platforms, and even different genres.
But the issue further becomes how deep you can run the comparison appropriately.
To me, Exo Zombies feels just like zombies. I honestly don't notice a different in play style.
You start of with nothing, you slowly work towards a goal (exo suit rather than power) you get stronger with perks and guns, you upgrade your set up, you collect points, and you train zombies.
Whomever had said training was impossible or harder in exo zombies before it dropped must have been a poor player. Day one playing, 3rd game, I made it to 30 with 3 and I'm an average player at best with a handful of 50s at max.
There is few significant differences and no core differences that I can see. If someone has one they'd like to state I'll gladly discuss how truly game changing such a feature is or isn't.
So absolutely you can compare this to Treyarch in my opinion. And in my opinion the comparison is very valid and strong.
Also keep in mind when comparing maps you have to factor in ALL the previous maps that they used to gather data from.
You can't just compare Outbreak to Nacht and say "look how much more it has!".
So by comparison, it feels like they added maybe as many things to 'classic zombies' as BO2 did with the buildable system.
To me it isn't revolutionary, it's just a different version of Kino essentially.

I'm torn honestly.
I'm at this weird inbetween where I want classic feeling maps like Der Riese or so in size and scope.
Because I absolutely would say all three of the N4 maps are at least in the bottom 5 maps on my list of preferences.
However, I loved al the objectives and gameplay rewards linked to the puzzles in Origins and MotD.
So I guess I want a map with a simple design and just stoked full of optional objectives?
I don't know anymore. Just bring back Double Tap 2 and give us a Double Tap 3 so that those two perks and Pack a Punch can make any gun a killer into the low 50s.
I honestly need to see much more gameplay, and even then I probably will just have to play it a few times to get a feel for it.
