Hey great thread here MMX & everyone , I'm getting some good reading here . Anyone have a picture of the figurine way off to the side that the dog knocks over ? Is he the *nod to (for example) the faceless or shadowy figure in most of the cut-scenes ?

Anybody seen the American TV show fringe ? The Watchers were an evolved race of humans from the future earth that observed key events in history and eventually wound up intervening in the matters of the past to ensure the future they knew remained intact .

They even had one episode where a physicist lost something dear to him , and he turned his body into flesh and machine and was able to move himself through time . Some of the details are fuzzy to me but I wouldn't put it past treyarch to use some of those fringe elements in their game .

Again I just wanted to spotlight if not for just a second, the unknown figurine in the room the rest is spit ballin thanks !

Great ideas, unfortunately ive freeze framed and that figure that gets knocked over is actually the moon astronaut zombie, that was why i can up with the idea of Samantha holding tank Dempsey, as i thought it was him who was knocked over originally

Why is no one else connecting the ciphers to the ending cinematic? Edward Richtofen was a teenager genius adopted by Ludwig Maxis after the former's parents died. They worked together investigating Divinium. Edward, however, was cooperating with Group 935 to build weapons against the Allies. Does anyone not see this as strikingly relevant?

FINALLY!!!!!! Someone who actually looking at all the facts,ive said it since the origin of all these theory's and il say it again. the imagination / god complex / simple game theories are NOT consistant enough

Treyarch did leave links in to the other maps, that IS consistant!!! If they left out of the ciphers say... Group 935, the ALLIES and the only tinier details then i could readily except those theories.

The fact is they DID included them, What in Argatha would be the point including those key points IF it was just a game? Why included them at all? Ive long suspected family ties between Maxis, Richtofen and Samantha thanks to clues in all previous maps

This is not to say that Origins is Samantha telling the STORY of origins (and origins only) through the medium of a game between her and her "uncle" Eddie. That much i do believe to be real (because she mentions her dad has a plan), at least in the sense Her father Maxis found Element 115 then, the rest is dramatised for our benefit

what about Weezle from MotD with the quote "Nikoli, Nikoli, Nikoli, why do I keep hearing that name!" could this be because when the cycle was broken weezle who had broken the cycle left Pergitory to become the Avigadro in Tranzit and place items through the timelines to assist our groups to where they needed to be...

(only putting this out there the afterlife mode is alot like the avigadro)

This is a way that he could link his paradox back to this timeline to try and stop his own torment as the Avigadro.

My only thing i can really say is things are carried through the aether, we "teleport" through the aether, is it possible that the Aether tunnels intersect? Something linked to the Kassimir effect i posted so so long ago.

What about Gersh? He was trapped in Argatha with samantha.

Or is it really the Aether, purgatory, the world between worlds that threads the universes and dimensions together?

Maybe Gersh was freed and he went to Argatha, the same as Brock in shangri la was trying to do?

Richtofen when taking control of the zombies specifically mentions the AETHER, mention of Argartha at all

Ok ok ok im going to just throw this out there with Mob of the poop a d its a crazy idea but quite plausible in the grand scheme of weirdness.

For the start i want to explain my theory on mob of the Dead.

All 4 inmates are waiting to be killed by Electric chair (hence the electric chairs in the game right?)

Well what if the electric used to kill the inmates on the Real electric chair was powered by element 115? and instead of bringing something through to "our world" it sent them through to purgatory, i mirror image of the real world with slight differences.being powered somehow by element 115 means they did die but their souls remained

This could explain why you are in a loop, this would explain why you can never escape. Given all the new info from origins im starting to look at all previous maps differently.

Anyway back to the zombie blood, as the inmates are technically dead stuck in Purgatory (or trapped in the Aether) the blood vials could be sent through time as a way to help other people, as a sign of some kind.

In the intro the Soldier Templars have blue/purple ish eyes as we know, however in game UNLESS they are getting hit their eyes are actually the blue eyes we know from when Richtofen is in charge of them.

The kicker here though is the Power Templars HAVE the purple ish eyes mentioned above

I must say, although i strongly disagree with the current consensus that Zombies has all be a game/ manipulation/ imagination from Samantha and Eddie, it is a good theory, i want to say that upfront as this is not about who's theory is correct or not.

Rather a question about the above theories instead as i would like to hear what people's thoughts are on the matter.

Ok for a start the imagination theory as i like to call it that everyone seems as the most likely theory has a loop hole.

