My first thought would be that they're coordinates, but since we've ruled that out, my second thought would be to look for patterns.

Here are two suggestions I was thinking of: convert all letters to numbers and compare, convert all numbers to letters and compare.

In roughly 15 minutes the forum will be going down in order for us to perform some backend updates to prepare for the launch of medals. The forum should only be done for a few minutes, so hopefully it won't be too much of a nuisance.

If we wanted it to directly benefit us we would have to fork out 700-800 dollars for them to make a specific app just for us.

No, I don't want it to be like that. The Grammar Enthusiast medal will instead be given out spontaneously to those users who deserve it at the time. If a staff members things that a member is worthy of it, they will have the opportunity to award the user with the medal.

I've listened to both sides of the argument, and I think that we will stick with the 340 kill requirement. Like mentioned before, it will give people a good goal to work towards. It's very much the same manner as the prestiges in that absolutely NO ONE will have 10th prestige on the forum. Carbon will be the only one to have 9th prestige. Because these requirements are high, it will give things for people to work up to, and that's what I want. I think the requirements are fair, and so for the time being, that's how they will stay.

Would you guys be interested in me making a donation page to show you all how much has been paid? I think I could also set it up to show who has donated what amount, or it could be made anonymously.

The forum maintenance that was being performed (which was never accomplished properly) had nothing to do with the home page. Either way, I know about it being down, and I've been working on it.

Only 18 eh? Perhaps I am just used to the other forums I attend that's full of old farts lol. I naturally assumed you we're at least 20 or so, but that's impressive! As far as seeing you around the forums, I don't believe I even in so much talked to you before until shortly after you promotion to Admin, and even further more after the medals system has been brought forth and lately has been put into motion.

I actually just turned 19 this past month, so yeah. But also, I've been with the site ever since I was 16, so I've made quite the advancement from a regular user all the way up to being an administrator and site owner. :)

Not to sound pushy, but about how long do you suppose the new theme and medals will be introduced, give or take?

I don't really have a date set in stone, but I'm hoping to get both out as soon as possible. Once things get a bit closer, I'll be sure to let everyone know. It will require various forum updates and so most likely those will be done overnight so that most users won't be online when the forums go down for those updates.

We're working on that as well. We've been looking into changing hosts and hopefully upgrading the server, so hopefully we'll learn more about that soon enough. :)

Hey guys, just somewhat of an update. We've been considering using a new forum theme and we believe we've found one that we like. And so because of that, we tested out the new medals system on the new theme and they work fantastically. Personally, I'm very excited for what that means in the long run. So hopefully we should have a nice and slick new forum theme along with the medals system here shortly. :D
