Origins DLC...Direct movie reference...?...

Alright after watching that video (its a snipet from a pretty epic scene in the movie "suckerpunch") someone please tell me that it doesn't look like Treyarch literally took an explicit reference from that movie for the setting and theme of the next zombie map...

Trench warfare, zepplins and aerial combat, giant usable mechs, steam punk zombies, and world war era'd theme...

Do you feel there's anything we can derive from this or is it simply an eerie exceptionally distinct reference to a movie that may or may not have been intentional...

And try to focus on the enviornment, not just the pretty faces haha :D

Haha it is an epic movie, but do you agree that it seems as though they directly referenced that movie...not remotley complaining, just curious if anyone else finds this a accurate resemblance as well...

Certainly, it's unmistakable. I noticed it right away.

So your saying that most movies, comics, games, and books that utilize diesel punk styles tend to incorporate it into a war esque scene with zombies, mechs, and the such...This being an honest question as I honestly dont know...

Its just hard for me to believe that a movie that could not be a more accurate depiction from top to bottom of what is in the next zombies dlc as simple coincidence...doesnt mean it has any relevance per say in regards to an easter egg of some sorts... just find it hard to downplay that both that movies scenes and this next dlc both utilize Nazi Zombies, World War 1 era, aerial combat, giant mechs, and diesel punk influence on all of the aforementioned...

They didn't directly reference this movie per se, just one of the interpretations of a dieselpunk art style.

Yes, some of this will (may) be featured in Origins, but a lot of it is just a typical "dieselpunk" style.

+1.

Suckerpunch may have just been one of the many influences on the map, as well movies like Hellboy and Iron Sky, and other games like the Bioshock series.

It's a great move on Treyarch's part to have a dieselpunk influence on the map. It's an explanation for all the advanced technology during WW1 we'll most likely see. Plus, it let's them get away with putting big ass robots in Zombies.

Yeah but hellboy, bioshock in no way had any scences that were remotley similar to the dlc, whereas suckerpunch literally looks as though it could be a direct movie interpretation, aside from the fact that it came first, of the origins map, S*** theres even a woman with a samurai sword (takeo and his samurai sword)

You cant honestly believe that that scene is just "kinda" close to the zombies dlc, as it looks like a direct adaptation of one another...

Yeah I agree with all this. Just typical dieselpunk elements taken from many movies and comics. Suckerpunch is just one of the better known most recent examples.
