World At War Crashes After Installing Patches!

Recommended Posts

I just recently figured out that my W@W wasn't at the latest patch( it was at 1.1, I don't play MP). So I went to install the patches to get the new zombie maps. After i installed them all properly and in order I went to launch W@W and it came up with launch muiltiplayer or single/coop screen. Whichever one I choose it disappears like it will launch but it doesn't. W@W worked perfectly fine before this and this is the first time installing patches. This is also not uninstalling, I went to uninstall to see if it works but the bar doesn't move and it was on for 3 hours. I also have a disk version. Hope you can help.

There is a few known issues with World at War and Windows 64-bit Operating Systems. Try these out and see if any help...

1: Go to the following options...

-control panel
-sound device manager
-highlight "speakers"
-click "properties"
-On the "advanced" tab set "24 bit, 44100 Hz"

2: Go to...

-control panel/system/advanced system settings
-on the Performance tab click settings
-Go to Data Execution Prevention
-Click the tab "turn on dep for all programs except those i select"
-click add and find you games .exe file and add it.

3: Apply a modified nocd crack that will replace your own .exe file and will allow you to boot the game without requiring the disc. This is not an illegal operation as by owning the game it is your right to modify the .exe. This is another well known fix as some .exe files that came with the 1.7 update were known to have 64-bit issues. The nocd crack will not damage or alter your install or OS in any way as long as obtained from a verified site like megagames or gamecopyworld.

4: Another known solution is to start the game up and wait for around 4 minutes are a lot of people have reported that the game tends to hang for a while before firing up.

Try the above 4 methods first and if they still don't work I will help you get the game uninstalled
