Challenges

Recommended Posts

So, apart from doing the normal playthough with a somewhat good setup for high rounds, I also enjoy going on any suicidal zombie mission.
It can be anything. From a first room challenge to a random perk match. Using certain guns, or whatever really....

I assume I'm not the only one who likes to play a game with a twist.
So, which ones are your favorites and how well did you do?

I tried the first room in Shadows of Evil a bunch of times, but I never made it past round 12.
I haven't tried Der Eisendrache yet, but I'm not sure if I want to use gumballs.
My attempt for the Train Only challenge with a 'Turned' Bootlegger ended way too fast, I think it was round 24 when I died.
Next time I hope to have Little Arnies though.
Knife only challenges are fun too, but I ran out of popshocks....

Try sheild jumping. In DE, the only way you can kill zombies after round 7 is with the sheild boost. You can recharge it in numerous places on the map.

I haven't done a challenge in a long time... I mostly like harder challenges and most definitely challenges that are not based on luck. The two box challenge can be anything from smr to wonder weapons so it's kinda stupid as it may be hard or may be no challenge at all. Something like no jugg or wall weapons only (doesn't really work in bo3 though :/) are simple yet brings a good challenge.

First room is also pretty fun, but in bo3 it works only if you don't use gobblegums or you use gobblegums that doesn't give you great advantage (for example Perkaholic, Wall Power etc..)

I'll give the shield game a go, it sounds fun.
Why round 7 though? Can't you craft it in round 4 or so?

The two box thing is always a surprise, it's only fun if you get crappy guns ;)
Not too fond of the no Jugg thing, i can die easily in round 1 anyway, hahaha.

It's about opening up the map and getting jug.

After all, the sheild I don't believe gives points.

Ahhhh, yeah, that can be a downside. I think you could get drops, therefore nukes, to get points?
And the pods and trams can give you blood money..
Will I be able to survive until I can afford Juggernog? Interesting challenge. I take it.

Role-playing one on Shadows of Evil is fun too, but I want to try it 4 player someday.
The trick is that everyone goes to the area that holds the character-specific ritual place.
So, for example, I played as Jessica, so I was only allowed to go to the Footlight District.
I got Speed Cola and died in round 11, lol.

It's a good idea though, but having Jugg makes the whole game turn round.
Maybe everyone that hasn't got Jugg in their district is allowed Widow's Wine?
Not really sure if that balances it well enough.

Well there's also the "ANYWHERE BUT HERE" challenge:

1-Get an anywhere but here GG.

2-Use it.

3-Where you end up, you are not allowed to move from that area.

4-You can use ABH again to get to another area but you can't physically walk from area to area.

Too bad you can't seem to spawn behind locked doors, in a closed off area.....
Still, it's a fun challenge to do.

You can buy a door to an area, you just can't walk through it.

I tried the first room on Der Eisendrache a handful of times, I can't seem to get past the Panzer.
I guess gubblegums are included, except the game gives you the BG_Cache error and the game breaks, lol.

I came up with this kind of idea for a challenge. Here are the steps:

1. Open up the whole map before getting on the power. Only allowed to buy wall weapons during this step. NO perks yet (If turning on the power is required to open some of the doors in the map they have to be opened before moving on to next step.)

2. Get 4 perks. Now you're free to buy box weapons too.

3. PAP or DPAP 2 box weapons

NOTES: Mega-gobblegums are not allowed. Buildables are allowed. Wonder weapons are not allowed.

Sounds like a normal game, hahaha.
Buying a gun off the wall is the first thing I would do.
Perks before Pack-a-Punch is my normal routine as well.
Gumballs and wonder weapons are a rarity, so that won't be a problem ;)

I think I'll change to challenge to box only weapons?
I think BO2 had better variety in the box though, like the warmachine or ballistic knifes and the mighty EMP grenade.

Yeah this is doesn't work quite well in BO3 since wall weapons are so good :P And at least ZNS is going to be hard to get the whole map open before getting jugg ;)

Shadows of Evil, no guns.
Allowed weapons:

Knife,
Bowie Knife.
Shield, both melee and boost.
The sword, upgraded if you please.
And little Arnies are allowed as well, since they punch stuff.

Here's something I just came up with

"The Black Ops 1 Challenge"

So this is meant to be played in Black Ops 3 maps (you can also play in BO2), and what this basically means is that every feature that was NOT in BO1 is not allowed. Since there might be confusion in some things I'm gonna list everything here:

-No gobblegums

-No buildables

-No specialist weapons

-No new perks (Double Tap 2.0 is also banned cause it's effect is so different)

-No double Pack-a-punch

-No plants (ZNS)

-No beast mode (SOE) (you can use beast mode to unlock pack-a-punch but not after that)

-Wonder weapons are a bit questionable since they are buildables but WW were also in BO1 so they're allowed I guess...

-No weapon kit modifications

-No challenge rewards (ZNS)

-No pods (SOE)

-No wunderfizz (DE)

-No tram fuse (DE)
