  1. I just finished Mass Effect 2, it is such a great game! Absolutely amazing. I finished with all of my crew surviving and loyal, which only made it better. I am definitely going to do an Insanity run of the trilogy. Onward to Mass Effect 3!

Seems like your enjoying it, I am going to play it soon but I've been horribly sidetracked by Dark souls :P

  2. Great to see you back again tac.

I've loved reading the theory's you've brought back so far and can't wait to see what else you have to say.

It's always great to have another theorist around the site

  3. Tier 4: Hellhound, Gas Zombie, Ghost Lady / Sarah

Tier 6: Napalm Zombie, Jumping Jack, "Him" / Avogadro

Tier 8: Cerberus / Beast, Giants, George Romero

Just to throw in my 2 cents

I think I think George Romero, Sarah Faraday and Cerberus sound the best for there respective ranks (if it is possible to fit the names in), but do agree that Sarah belongs at tier 4 rather than 8. "Him" would also be my preferred name.

I also think the giant (Robot) should be included somewhere as he is a very iconic entity in Origins and I think he looks good in the userbar. I would definitely like it as a high rank.

  4. I think it's just a contemplation thing. I agree it is kind of strange to have them go off on these lengthy back stories when downed, but when the N4/O4 was downed we wouldn't hear anything. All the more reason to believe that MOTD takes place far away from the story we know.

I imagined that it would simply be to create a more complete story form the characters, they only get one map so there is no time to build up a back story through multiple maps, which is possible with the N4/O4

    .

No other quotes are trigger-able when downed so it was a good time to throw some back-story in, form a non gameplay perspective your idea of it being contemplation is a good explanation. Personally I found it to be a nice surprise when I first heard them and found them very interesting

  5. Glad he took it down though. So obvious he was using assets from Mario. I'm pretty sure the bird is just the fish without a top fin and tail fin.

Although it was proven he didn't directly take the Mario sprites, the resemblance is uncanny

But the reason given for taking it down was that the public response to it was too strong and he was receiving threats of various nature related to the game and money he made.

  6. I feel very lucky to have avoided this game, I got it because my sister wanted me to get it so I did, played a few games, got to 6 and then deleted it

I can actually still download it if I want because I use to have it but I feel no need to do so :P

If you're interested my sisters high score is 75

  7. I'd imagine they would show up as you start to complete the EE, they wouldn't be there at the very start but maybe when you build all staffs they appear.

But that's still a really interesting find, I've never saw anyone mention that and I find it funny we managed to complete the egg and never even found these (Unless they have been found before I I've just never saw them)

I'll go have a look at them when I get some time later to see if I can confirm when they show up

  8. Time wise I feel that we spent some time trying to work out what to do next, now that we know how to do it it should go quicker.

And I feel we burned a few rounds on killing the zombie with the zombie blood. If we can organise that better it would really help. Missing the ice parts hit very hard as you said, but over all I think we have a good plan and hopefully we can get closer to the target some time.

I had a great time playing with you guys, any idea if we will be trying again?

  9. Personally I prefer the more complex maps but I do so for a rather different reason to most  I'd image

To help explain my opinion I fist want to say that I don't like the idea of keeping a crawler or zombie to buy perks or hit the box, by that I mean I love running about mid round doing this sort of stuff. I understand that it is obviously not efficient in terms of minimizing downs or even getting to high rounds but I find it much more enjoyable to have a sense of danger and fighting my way across the map to do these sort of things.

I also hear a lot of people talking about getting "Set up" for a high round the fastest way, working out the best route to take and the order they must do each thing in. while I can see the appeal and usefulness of that I can't stand the idea myself.

I had a friend I played with for a while who took this to extremes and would insist that we couldn't pick up a nuke until it flashed every time so we would get the most points and many thing like that and if you didn't do it perfectly he would start to get really annoyed. I don't play with him much anymore.

I find that having everything I need for the rest of the game on round 9 for example make the rest of the game very tedious as it then come to simply training or camping it out as long as possible, of course I understand that these tactics are essential for a high round run I want to avoid that for as long as possible, so I can run around the map doing different things until it gets to the rounds where training zombies in the best location is the only practical option left and at that point I do enjoy it and regard myself as being fairly good at it.

