  1. i was watching the first strike trailer, and i noticed it showed a treyarch develper working on a computer for about a few seconds, and i noticed that the screen looked a bit like a map layout, it does not resemble any of the multiplayer maps, tell me what you think. its about (23 seconds in) right after JD_2020 mentions acsention

  2. not EVERYONE goes on FB, some people only go to twitter or the cod website, why would they give that sort of information ONLY to fans that go on FB?

and have u thought how boring a launch facullty would be? mostly small and cramped, and you wont be able to even fly the rocket to space.

lighthouse theory would not be small, and island with light house in it, finally a map with plenty of room, not a small confined area

i was hoping for a map with more room to run and not feel so closterfobic

  3. im not going to believe this just yet, but i got a few questions,

did you "defeat"(as u say it didnt die) the "Cosmic Silverback" with just your Scorpion on round 7?

im surprised it didnt hit u atleast once, must be slow and weak.

why did you not open the door at ground level? if i was in your possition i would have explored as much as possible.

  4. Not to sure about this but call of duty wikia say this

In a book by Rudolf Lusar called The German Weapons and Secret Weapons of World War Two and Their Development, a weapon very similar to this one is described. It was said to shatter wooden boards at a range of 200 yards by using jets of compressed air. It was also ready to use at an engagement at a bridge over the Elbe in 1945, but was not actually used.

im not sure how reliable this sorce is " http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/2227076/posts" but the weapon you are describing seems more like the " wind cannon" this site describes, the Vortex Guns discription to me seems more like the Thunder gun we know of

"The vortex gun was designed to try and take advantage of the known fact that air turbulence could bring down large aircraft and break them into pieces. The vortex gun’s shells, containing coal-dust and a slow-burning explosive in the center, were supposed to create an artificial whirlwind or tornado, which would make enemy airplanes lose control and thus fall from the sky. During testing and under near perfect conditions this odd device seemed to work quite well. It wasn’t known if the air pressure would actually cause structural failure in a plane, but the pressure it put on the wings would probably be very high and that might be enough to down the aircraft. Fortunately for the Allies, the vortex gun was never put into practice."

this i think was the insperation of the Thunder gun for Trearch

  5. the Z-C "ENG" teleporter leads to England or light house , the Z-A "FRA" teleporter leads to France or the Eiffel Tower, from the pictures on the boards on Der Riese, the Z-B "GERman" teleporter leads to a thearter or Kino Der Untoten, so im sure Ascention will be in the Eiffel tower or light house

  6. im having a little trouble finding this reels so it would help me, as well as alot of other people if someone made a video of all there locations :D pluse more people can help investate if they could find them.

if such a video already exicist please send it to me.

  7. My question is HOW is it cheap...when it is 100 times harder to kill people with it than UMP, ACR, FAMAS, noob-toob, commando...the list goes on and on

just read what JD has to say...

1] Explosives are not more powerful than Quickscoping. You have one, or two explosives - not magazines worth in rapid succession.

2] Anyone who Quickscopes will say automatics are easier; that's human nature when defending a point. More importantly is the irrelevance of this point. It doesn't detract from how frustrating and annoying it is for every other player when a quickscoper who has crosshairs taped to his TV screen can Left-Trigger, Right-Trigger before the scope is even fully visible on the screen. That's not how Snipers operate, and is not a fair way to play.

3] All quickscoping kills are cheap. You're firing your bullet, getting your one-shot-kill while the screen is still BLACK from pulling up your sights. You're leveraging Aim Assist and the fact that the bullet will travel perfectly straight upon sighting in with a Sniper Rifle to get a laser-accurate, One-Shot-Kill. It's an exploit.

4] It requires timing, that's for sure - but it does not require aim. When considering the impact Aim Assist, and taping crosshairs on a TV monitor have on Quickscoping.

When I called Quickscoping "cheap" I wasn't saying that because I can't do it. I know I can't do it, presently. If I practiced enough, however, I could be just as lethal as anybody with it. But that's specifically what we do not want this game to become. A Quickscoper cannot hide behind a "well everyone can do it if they try hard enough" argument. Then the entire game would consist of people running around hopping with sniper rifles in their hand.

I know not all Quickscopers do it to be cheap. Some do it because they find it fun, or want the cool montage. But there are plenty of other cool things to make montages of, that do not negatively influence the ecosystem in such a resounding way. Think of it like this: for every one Quickscoper, there's an entire team of angry players who find it annoying. "Cheap" is just another synonym often used to describe this frustration. It's unreasonable to ask them to "suck it up" just so this tiny community of quickscopers (by comparison to the global community of players) can have their fun.

It doesn't matter if a team of non-Quickscopers will beat a team of Quickscopers every time. I bet my team could beat a team of Quickscopers, no problem. But it wouldn't change the fact that we'd be gritting our teeth in frustration the entire match, which is something as developers we do not want to see.

    Regards,

    -JD

  8. alright yes quick scoping can be cheap...but really now take out something that was fun for (some) people...there's always gonna be a way to quickscope no matter how CHEAP it is.

if thats true,if theres always a way to do it, then why do so many quickscopers go crazy when JD says you wont be able to quickscope anymore?

  9. ....if not then there will be a new trend some one will make and there are many possibilities like the cross bow...people are gonna be making lots of montages with the cross bow....

the cross bow may be 1 shot kill but its balanced, only 2 shots of ammo, and after you stick someone with it, theres plenty of time on the explosive for them to run up to you, and take you down with them

i see there being no problem with the cross bow.

also the problem is not that it is a " trend" the problem is that Quick scoping is, as JD says " CHEAP"

  10. I am glad they still have gore in single player and zombies, but does anyone know why the reduced the gore for multiplayer?

I don't think anyone knows when the Co-op trailer will be out. I was also looking forward to it on Friday only to be disappointed...

The gore was removed from Multiplayer to make room for all the customazation

  11. its mostly the community. in cod4 and W@W there was one homogeneous group of gamers who played fairly and it was fun for everybody, while there was a few noobs that didn't mess up the game because they couldn't do anything that was annoying, and they were not successful if they tried (except for mp40 jugg, but that wasnt a big deal if you use the ppsh). It was, in all aspects, the closest to perfection a game has been since the ocarina of time. in MW2, almost everything in the game had been made to cater to the casual audience, which was a great marketing technique, but they forgot about their biggest fans, the hardcore audience. so in MW2, there were then 3 new factions created, each with their own level of maturity. The hardcore fans split into two separate groups. the more mature ones split up and became the tactical players. these people are too often labeled as campers, because they will hold a strategic position to get kills as long as possible. they won't do anything overly cheap, but they will use nearly any tactic so long as it is effective. i am one of these. then there are the 'pros', the least mature group. these people were the ones who hated noobs the most in cod4 and W@W, so now that MW2 has so many noobs, they feel that they need to prove themselves to be good players by handicaping themselves and encouraging others to do so. for example, quickscopers who are less efficient with a sniper rifle, yet they scream like bitches whenever someone doesnt quickscope. they also like to knife, and bragg about how many nukes they can get. yeah, these guys piss me off. then the last group are the noobs who like to noob toob and do things similar, and they are of middle maturity and dont understand how much they piss people off.

my advice to fellow tactical players, MW2 will freaking rock when black ops comes out, because all the noobs and 'pros' will go play black ops, so we can get some actual fun out of MW2.

    [brains]

you never know the noobs may get upset that u need skill to play Black Ops and return to MW2

    or

they will stay and gain skill with combat training

  12. idk to me the music is a little off. not exactly the same but close, say you are right all you want but it doesnt matter. i wont believe in HL untill i see a refrence of him in an offical trailer or in the accual game
