Okay, lets get this out in the open. I don't think The Giant is going to be a remake. I think it's going to be a fully re imagined, totally expanded and blown up map. I think we still see the areas we've grown accustomed to, however I think that we will have far more access to those places that you should have been able to go to in the first release. 

The biggest deterring factor for me thinking this isn't just a remake, is that the last time Treyarch gave us classic maps, it was just that. MAPS. They gave us the entire WaW collection with the collectors editions, not just one map remade. Also the name change, of them actually calling it The Giant. None of the maps were renamed when we got them in Black Ops. This collectors edition is MADE for us, the zombie diehards. I don't think Treyarch would let us down with the map. I'm fairly certain we will get more info regarding the map today, but I have a feeling that we are going to get a experience that will blow us away. 

I'd like to see the stigma of it being a "remake" die quickly.

I don't think it's a remake, I think they're completely re imagining the map. The last time we got remakes, they all came together. This one is stand alone. I think the map is going to be huge.

Can we stop calling it a remake? I think it's gunna be MUCH bugger than just a remake.

The leak on the collectors edition doesn't move the needle for you?

They changed the name completely. It's always been a focal point of everything, Where it all started. I think we see a completely remade map that's MASSIVE. They renamed it "The Giant".... Last time it was released, it came with other maps and was still called DR. 


I reckon we're in for a treat.

I've got a buddy who will be at ComicCon that is going to try and get into the reveal and he WILL periscope it if he gets in.

Will also be auctioning off any swag he gets on Ebay sooo there's that :p.

No other team will do what OpTiC does. It's not just the players, it's the quality of content, their social media presence. They're fanboys, nobody else will "get those viewers". OpTiC is popular because they're OpTiC. They were a strong presence in CoD4, WaW. Before the "boom" And before Social media made it easy to get popular.  I guarantee you no Clan is ever what Op is. 

LeBron didn't win the MVP this year, but he's still the best player in the world. 

It doesn't matter, like I said CoD is slowly going down the drain.

Except when you pull out OpTiC alone you're talking about hundreds of thousands of viewers....

​CoD championships are so far beyond MLG now. Treyarch has their own competitive system built in that their titles' that determines everything. 

You sit here and say MLG is bad for Duty but without MLG Duty wouldn't be where it is today. You have no idea how big the competitive community is to the franchise. The fucking X-Games made it an event for christs sake. Nobody in CoD championships does trick shots or any of that stuff. You're living in the past. Treyarch embraced the hell out of the community, Vahn calls himself good friends with a lot of pros, then Acti alienates it. With none of the big name teams in championships, it will create a smaller competitive fan base and this franchise will continue to sink, as it has. Sales will continue to drop. 

Writing is on the walls. 

1. This is the single most load of rubbish I've ever read on these forums. Parents shell out 120 dollars a year for A GAME when you factor in DLC. If the brats want a PS4, they will get it. 

2. This will kill the biggest thing CoD has going for it right now, which is pro competitive play. How many of those elite teams you see at the X-Games and the world championships will switch to PS4? All the big names? They're going to lose a majority of their viewership thanks to this. Spoke to a few of my friends who're on the pro circuit that said their team would withdraw completely if it switched to PS4. Can't imagine a world where CoD has PS4 branding all over it and they allow the championships to be played on Xbox.

​I don't think that Duty is showing today. 

I think this all but confirms that they won't be showing at any conferences today.

Which would all but confirm that #DLCequality is even more in effect.

Telling part is them saying that E3 begins tomorrow. Kinda inferring that Duty will be quiet today, meaning they won't be showing at Sony or MS conference. Of course they could still show up but this says enough IMO.