This enjoyment of the frantic early stages of most games, getting my guns and perks, is why I enjoy the more complex maps as it mean I have more objectives to complete and I can spend longer running around doing different stuff. I will find myself filling the boxes in origins and when I claim my reward I very rarely use it but I will till try to fill the boxes most games I play. If I'm playing solo I'll go out of my way to build all the staffs even if I am only planning on using one.

TL/DR: I suppose it really come down to what you consider to be fun, whether that is getting to high rounds or just getting some epic clutch moments while running around the map trying to complete different objectives. I find the later more fun and thus I find the complex maps much more enjoyable. I also enjoy going for high rounds but even then I prefer to make these attempts on a more complex map where it might have been easier or faster to do so on a simpler map.

  10. Two ways with Brutus, headshots headshots headshots. And the second is don't turn the sweeper into the vitriolic withering. One close range hip fire shot aimed at a Brutus' head will kill him.

As for the skull by jug, either get it going back up on gondola, or jump by jug, but with a light weapon, smg or a pistol.

I find that jumping at jug is much easier, it's to hard to time the throw on the gondola. I seem to get lucky jumping to get it as I usually get it first try

  11. I hate bounty hunter pricks.

What is the point of a bounty if not to be hunted?

Any time I see a bounty in a game I will chase it down and thus spend a lot of my time doing it,

that or playing my "Kill everyone in the game once" game. It leads to some fantastic moments

  12. Ugg origins storyline was horribly dealt with.

While the maxis backstory of the multiple radios was nice, the annoying girl screaming to do the easter egg in your ear, the fact the map was built around the easter egg, and the horrible ending cutscene made me LIVID…

Ignoring the ending for now, I would agree that the origins story may not have been my favorite either but what I am focusing on is the way in witch it was delivered. I feel that if the go back to the story in the main "Dimension" (or start a new story or whatever they decided to do) and continue to tell us it in the same way they did in origins I would be happy

I'd be fine with having NO story if it mean't a better map.  I think Der Riese had the prime level of story-line; VERY subtle; you had to look for individual clues and piece it together to figure out what happened.

Although game-play and map design is important, the story has become such a large part of zombies and I feel has largely contributed to it's continued success and I think a lot of people would have a problem with a map without story even if it was a lot of fun to play. They should have to time and resources to work on both

  13. Also   the storyline needs a LOT of work, at least the amount of work as BO1.

However less emphasis on the easter egg is a must. They should have the first map maybe, focus on it, but the rest need to be kept secret, and hidden.

REAL radios need to come back….

After seeing origins I don't think we have much to worry about story wise. I think it proved that they have learnt how to balance small EE such as radios, posters, codes and hidden scraps of paper with the main side quest. As regards to "Real radios" what is wrong with the radios in origins?

I would personally prefer even more focus on the smaller stuff but I would be happy to see a balance on the level of origins throughout our next zombies installment

  14. I recently started to play zombies again and was playing origin with randoms, they all had mics so I decided to turn mine on (Witch I rarely do) and we ended up having some pretty fun games. On one game I went down without revive on round 22 after having to reload and missed shooting the robot's foot but next round I managed to get a mp40 and train until I got 115 head shots (Been using ray gun most of the game so I was low on head shots) and got a PAP Gail from the reward box and we ended up getting to round 30.

It felt awesome to make a full comeback so late in the game as I didn't have many points

  15. I'll probable give online another go now that there is a few pieces of new content, I am still slowly working towards level 100 for all achevments

But I am really hoping that they can improve on the online system, I feel that the world is great and there are some really fun missions but they have not given enough content that is easy to access to keep most people playing.

I am hoping a future update or DLC can radically change how the "Job" system works if you just want to play with friends without paying for ammo or needing levels and maybe they will even bring back some of the classic GTA4 jobs.

  16. One of the thing I am most proud of are quite simple things but I felt awesome finding them,

When playing on shangri-la I noticed a few diffrent sets of writing about the place, Illuminate code around the gongs and a strange (and to this day unknowan to me) set of symbols on the side of the Wonder weapon on that map, It seemed like no one else had found them and even though they turned out to be pratically useless, it felt awesome to find them.
