@madgaz182 So it looks like you really were onto something after all there Gaz. My friend @jaysta5792 has managed to also get a Yellow light to appear on the control panel beside PaP! O.O

He has took a few screeshots of them also and I am seriously doubting this is just a graphical glitch now. Guess some of the people who doubted you or accused you of using photoshop and software to manipulate the colouring in the video owe you an apology.

    What could it mean though?

I already explained to someone who managed to get yellow lights on the control panel by the mainframe and PaP what could've caused the lighting to be that way.

Did you do the perk-a-cola easter egg on a high round? You can get some interesting glitches during high rounds including colours in game shifting to slightly different colours. The fact that the green lights on the mainframe control panel supposedly turned yellow isn't actually too strange. However, if they were to change to blue, that would be weird and definitely worth the investigation, in my opinion.

Here is a long-ish explanation to explain why I think this change isn't really significant. Again, this is my opinion.

Alright, so basically, there's something called RGB colour space or RGB colour system which constructs all of the colours from a combination of Red, Green and Blue. Remember your colour chart in school? You had primary colours which could make secondary colours and blah blah blah... No one cares.

Anyway, the colour yellow comes from a combination of red and green which, as far as we know, are the only colours the mainframe control panel uses. My point is, there could have been an issue where the lighting on the control panel got a little glitched, and the transition from red lights to green lights didn't go so smoothly because of the glitch. So the lighting gets stuck between red and green, the result is yellow.

So why would blue be a strange colour for the lights on the mainframe control panel to switch to? Because blue is a primary colour which can't be constructed by any other colour but itself and, as far as we know, the control panel only uses red and green colours. So if blue shows up, there is a chance it was triggered by something else other than the perk-a-cola easter egg which perhaps needs looking in to.

I hope this helped. I'm not saying that your findings are insignificant because I may be wrong and anything is possible, I'm just proposing another logical explanation so that people don't mistake glitches for easter eggs.

So what did u find out?

Alright, so I couldn't find a way to upgrade the Annihilator, so most of the things on the list are ruled out as possible things to try.

I shot all significant objects I could see with standard Annihilator and upgraded KN-44 with multiple effects including Thunder Wall. Unfortunately nothing. I even tried to shoot rockets at them, to no avail.

Every game I had, Deadshot spawned instead of Staminup, so I got fed up in the end. I also couldn't get the Ray Gun, Wunderwaffe and Monkey bombs at one time, so I'll have to have to try it some other time.

Maybe you'll have a luckier shot at trying your ideas, then you can post what you find too.

  3. I found something interesting in the comments section of LiamFTWinter's video discussion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLpgMC_ur30) about possible new maps, including that ice cave place.

Here is the comment (Commenter's channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuGapQYlnBFupHeaVvpedUg)

    Quote

Well according to wikipedia "R'lyeh is a sunken city in the South Pacific and the prison of the entity called Cthulhu." R'lyeh is the name of the "fictional lost city that first appeared in the H. P. Lovecraft short story 'The Call of Cthulhu'."

Richtofen's secret note's bottom right coordinate leads to the island of Pohnpei. Lovecraft took inspiration from "Nan Madol" a ruined city of the shore of Pohnpei and used it to create R'lyeh in his story. This all makes sense since obviously Cthulhu plays a huge role in SOE AND one of "The Giant" secret messages states "In the cell below the waves is where honor suffers."

Wiki says Cthulhu is in-prisoned in this sunken city so the secret message directly relates. I'd bet this is definitely a location for a future dlc map.

I added paragraphs to make it less of a chore to read.

  4. I think "Betty" is the term the characters use to describe the trip mines that we can get in zombies. If I'm wrong, I don't know who Betty is. All I know is, when I was playing as Dempsey, he said out of nowhere: "Aw, thanks Betty!" I later realised that the trip mine I'd placed had killed a zombie.

  5. I know the map I'm about to mention is not in the 'Black Ops' franchise, but I miss it so much.

    Rust

Could you imagine the chaos with people boost jumping everywhere (or whatever it's called) on such a tiny map? I think it would be ridiculously funny and enjoyable.

To be honest, Rust has to be my most favorable map in all of Call of Duty games ever. There's just something so great about it, especially everybody fighting over that one spot up the top of the ladders. Oh, the good old days.

I'm guessing no one will be interested that last night when I did the perk-a-cola Easter egg on the Giant map al the lights on the mainframe control panel went yellow one by one instead of green. We got Richthofen to use the monkey bombs in the teleporters. Is this every time now or still a little odd?

