  1. The claw is the killer, which is why it's important to understand how it works.

He's never gonna claw right when you enter his line of sight, only after a few seconds of being in his line of sight will he shoot the claw. By line of sight I mean when he will shoot it, since his ai for pathing is the same a zombie, he doesn't understand that he has a projectile. So if there is a waste high obstruction between you and him, then that's not his line of sight. Only when there is no objects, safe for zombies, between you and him.

I recommend to force his claw by staying a decent distance away in his line of sight, while moving side to side. As long as you are moving sideways, he'll never ever hit you with the claw. Once he misses, that's the time to unload. Make sure a zombie won't get behind you and kill/block you though. His head will be still until his claw is retracted. Repeat until dead.

  2. It's the spawns. I've noticed that the instant you kill a zombie, another spawns at the first or second closet spawn point to you. You constantly need to watch your back, and the layout of the map plus the mud everywhere can make running away hard. Personally I love Origins. Favorite Zombies map ever.

  3. I think it's just an oversight by Treyarch. They were probably meant to glow white/purple like in the trailer, but Mob of the Dead used the maximum amount of data possible, Buried crashed the game sometimes, I'm shocked Origins can even load as it is without crashing the 360. If they need to make that sacrifice to get it to run then fine.

  4. i heard somewhere, may or may not be true i dont know. But keep digging more and more after you get the helmet and you get boots, which make it so you can run normally through the mud

I need this... now. I hope it's real.

  5. I haven't played with randoms since Call of the Dead, only with friends since then. But I remember well. Get downed, immediately leave. Then there's like a 33% chance another guy is going to leave because there aren't 4 people. Then from there it's like 50% that the last guy leaves. Aaahhh... those were the days.

  6. I don't see what's wrong with the ending. So what if it's just two kids playing toys? That doesn't make the story any less real. That's like saying a book isn't a real story because someone made it up. The story of the 4 heroes fighting Group 935's zombie hordes, Richtofen and Sam switching bodies, the new 4 picking a side, this is still the story of Zombies. It's just that instead of the story being "Treyarch's" story, it's "Eddie and Sam's". But it's still the story.

What we got here was a Mob of the Dead style contained small story that breaks the canon saying things like Maxis died, the characters were even alive at this point, nobody knows who was in charge of the zombies, and so on. It was a riddle solved by the ending explaining that "Girls don't know enough about zombies." Which also explains Maxis' sudden obsession with reaching Argatha to be with Samantha in Buried.

As for people thinking that this is the start of the story... no. Just no. Stop looking for clues where none exist. Origins and the rest of Zombies cannot exist together, and Buried also makes no sense that way. Real Maxis had a daughter names Samantha, Origins Maxis had no kids and heard the voice of Samantha claiming to be his daughter and to free her from Argatha. Then became obsessed with reaching her. These two Maxises are fused together in Buried because "It's just a kids game." It makes no sense and cannot exist in a coherent world. What we should be looking forward to is Eddie's turn tomorrow. Next-gen Zombies anyone?

  7. I'm sure that it's not just me. The Panzer Soldat... he's absurdly tough. I can't count the number of times his first spawn was the end of my run, you know, before you have jug. And even with it, he's still extremely hard to kill. The only hope that you have is to get the Raygun Mark 2. That thing cuts him down in seconds. If my friends and I don't get it, we already start calling gg. How is he treating everyone else?

  8. Considering the achievement,

Master of Disguise - In Origins, use Zombie Blood to revive three players and activate a generator in one game.

I'd say that the new perk allows you to somehow harvest zombie blood and use it to disguise yourself as a zombie for a period of time.

  9. Okay now that that's out of the way we can get back to the real purpose of this thread.

So then Danny Trejo sent a D-mail to Weasel telling him not to buy a new phone which in turn lead to the world line shifting and causing Nikolai to shave his beard. Hopefully if the divergence is large enough then the map will be called Originsy and thus FEAR TEDDY will be complete. Achievement unlocked. (If anyone knows what I was referencing then you sir have taste.)