Say i agree with the whole imagination AND that the end is actually fact and not based of theories like mine and it IS Samantha's turn (due to W@W characters being used) AND the fact Samamntha says it will be HIS turn tomorrow.....

Then explain to me why the Templar knights eyes at blue yet the normal zombies eyes are not? This contradicts Eddie saying the zombies eyes should be blue AFTER origins is finished.

I agree with all of you, unfortunately the early WAW zombies, I have never heard of Eddie character in any radios. In fact, the reason Maxis bought a dog, was that she would have someone to play with, because she was alone. I never heard anything about Eddie. So i am confused. It seems that Treyarch never thought that zombies would come this far and they try to add someone to the ending, so that zombies will continue on next black ops or whatever they come up with.

Eddy and Eddie are written on both Verruckt and Der Riese, couple this with quotes throught the following maps staring that Richtofen and Samantha were close (so close he made her toys and dolls, like the TEDDY and the Monkey Bomb that originally wasn't a bomb)

also the huge bomb shell that possible family relation between Samantha and Richtofen helps this for the simple fact that Maxis via a radio transmission Brought Edward into group 935 to work along side him (Despite being a tad young) this could be the whole reason for Samantha getting a dog as Richtofen was too busy working with Maxis now to spend all his time with her.

PINNAZ called it on Aug 13th and I quote:

In response to a message I sent him regarding Origins' Origins. It's strange how some things are in such plain sight yet the simple symbolism is lost on many of us.

If someone does no clip under the map or use the Theater view/free roam glitch to try to find this other giant's name, remember, when you are teleported inside the robot's "Heads" you are technically being teleported underground, underneath the map, as evidenced when someone goes down inside one of these heads, their Revive icon indicates their position to be underground.

Anyways just wanted to call out PINNAZ on either being a time travelling Jon Titor (sp?) who's come back in time and has been revealing the future to us, or else give props (again) for seeing things for what they are, and opening eyes and minds.

Also sorry for not replying to your msgs, I got them just after I left town, to work, and well, Origins since I returned I would've replied if I had my laptop but Touchscreens and typing don't mix for this gringo.

I could believe in MMX theory and everyone else's about how its a game, in fact if it was true it wouldn't be a new idea, Someone said in BlackOps one on a rival zombies site that This could all be in Samantha's head years ago.

However the quote above and a few others contradict everything these kind of theory's stand for, For instance Samantha didnt erase anything, the characters were left on Moon, bodies switch and their fate not yet known. Origins IS a Beginning, it says so countless times in references and directly at us the player.

Otherwise why call it origins, might aswell call it grand finale, screw you community or HaHaHaHa we rolled you good

Im providing an extremely valid alternate theory to yours that is backed by well over 10 maps worth of information that some of it you claim to know nothing about, things that have always been there and been giving us clues all along, clues that have ALWAYS been consistant.

Have you missed every map before Tranzit/Green run? Evil doesn't come into it, He is being a father and protecting his daughter and would do anything including sacrificing his own life for her, as a father i can fully understand that.

He apologises to Samantha for not knowing what was going on and he DOES have a bloody reason because RICHTOFEN locked Maxis and Samantha in a teleporter with a hellhound and left them to die, I'd say that is cause for revenge wouldn't it

Yes there are souls, however I like to remind you of the radio transcript of Richtofen experimenting on Takeo, Nikolai and Tank, instead if turning into zombies after coming into contact with Element 115, they had something different happen to them and as a result lost their memories.

So who else has come into contact with element 115

Maxis - not dead but as an electric current

Richtofen - not dead - controls Argatha now

Samantha - Not dead, switched places with Richtofen

Tank - Didn't Turn into a zombie like everyone else

Nikolai - as above

Takeo - as above (but slowly remembering)

Gersh - worked with element 115 to create a multi dimensional teleporting device (The Gersh device)

Yuri - working with Gersh and Element 115 Yuri soon starts to hear a demonic voice telling him what to do

Brock and Gary- while hunting for Mewtwo find themselves in the new region of Shangri la, and get caught in a everlasting time loop. THAT time loop isn't infinite and can be changed As the Easter egg steps get further on

I personally found MOONs easter far less annoying than Buried, And The Very first Easter egg EVER was Shooting something so its not about simplicity, its the fact that its over the top now (yes i know the story is morphed taking real world events etc etc)

Secondly Zombies was So popular that Treayrch incorporated Parts of the campaign to tie in with the zombie story.

It still is so popular that it still gets its own seperate trailer just for zombies, pretty big waste of money for something that doesn't make them much money in return

People Dismiss the fact that a new generation started playing zombies from only BLOPS 1/BLOPS 2 and this is where there is a divide between people's ideas and theories in Zombies.

