Mob of the Dead Trailer Analysis! NOW WITH "MAKING OF" VIDEO

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, just saw the Uprising trailer, so it's time for Flammenwerfer to dissect it!

Here is the official trailer from COD.

Here's a video version of my findings.

The "Making Of" Video that aired after the CoD Championship. Xbox Exclusive.

The first image we see is a red eyed zombie. This zombie looks important, as it is most likely the warden of Alcatraz. Perhaps he'll be the new George-type enemy?

A tight prison cell corridor. Looks neat and tight.

Broadway? Sounds interesting...

Kinda looks like a new kind of buildable bench on the left.

Looks like mo-cap for a new cutscene. Doubt it'll be a gameplay mechanic.

Nice shot of Alcatraz from the waters. Notice the red beam protruding into the sky. New Mystery Box light?

A teddy bear in a small room. Flashed for a second in-between the previous two pictures.

Another shot of the prison. Notice red beam again.

New gun. Kind of looks like the PPSH, but not really. Others say it looks like a Tommy Gun, but we've seen the Thompson before and it doesn't look like that, even with the drum magazine.

Our new characters. Pretty interesting, I must say.

What in the world is that fiery thing? Fire bat? New type of Hellhound? Very interesting. Also note that we'll have the 2025 weapons again.

The Uzi is in zombies! Huh!

Dangit Flammen, you've just beaten me to this topic! Oh well, might as well as on.

My guess is this will be the next tower we power. They show this view of the map for a steady 5 seconds. Note the bodies hanging from it.

It appears to be the water tower from this image. Who will give the instructions this time?

Let's not leave out everything about our new cast!

Chazz Palminteri

Joe Pantoliano

Michael Madsen

The first Tommy gun to see military use was the Model 1928, used by the US navy during its expedition in Nicaragua.  Called the "Navy" model 1928, it was fitted with a heavier bolt to bring the rate of fire down to six hundred rounds per minute.

With the start of World War Two, the U.S Army procured a large number of these Navy Tommy Guns, and marked them as U.S Model 1928A1.

The British commando's, paratroopers and many infantry outfits were equipped with the Tommy Gun, and it was issued with several thirty round box magazines as the drum magazines were too bulky for an infantryman to a carry.

Below is the M1A1 Thompson submachine gun, with the cocking lever now situated on the right-hand side of the receiver.  This was the most popular model and was used extensively by the Marines, U.S Army and Commandos in World War Two.

Looks like the Zombie Riot Shield buildable will be back...

At the of the Call of Duty Championship they will be showing BTS of Mob of the Dead (go to 0:38 for message)

Could be the new buildable weapon on the bottom.

Very informative. Perhaps this is another movie like CotD? I have no idea.

From face value, I have to wonder who the heck that guy talking about it is and what this has to do with the story. But I remember we said the same thing when the CotD trailer released and it tied in mighty good. I believe they'll be fine.

Haha, and I was just sayin last night about the characters if this were real. I'd like my payment in bacon strips, please. ;)

Glad to see such intensive information already! We're transitioning into a new time period where we'll most likely uncover the secrets of zombies before our original storyline unfolded. I can't wait for this map - I'm getting excited just thinking about it!

There is a theme of hanging men here. It may just have been prisoners committing suicide during/after the zombie outbreak, or even something happening beforehand. The description about the new tower (thanks bagel!) is definitely of importance, but to what extent I do not know.

@JMDogg I know, I was about to make a thread on my iPhone, but this was up with 1 reply. It took me 15 minutes to make my reply uploading the images 1 by 1 on iPhone

@DJDerp We have a storm on this map, with similar looking skies, too! Maybe we'll see a similar way to PaP.

@Fated Thats the one I meant. I couldn't tell if it was a water tower or not. I've got bad eyes :)

Just after watching it once, between the setting, the zombies, the crew and even the name of the map, I'm pretty sure this classifies as Blops 2 version of Call of the Dead.

Looking more into it, I can see and tell there's going to be a lot of these "red-eyed zombies" theories. I for one, can say the red actually looks more "natural" or uncontrolled if you ask me. But that's just my take on it. But forget story and theories at the moment, we're going to freakin' Alcatraz! I immediately thought of prison as soon as that idea was presented before it was announced officially. And that room with the hanging corpses?

SCARE-FACTOR REINTRODUCED, BITCHES! :D