I had heard someone on Reddit say that IowaGamingHD had agreed to release footage tomorrow.  Though that may have been a lie, it especially now seems like no such footage will be coming out.

Enough time to edit the footage? I'd be on guard, it's so easy to be fooled by pictures and such, I'd rather try it for myself to see if I can get repeatable results.

NOTE: He said he only saw this change in theater mode, which is a bit odd, but it could be that there's simply a specific order or something.

The point being: Something activated one of the lights. We think it's the KN44 upgraded and pointed at clocks:

    1 in the labs

1 above the center of the map

1 in the hidden room to the left of the big clock.

1 in another room that IDK about.

If it is only the KN-44 that allows you to do this, wouldn't that be interesting because that is the weapon which appears to be inside the summoning key on that image signed by Dr. Monty. Like... the KN-44 is a part of the key that allows you to progress through the EE?

I think this connects to montys note that maybe the summoning key is a weapon of some sort due to the krm44 being inside it and it connecting to other dimensions however that is speculation

Maybe it summons new universes, it can lock and unlock them or something. It may even have the ability to destroy universes if it's some kind of weapon.

Actually, I was exploring Shi no Numa the other day and saw that text on the wall which reads: "THE POWER WILL DESTROY US ALL". When I saw that, something interesting came to mind concerning the summoning key. We seem to think that the summoning key is some 'all-powerful' artifact. If that is true, maybe the text on the wall is talking about the summoning key which will destroy universes, thus destroying the people within them.

I don't know, just a thought, nothing more than my opinion.

  10. David would be pretty old by now. Another Mason would be kind of boring as well and unrealistic. Especially since we are getting four player co-op.

Oh my, xD. That makes me feel like Richtofen, Takeo, Dempsey and Nikolai from the zombies game mode will time travel to the future and be our main characters for the BO III campaign.

Don't worry, I'm kidding. And I'm terribly sorry for practically bumping an old thread.

  11. Wow, great observation! I never thought to go check out the differences and I'm glad someone did it. About what you said here... "I think a lot has happened between Origins and the Giant that they are going to make quotes about." I agree.

I think they may have been even further in time before going to The Giant/Der Riese because of what Nikolai says in the trailer. Nikolai says, "Only a fool would dare to change history." So he certainly seems to have some notion about the future, whether he's been there or not.

I have a sneaking suspicion that it took a few tries for the whole group to get to the right place at the right time, but that's just what I think.

  12. IMAGES ARE IN SPOILER TAGS

The guy shooting the zombies in this picture is PETER McCAIN NOT TANK DEMPSEY. Peter McCain is the man hanging in the spawn of Shi No Numa.

It's a beautiful post, OP, and I agree with a lot of what you state but I'm going to have to disagree just a little bit here. I agree that Peter McCain is the guy hanging, sure. However, based on what the characters are wearing and what they look like, I disagree that Peter McCain is the guy shooting zombies in the third panel.

    Peter McCain corpse WaWTank.jpg

If the image placement worked out the way I'd intended, Peter McCain should be on the left, and Tank Dempsey on the right. Notice their appearance compared to the comic book versions. Unfortunately, we have no Peter McCain in the comic book that we can compare to the game's model of him, but I think it is quite obvious that the guy shooting the zombies at Shi No Numa is Tank Dempsey. The comic book version has blond hair, the game's model of Tank Dempsey has blond hair. Peter McCain on the other hand, has brown hair (or he has blond hair, but it may look brown because of the image being so dark).

    File:Kino Der toten Loading Screen.jpg

The comic slide itself suggests that Tank Dempsey is the guy shooting the zombies at Shi No Numa. If you look at the Der Riese panel, you see the comic book version of Tank Dempsey standing with the other three characters in the teleporter (fourth panel). That guy looks exactly like the guy on the third panel. This leads one to suggest that Tank Dempsey is in fact the guy in the third panel, shooting zombies at Shi No Numa.

Remember, this is just my opinion (theory) but I think it makes more sense that the guy in the third panel is Tank Dempsey based on what I've presented in this post.

  13. We all know that marlton was in that shelter on nuketown well how did marlton survive in that shelter about 80 (moon and nuketown are in the 60s) yearsuntil 2025 where tranzit is

    Illuminati confirmed.

EDIT: Or just time travel... confirmed.