PTG also falsified information claiming it to be from Treyarch, most of their "sources" came from taking the information from other people's ideas on the official cod forums.

Well no, he is basically saying the Cinematic is real, everything else well isn't.

I e come up with several other scenarios that are just as plausible but because of the ending, that is what it is being focused on.

I would like to remind members here back when Der Riese Trailer was different to the actual in game Der Riese, people spent months trying to UNLOCK Der Riese when in actual fact Treyarch heavily edited Der Riese before launch, taking away more playable areas than we actually go to play in.

Its easy to get swept away i. The moment and i do personally like MMx theory, but before we jump on the band wagon we need to make sure there is nothing we are missing, quotes, other radios, the Peices of code that havent even been decoded yet, hidden around the map in origins. All these things and more could change everything we think now.

so dont take it as people are bashing him, or people are acting bipolar, he has a theory, yes its good, but its not in key with Treyarchs usual mix of clues. If it was going to be left to Die, Moon would of been the obvious choice and the perfect ending, the earth is blown up, GG Maxis you win.

What happened to buried was exactly what happened. The story waas over at buried regardless of which sides ultimate ending you chose. Choose maxis, everyone dies, he's reunited with sam, richtofen becomes a zombie to walk the earth till he dies. He wouldnt do anything to or for the O4 because he didnt care about anyone but sam. Do richtofen and everyone dies, they'll just take longer to because they have more guns. If origins isn't a satisfying loophole free (or close enough) ending for you, you can always take one of the 2 scenarios I just gave and the incredibly time gapped space warped reality bent world ofcodzombies and disregard origins.

This is Treyarchs Zombies, The most indepth cryptic game this generation .

Yes they need to quit because they've cleaned up this story and given it a legitimate end, that could lead to another whole new story of codzombies. Please treyarch quit trying to give us an ending that rationalizes the current story and giving us more zombies.

You do realise that Zombies is Treyarchs biggest money maker right? It was so popular that Black Ops 1 re released w@w maps.

w@W and Black Ops two saw Treyarchs DLC outselling everything else on the marketplace, and even outselling most other games. You wouldn't give up something that is your saving grace would you.

You say the story needs to end? There is still so many unanswered questions that may or may not ever be answered, thats not to say i wont be happy if they stopped zombies.

I hate the new characters and i hate the over the top Easter eggs when it should be about figuring out the story.

Actually if you want to say about the MPD Vril route with Maxis then, Although the Theory is a good one, its flawed in a sense that Maxis was killed infront of it talking to Samantha correct?

Well also know from the Radios that any living souls when killed near it are converted to ENERGY (see where im going with this?) into Element 115 which in turns fully restores power to the pyramid and gives full control over to Samantha

It can also be debated with my own theory that Maxis wasnt murdered, but rather killed himself to give full control over to Samantha to exact his revenge (Hence why Goph is shouting out "NO!" AFTER the gunshot and not before

Maxis in turn then becomes pure electrical Energy and a me to traverse electrical currents, Thus my point about only hearing maxis from the machines

EDIT: having completed Origins now, there is something i noticed in the End sequence

Maxis is talking through a Radio, or intercom? (maybe because he is in the basement, who knows)

But again, its STILL communicating through electrical devices, Everything is there, linking it all, under Neath the cinematics it have all info we need

I have my own personal take on the ending to Origins and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in hearing it.

The theory- I personally believe the ending is a façade. Something that cannot be taken at face value. The Zombie Saga is not a game, but Samantha THINKS it is a game.

Simply put- the ending is a projection of Samantha’s consciousness in the Aether being manipulated and twisted by a malevolent external force. The entire cutscene takes place in the Aether in this false reality. Samantha believes her actions to be a part of a game, but they are really happening.

So what do you think? Should I pursue this theory?

Surely i cant be the only one who notices how he talks through microphones, tannoys and other electrical devices? Hell when you make the maxis drone he is speaking directly from that, an electrical drone.

That's overlooking the brain found in Origins. It's Maxis's brain.

A brain cannot speak though, it needs a medium, that medium is the electrical current.

