Zombies don't go for the meat???

i know if you are in a straight line between them and the meat the zombies will still hit you. Occasionaly 1 zombie might still go for you if it is reallly close when the meat is chucked but this is weird, a load of zombies suddenly decide to go after 1 guy whilst the meat is out