  10. Tank, Nikolai, and Takeo look about 20 in Origins. Richtofen looks around 40. It takes place in 1918, things kick off in the story somewhere after 1945. That would make Tank, Nikolai, and Takeo around 46 and Richtofen around 66. I'd say that matches up. Also people can look older than each other at the same age, Maxis in the picture could be the same age as Richtofen for all we know. And it's not unheard of for a guy to have a daughter around his 50s, especially back then.

  11. Personally I hate the idea of the bank and the fridge. Zombies used to be contained separate matches that experiences each time you played. There was an early game where you racked up points for perks and weapons, mid game where you saved for Pack-A-Punch and tried to get the essentials such as monkey's or in this case time bombs, and the late game where you're all set to go and the only thing left to do is kill as many as possible before running out of ammo. Now the only part that exists is late game and to me all three phases of a game is what makes Zombies what it is.

While we're on the topic I also dislike the Persistent Upgrades. They are so absurdly overpowered and give you free bonuses for nothing. A free 300 for sniper kills? What were they thinking?

However I do have money stashed in the bank and a Pap'ed gun in the fridge for the one realistic reason I see for it. Joining a match in progress. Sometimes I hop on and my buddies are already in a match, so I jump in, pull a reasonable amount of cash out and depending on how far the game is in grab the gun in the fridge just so I'm not screwed. But other than that I'd rather it not be around. But since I only play with my friends I've got no worries. We all think it's dumb and just don't use it.

  12. She'll follow you and drop the random perk if the lights to the house are on when you enter. They turn on every 5 or so rounds after being turned off.

  13. If rich is the one saying the first half, then follows up with for me to play with, he obviously means, "yes you guys will be heroes because you saved the world from getting blown to bits, but you accept me as god." Which means lo and behold RICH is trying to save the world (albeit the motive is debatable, the result isn't. Lives will be spared.), Maxis on the other side does not.

You're giving Richtofen way too much credit. When he says heroes that save the world, he's only talking for himself. Like "You'll save the world for me." Richtofen cares just as little about saving lives as Maxis, he just wants to have his tyrannical fun. I doubt he cars about being accepted as a god, he's just a nut getting kicks out of toying with people.

  14. Huge new discovery.

I found an entirely new Upgrade. It's gotten by getting a lot of explosive kills, possibly in a row. As of now I can't officially report any effects but I theorize it increases explosive damage. It seems to be lost by not using explosive weapons and possibly by flopping. I'll look more into it.

Also I've heard about a sniper Upgrade that gives massive points. I'll look into it.

  15. Obviously he still has a plan regarding Agartha, but I believe he can still get in there without killing everyone.

So his quote "Regretfully the Earth and its people will not survive." Is him believing he can save everyone? I'm certain he has no intention of saving or sparing anyone, Maxis has gone mad with the idea of being with Samantha. Nothing else matters to him.

  16. Maxis is trying to minimize the damage caused by Richtofen. Killing all the humans saves them from a life subjected to tyrannic rule by Richtofen as he plays with the world and all of its inhabitants.

Maxis doesn't care about saving people. His goal was to open the rift to Argatha with the missiles, he was clearly lying when he said he wanted to minimize damage, come on did you hear that maniacal laugh? People were not even a factor when he planned to launch the missiles. All he cares about is meeting with Samantha in Argatha. And now that I think about it, Maxis contacted the O4 after Richtofen and Sam switched bodies. I wonder if it was Maxis and Samantha's plan all along to escape to Argatha together, willing to sacrifice everyone else. Perhaps prior to the body switching Maxis and Samantha planned on opening the rift. Clearly Maxis has had it planned for a while, perhaps even prior to getting turned ethereal by Sam. So when the missiles launched I assume Sam was able to get into Argatha using whatever crazy powers or knowledge she gained from the Aether, but Maxis not having the Aether's power/knowledge needed to gain the power of the Aether so he could fully open the rift and reach Argatha.

On another note, there is so much new story stuff to think about on the Maxis side. I'm extremely disappointed in the Richtofen side, all it is is Richtofen winning. Surely they could have thought of something more, expand on the voices in Richtofen's head, have them take control, something. Very disappointing that we can sit and formulate theories about the Maxis side but the Richtofen side lies barren of any real story progress.