  14. I'm sorry if this has been addressed before and I may even be late to the party, but I was playing 'Green Run, TranZit' and found something very interesting. I think there is more to the TranZit characters than we thought (particularly Marlton). I'm sure you're all aware of the easter egg, where you find 'Nacht Der Untoten' in the map. Did anyone ever pay any attention to what the characters say when they find it?

I was playing as Marlton and when I went to 'Nacht Der Untoten', this is what he said: "This is a place I don't want to remember." The fact that he says he doesn't want to remember this place, means he's been there before, right?

I guess my question is: do you think this has anything to do with Marlton's history or the zombies storyline, or does it just trigger the person playing to remember the classic map from WaW?

  15. I'm very skeptical about Samantha being the one that caused us going back to Origins.

Samantha lost her power when she was kicked out of Aether. Remember the last time we saw Samantha, she was trapped in a physical body unable to do anything about it. If Samantha still had her power, she would have been able to escape Agartha.

It's much more likely that Maxis was the one that brought us back to Origins after gaining the power to do so at the end of Buried.

I understand where you're coming from, and I think Maxis causing them to go back to Origins makes much more sense now that you've mentioned it, because BO3 zombies could be Maxis' "Ultimate Plan". After all, the older Richtofen ended up dead according to "The Giant" trailer, which is exactly what Maxis wanted after realizing that Richtofen had betrayed him. Therefore, Maxis' "Ultimate Plan" is working (if this theory is correct). Origins could be the first step of Maxis' "Ultimate Plan".

However, I still think Samantha has enough power to send the characters back to Origins because of what she says when you complete the easter egg for that map. "As the gates to Agartha opened, the four heroes were rewarded with riches beyond their imaginations." So supposedly, she had the power to give them such rewards (whatever they were). One could argue that: 'She was only given the power to reward them once she was freed from Agartha', or that 'She didn't directly say that she was going to reward them, maybe Maxis rewarded them instead of her.'

Honestly, I have no idea, but I like your theory. Oh, and just for the record, the final thing said in Origins, in the final cutscene was: "My dad says he has a plan." So now my guess is that we get to enact Maxis' plan in BO3 zombies.

  16. Just realized you were new! Welcome! And hey, I really shot you down fast on your first post, so I'm sorry! And hope I didn't discourage you! But we've had good talks since, and look forward to more!

Don't worry about it, I'd rather stand corrected on some things before going too far into some discussions without a clue.

  17. @Korima

Oh that's right, I'm getting all my timelines mixed up now. That theory means there is a mighty big paradox going on right there, but it sounds like a possibility. It is obvious that the Origins characters seem to know something of what's going on, especially when they get to "The Giant", I really hope playing the map itself will secure some of the theories everyone has.

The thing is, if MOTD and Origins are in the same universe, and the comic that Dempsey saw was Weasel's, that means Origins Dempsey must have been in the future at some point to see it, assuming the comic was written after 1918. But because of not being able to remember much, he doesn't really know.

  18. @Korima

Oh yeah, that makes sense, because Eddie complained about not having his turn (not having a major role in the game). Could it be possible then for MOTD and Origins to be in the same universe if red is the original eye color? I only wonder because there's been a bit of controversy over this quote by Dempsey in Origins, "This looks familiar. I think I saw it in a comic book somewhere." This is what Dempsey says when taking the ray gun from the mystery box.

The connection people want to make with this quote is Weasel's comic book. Weasel is a character from MOTD, he created a comic book and drew the ray gun. Many people seem to think that Dempsey has seen Weasel's comic book, which means Weasel's comic book is in the same universe as Origins, which ultimately puts Weasel and MOTD in the same universe as Origins too.

I don't know what to think of this personally, I kind of want to stay away from that theory because it just complicates things even more. This would however, solve the idea of what the zombie eye color was originally, if MOTD was before anything else.

It honestly depends on which comic Dempsey is talking about though, it could be anything. Many comics in the real world that are based in space have a gun resembling the ray gun, it just appears to be the ideal space weapon. So it could be any comic book, not necessarily Weasel's comic book.

  19. Wow, awesome post OP! I have a headache now, but I love this 'third cycle' idea. Could it be possible that the default color for the zombies' eyes are blue in origins? Samantha did say, "I'm going to tell you how all this really began." (paraphrasing). I don't know, but maybe it all began with blue eyes.

However, as much as I like this theory as a whole, NaBrZHunter is correct by what he states in his post.
