Little Lost Girl Ending Glitch

So, I just finished the quest with a few friends and the portal to end the game and watch the cutscene never appeared.

Now earlier, when my friend killed the Baron using Zombie Blood, he wasn't able to pick up the Maxis Drone. Does anybody know why this could have happened?