In my opinion what i would consider this believable is

A refence to peter somehow in the video, or Samantha's mum / or Sophia maybe? Some secret message written in the Illuminati code used in W@W maps? A Nova Zombie from Kino, or even one of the Gknova canisters, but no

Physical items are ALL majority Black Ops 2 references, And a select few Black Ops 1 items, the rocket and the spaceman which may or may not actually be a mini version of the silver back gorilla from DoA

The items they picked for an Prequel story are all wrong from a story point of view

While you have proved over the day to make a good argument for your case about this is still a real event taking place and not all make believe but some sort of alternate deal has gotten increasingly more convincing, I'm still not convinced... Here's why: you claim there's not enough paraphernalia in the room that involves WAW references correct? If so then I would argue that because there are references of BO1 maps in the room then how did these get here exactly? These maps revolving stories couldn't exist without the WAW precursors, so in essence, them existing in this room also means WAW is included? Maybe treyarch just didn't want to include any models for these things possibly.

So maybe you would argue that everything past WAW maps were just a kids game and can't be considered as real events such as your WAW occurrences? I could see this, basically Sam and Eddie were in the WW2 era discussing how the story would continue and all of the BO maps would be considered "games" , ignoring all of the future information such as celebrities that were born in the 70s and that the dolls were made by Dr Maxis and given to Sam for her to reenact past events and make new events with Eddie (BO1 maps).

I don't know though, I am actually questioning this entire post right now lol please forgive and delusions as I and currently on 8mgs of Hydromorphone. One thing however that is pretty clear for me is that there is LESS inconsistencies with the "It was all just a game, whether to cope with their life or zombie apocalypse, or just simply wildly imaginative children" than the other theories I've come across, but that's just me lol.

It fits too well, it fits so well it could be the truth from the get go, its this reason alone i believe Treyarch have put the Ending as a distraction to the us over because from Verruckt onwards, absolutely nothing has ever been that simple in the Zombies story arc, theres things still we don't fully understand in previous maps, that is how cryptic Treyarch makes the game.

If it wasn't for how Treyarch has always been, and how Buried left the story hanging before the Rift was fully mended i too would quite happily believe your theory without a second thought. But as always there will always be something that doesn't fit right and keeps us guessing

You guys do know that just because Samantha called Richtofen "Uncle Eddy" in a quote, doesnt mean he is her uncle, right?

Samantha probably feels almost like a mother to the zombies, so when he takes control of the zombies from her, she still comforts them by saying "uncle" in a motherly fashion.

The zombies aren't really zombies, Maxis isn't really Samantha's father, infact the end sequence isn't really happening by that logic. Treyarch never do anything on a whim.

I have posted on another thread about the family connection between Richtofen maxis and Samantha and all the quotes coincide with my theory, infact if it wasnt for the qoutes Treyarch put in i could never have come up with it in the first place

Projection isn't new at all, Maxis in Kino Der Toten built the Aether Projectionist, And using the Difference Engine he is able to not only project and search through the Aether, He is also able to project through different realities Thanks to said Difference engine.

Also its speculation, Maxis "thinks" she is still in the Pyramid due to that is where she is when he gets shot (Radio proves this) And up until Richtofen takes over Samathas place in Moo , she was Still trapped in Argatha.

Maxis doesn't know that she is in Richtofens body, there is no direct contact between Maxis and Samantha, the only qoute Samantha says is "goodbye daddy, i love you" after maxis launches the nukes.

Maxis is trapped inside Element 115 electrical current as is why he can only contact through Electronically devices, he was on one of those nukes to earth, hence why he doesn't know Samantha is now in Richtofens body.

Even if Richtofen was to tell maxis, he would t believe him would he?

In origins Samantha is projected through the Aether to contact her father Maxis, however this is long before he has Samantha as you also noted. However here is the difference in what i believe.

This is when Samantha Either 1st gets teleported (the maxis, Samantha fluffy being trapped in a teleported by Richtofen) and we know in Moon, Maxis doesn't teleport straight to the Moon so it also is reasonable that Samantha doesn't go Straight to the Moon, rather gets projected back through time (hence still having in innocence but knowing about 115 while being at Der Riese with her Father and Richtofen)

The other Posibility is when she gets trapped in the Argatha Pyramid and gains control over the zombies. I say this becuase i believe that in Origins, neither Samantha or Richtofen have any control over the undead army.

at the end of Moon we know where Samantha Is, she is on the Moon with the original 4 in Richtofens body

Maxis in present day time does not know this and is why he is searching for Samantha, possibly due to the Original 4 travelling through the Aether to Argatha with Samantha as a way to escape From the Moon.

Richtofen must know Samantha is still alive because he is in control in Argatha and projecting through the Aether.

Buried confirms this.

Over all a solid theory though. Unless we can find a distinctive item or clue that suggests otherwise, this wont hold up to the obvious implications of the end cinematic
