The moon is indeed bigger, much bigger, maybe they want to hint out that its a role in the story?

even in the small picture of the map (when you select the map in the nazi zombies menu) you can see the moon next to the rocket.

it all points out that the moon has something to do with the future maps. don't you agree?

PS: I sure hope not, I would get dissapointed if that's the new map. except they put a lot of work in it.

We are 99% sure that Sam captured Gersch in her own dimension. but why?

I have 1 theory:

Gersch was experimenting with the Gersch device and he accidentaly got sucked in what (probably) is the dimension of Sam. Sam thought 'hey, what are you doing here' and just thought: 'ah well if you're here why won't i just hold you here'.

Maybe some different inputs of people will help, do you agree? or do you think there's another reason.

Claims about the existence of Die Glocke originated in the works of Igor Witkowski. His 2000 Polish language book Prawda O Wunderwaffe (The Truth About The Wonder Weapon, reprinted in German as Die Wahrheit über die Wunderwaffe), refers to it as "The Nazi-Bell". Witkowski wrote that he first discovered the existence of Die Glocke by reading transcripts from an interrogation of former Nazi SS Officer Jakob Sporrenberg. According to Witkowski, he was shown the supposedly classified transcripts in August 1997 by an unnamed Polish intelligence contact who claimed to have access to Polish government documents regarding Nazi secret weapons.[2] Witkowski maintains that he was only allowed to transcribe the documents and was not allowed to make any copies. Allegedly an experiment carried out by Third Reich scientists working for the SS in a German facility known as Der Riese ("The Giant")[5] near the Wenceslaus mine and close to the Czech border, Die Glocke is described as being a device "made out of a hard, heavy metal" approximately 9 feet wide and 12 to 15 feet high having a shape similar to that of a large bell. According to Cook, this device ostensibly contained two counter-rotating cylinders which would be "filled with a mercury-like substance, violet in color. This metallic liquid was code-named “Xerum 525”" and was otherwise cautiously "stored in a tall thin thermos flask a meter high encased in lead".[6] Additional substances said to be employed in the experiments, referred to as Leichtmetall (light metal), "included thorium and beryllium peroxides".[6] Cook describes Die Glocke as emitting strong radiation when activated, an effect that supposedly lead to the death of several unnamed scientists[7] and various plant & animal test subjects.[6] Based upon certain external indications, Witkowski speculates that the ruins of a metal framework in the vicinity of the Wenceslas mine (aesthetically dubbed "The Henge") may have once served as test rig for an experiment in "anti-gravity propulsion" generated with Die Glocke[8]; others, however, dismiss the derelict structure as simply being a conventional industrial cooling tower.

I think if you look at the ressemblance between this scientific group and nazi zombies it is safe to say that it is all based on this. even the anti-gravity propulsion is similar to something in nazi zombies: the fly trap.

It's smart of Treyarch to put those phones in the game. i believe that both maps are in the same time. think about it. you hear them fight against zombies when listening to the phones, AND they are 4 other characters. i don't know more about the 2 maps but i'm almost sure it's happening at the same time

I still think 'beware of the 6' means beware of the new crawler zombied (nova6) zombies. because you can read it immediately from the beginning of the map (so that you know from the beginning something will happen), and the nova6 zombies were new in nazi zombies.

Wow, Mods please just lock this topic, we've clearly gone WAY off topic. I understand that there's differences between the two. But if you guys would actually read the original posts it's about the connections between the two, not the differences. Yet all you guys continue to comment on is how different apes and gorillas are, blind to the fact that the topic is on similarities between the Ascension monkeys and the Cosmic Silverback. And I think any 1st grader can see there are similarites between a chimp(monkey,rhesus,whatever!) in a spacesuit and a gorilla(ape,silverback,whatever!) in a spacesuit. Yes, there are differences between the two. But there are definate similarities that anyone that's looking at them can tell. You people have taken part of my posts so far out of context that you have derived from the original topic COMPLETELY!

i already stated they were primates if you bothered to read the entirety of my post good sir. and if you want to get into taxonomy' date=' they are still separated by family genus and species. the main difference being that monkeys have tails and apes do not. that being said, its not unlikely the soviets used both apes and monkeys in thier space tests. and as a side note, apes and humans only branch at the level of Genus. btw, what the heck is a domain? kingdom is as general as it gets.[/quote']

People said that Sam & Maxis were killed by a hellhound mother Fluffy, seems they were wrong about that too...

I remember talking about how Sam, Maxis & Fluffy teleported just before Fluffy could kill Sam. Some how after they transported Fluffy become the hellhound mother giving birth to the hellhounds and Sam altered into some kind of demonic energy that retained some of the child Sam's memories and feelings of hate towards the crew. Maxi also survived and became trapped in the mystery box somehow and teases the team by moving it...

I got all this from Dr. Edward Richtofens quotes from Der Reise, I know I posted this somewhere. I'll see if I can find it... Free brains if you can find it first.

that's the stupiest idea ever. do you really think that it's legal for teyarch to do against xbox? they have a contract with microsoft to get the map pack earlier then the other consoles. i don't think the agreement was that they get half the map.

I think two things can happen.

1 You guys are indeed right, there will be a patch and the story continues

2 The story continues in the next map, if that's the case the story in ascension will be a big bummer. there are (again) more questions then answers.

Quite funny, I posted this forum so that we maybe find out a little bit more about the story. but instead there is a discussion wether a monkey or an ape are related to each other. i personally think that there is something related to the monkey round and the cosmic silverback. how weird of Treyarch would it be to make 2 different stories with (almost) the same creature in the same suit?

Perhaps the Centrifuge does something to help the players. As everyone knows, there is a little power for the players at the beginning. Maybe there IS someone in the centrifuge helping out, using the Centrifuge. I KNOW there is an emergency brake inside the Centrifuge, but what about emergency start??? Maybe Yuri(or someone else) is inside the Centrifuge, giving thanks in advance for helping him, or helping the players so that it is easier for them to free him(although I personally think the Centrifuge helps me NONE). Maybe Sam is in it, they do say that Sam is controlling the players fate.

Where in the code did you read this?? Perhaps you've seen something we missed? I know there's quite a few people that have torn the code apart and I've never heard anything along these lines about the Orb going back to spawn. Although it could make sense as the screens go black and white temporarily when the team recieves the death machines,like it was at the beginning of the game in the spawn room.

I think this code just means that the soul spawns and rises up. i don't believe that spawns means it is at the spawn point of the 4 characters. i'm not sure i could be far wrong

I totally agree.

The story of ascension is finished. that's that. when Sam said "come and find me" I'm pretty sure that this story continues in the next map.

Don't forget what nazi zombies stand for. Play against infinite waves of zombies and see how long you last. the story is fun but not the prime goal of Nazi Zombies.

I have 2 things to put out here:

In the arcade mode of zombies, you have a boss wich is a cosmic silverback (zombie gorilla in space suit).

In ascension you have the well-known monkey rounds, wich are monkeys who are dressed (if i'm not mistaken) in space suites. maybe there is a connection?

I noticed a couple of things about this story:

- the names of the monkeys are the letters of the russian alfabet (we all saw at least 3 of the letters in ascension at the 3 landers)

- Also the name Fidel Castro is well familiar with most of you.

-AND the monkeys that were used by the soviet union to shoot into space are rhesus monkeys. the size of these monkeys are similar to the monkeys in the monkey round.

What do you guys think about this?

I'm just throwing it out there and i'm curious what people think about these things.
