  1. @ JuggerWicho.

Did you have to "Power" it up (the Hell's Retriever) by holding the left bumper first or were you just throwing it? I wonder if that makes a difference if killing them that way?

  2. So many things going on in this map & many are tieing together.

A strange link is the date on the Loading Screen - '26th February 1932'. Johnny Cash was born on this day. I thought that the secret song was going to be his song "Falsom Prison Blues".

Weasels quote about Rusty Cage being familiar is a strange one. The storyline leaves us asking more questions but is slowly coming together.

  3. Great starting tips. Thanks for sharing BSZombie & Chopper.

I actually did pretty much what you two have posted & before I even read this!

Opening the laundry & collecting the sheet on round 1 is such a winner. I didn't realise that a whole hoard spawn when you go down there. Line the train up, shoot with the pistol = shiteloads of points. I wish I had of thought about getting the double points first.

    Then I -

    - Feed the Dog in the Cellblock, active the gondola & Lectric Cherry

    - Go feed the dog near the roof, get plane piece & open roof.

    - Ride the gondola, open gate & get dock plane piece & Jugg, get plane piece.

    - Get Jugg & Feed dog at docks, activate the generator thing (for wardens office)

    - Activate numbers & Double Tap. Get Tomahawk & Double tap. Get 2 Skulls at Docks.

    - Go to Wardens office & get plane piece, Speed Cola & Skull.

    - Get Skull near spawn & skull on roof, build Acid kit & get Blundergat from wardens office.

    - Upgrade Blundergat & Fly away happily ever after.

I got the Ray Gun early on from the box so I went to the bridge at round 8 or 9. I Trained on the GG bridge till Round 27, no downs, Ray Gun & Blundergat. I then got stuck on a wall, zombies kept attacking me after I fired the Acidgat, Electric Cherry didn't do s**t. 5 Boss' at once for 12 rounds can get frustrating with the screen shakes, but Ray Gun is good until your getting low in ammo. Lost concentration for a second & ended up with 4 downs in quick succession with heaps of ammo to spare.

I haven't played MotD very much so I'm glad that what I did was pretty much a good starting strategy. Im pretty s**t at BO2 so I'm stoked with this solo Run.

    Thanks again for the tips.

  4. Absolute BRAINS Mr Titan.

That was complicated yet I think I understand your concept. My head is hurting.

Your point about 115 not being in WW2 got me thinking that if we have to stop Group 935 (and everyone else that had 115) do we somehow stop a younger Maxis or Richtofen from choosing the path that we are told in the previous games?

Or do we stop Samantha from ever being involved in this scenario?

This idea of stopping Element 115 from being used in World War 2 made me realise; How do we stop it?

We blow the F**k out of the meteor that landed in Tunguska in 1908 with the towers that we have powered. We may be using future "Star Wars" technology (Particle Beams & Gamma Ray concepts) to destroy an event that happened over 100 years ago in the future.

We are "Back tracing across the Future"

Tesla's Wardenclyffe tower was thought to be the cause of the Tunguska event. Are we using his future technology to actually stop this event from occurring????

  5. Argh you post some great topics Blitz. I love reading them. And it creates a great discussion.

I haven't played this map very much & haven't looked into what's going on too much, though I have read some interesting stuff here & listened to the audio for the side quest. I haven't even had time to have a look in theatre mode yet.

Anyway, here is something I posted before the game came out. Just an observatioon after one of MixMasterNuts posts. I'm not to sure if it's relevant or just my perception.

I only just noticed this looking back at my post. Can you see the similarities from the Nuketown bubblegum wrapper & the new perk "Electric Cherry"

    - Both cost 5c

    - The colours are the same

    - The Skull inside the Perk Machine resembles 'Mictlantecuhtli'

  6. Thats some pretty good Solo starting tips there Mr BSZombie.

Using your afterlife tokens in each round is critical to getting set-up. Be it solo or Co-op. each player should be activating things in every round.

Very well written & thanks for sharing. Well done & keep it up.

  7. Well this must confirm the date.

However, few were as audacious as the one undertaken by four inmates, on New Years Eve, 1933.

Who know's if it is still 1933, but when we play there it is December 31 from evidence of the fireworks you see going off in San Francisco.

It is also said in various history that the Prisoners in Cellblock D could hear the crowds celebrating on New Years Eve as the Cell Block faced the bay & the wind blew directly towards them carry the sounds of laughter & happiness.

The Prisoners there get punished by the cold winds that blew in from the bay & get punished by hearing laughter & happiness on New Years Eve while they are in solitary confinement.

Just thought that was interesting too.

  8. The symbols I'm talking about are just like the one that shows you where your 'downed' character is in afterlife, except, these appear (up to 4 of them) whilst alive. The icon just hovers (like you see in afterlife) above the ground in random spots that are all within the map.

    (sorry, hard to explain)

  9. We all knew 3arc took a lot of inspiration from Indiana Jones, this pretty much confirms it.

    Nuketown

    http://community.activision.com/community/call_of_duty_xp_blog/blog/2011/09/03/treyarch-reveals-the-black-ops-multiplayer-you-never-saw

Nuketown wasn’t built in a day.

Actually, it was built in two. Nuketown was a happy accident and was never officially planned. According to Dan Bunting, Vahn saw Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull one night and came in the next day saying “We need to do a map like this!” So the team looked at old nuclear test footage -- “we watched movies of towers been blown to smithereens and it was really inspiring.”

  10. I found this while looking through my old World at War intel. Seems relevant.

Weapon Focus - Thompson Sub-Machine Gun

Inspired by the unique trench warfare that dominated World War I, General John T. Thompson set out to invent a one-man, hand-held machine gun designed to stand up in a new era of war. His dream was finally realized in 1919 with the release of the Thompson submachine gun.

Arguably the first submachine gun to ever be massed-produced, the Thompson became wildly popular during America’s prohibition age and was a favorite among Depression-era gangsters. Its use became iconic in both Hollywood and the real world, including the bloody Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre in Chicago. However, it would not be until World War II that the Thompson would be used as John T. Thompson originally envisioned.

Designed as a means to quickly eliminate enemy soldiers hiding in the trenches, the gun proved so effective as to be dubbed the “Trench Broom” and “Trench Sweeper.” Its compact size as well as its large .45 ACP cartridges and high automatic rate of fire made it a favorite among soldiers on the frontline. The US adopted the Thompson into its arsenal for WWII and continued its use into the early stages of the Vietnam War.

    Tips for the Thompson

    • The Thompson is a great gun for clearing buildings and tight corridors. Utilize its low recoil and shoot from the hip to neutralize enemies within a short range.

    • Combined with the Drum Magazine attachment, soldiers can hold tightly onto the trigger without the worry of running empty. For those unconcerned with lasting power, equip the Double Tap perk for an incredibly rapid and lethal delivery.

    • The Thompson can be a huge upgrade from the pistol or any of the available rifles during Zombie matches due to its rapid fire. Acquire it as quickly as possible to aid in racking up points until you can purchase more powerful weaponry available in the later rounds of the match.

  11. Here is the list of time zones as follows:

    Time Zone Time (DLC drop)
    Australia/Sydney Brisbane 8:00pm

    Fixed your chart Mr Lithium

And let's hope they have fixed the bug where the only way to download Die Rise was through the multiplayer menu.

  12. An isn't it ironic.

Benn posted a video of the Great Leap Forward secret radio on Kino a year beforehand & didn't realise what Die Rise was going to be about.

Also, he can't really take credit for 'predicting' everything in Motd if he's getting info spoon feed to him by someone on the inside, but so many people don't realise this.
