  1. Well I just watched all the trailers and the intro video again, and solved the mystery. The Kravchenko model/scene was a placeholder for what happens to Sal in the intro video. Now it makes sense - the clip in the first Uprising trailer must have been from an early build where they hadn't finalized characters or didn't want to reveal them early on? Anyway I guess that solved this little question I had, oh well. I thought it would be cool to have a campaign tie-in somehow.
  2. If you watched the behind the scenes trailer where they talked about Mob of the Dead (can't remember if it is the first or second one), did anyone else catch that short clip where they are showing a character that looks suspiciously like Kravchenko from the campaign being mobbed by zombies in a jail cell? They went so far as to motion capture the entire sequence (from what the trailer shows) using real people to play the swarming zombies. From what I can tell, though, this doesn't exist anywhere. Was this removed, or was it a placeholder model for something they eventually changed in the intro video? Was it updated and the Kravchenko model replaced with one of our "heroes"? I haven't seen much discussion about this so I apologize if it has already been noticed and solved, but when I saw it in the trailer I was wondering why that character would be involved in this map at all. But I am starting to think it was just a placeholder that has no relevance to the actual mode or story. I kind of recall one of the characters in the intro being swarmed against a door like Kravchenko but I don't know if it was exactly the same shot.
  3. So I accidentally came across this nugget of information that I never really put any thought into before, but totally makes sense and may be common knowledge to some or most of you. When the guys move around the map all together in one group, they talk about everything to each other much more than when people are moving around individually or in smaller groups. It came across my attention when a guy I was in a game with was complaining about the characters because he said they never talked. I disagreed with him and said these guys were awesome because of the amount of dialogue they had. I then said they talk to each other all the time and realized that was what it was - in my very first game I had played, we all stuck together throughout the entire map because everything was brand new. The other guy said that in his game everyone split up. I'm sure a lot of you know that they talk more like this, but it was kind of a revelation to me when I realized it, and am enjoying it a lot more now when I can get in a game where everyone moves together. The characters really come alive in that case and it's not just throwaway comments about ammo or weapons, they're talking to and about each other. Such a cool little thing.

What's up everyone. Finally signed up for the boards after reading here for a while for some zombies discussion. I enjoy all the story talk and the tips for maps, as I love the zombies mode. Separately, I have also recently begun to stream my game playing online, and it coincided with the release of the Uprising map pack. I started my new stream by playing Mob of the Dead for the past three days, and it's been a lot of fun. With a few different groups, I've gotten through most of the achievements now and been having a blast learning the map. There's nothing quite like the release of a new Zombies map! Anyway if you'd like to stop by my stream the link is in my sig. Hope to see you around and maybe we can play games together. I plan on playing things other than Zombies too, including WoW.
