Red Eyed Zombies

Recommended Posts

Great, now I don't have to report more "leaked" info threads.

So guys, I guess I'll start us off with a theory. The zombies on the promo picture have red eyes. What could this mean? Two (possible) explanations:

    1. The zombies aren't in control of anyone, or anything, and red is their normal eye colour. This suggests that the zombies were in this universe the whole time, and that Maxis did not create them, but rather simply tried to control them. This explains why people aren't as shocked to see zombies, like the CotD characters or the "Five" characters.

    2. Another force is controlling the zombies, separate from Sam or Richtofen. Possibly the voice that controls Richtofen, or even possibly Maxis.

So, what do you guys think? What will we see in Mob of the Dead in regards to these red eyed zombies?

i know for a fact that if it really is "prohibitioon era zombies" then it takes place before sam gets trapped. so I don't really have any explanation to why their eyes are red but all i know is that this is BEFORE same took control.

Yes, hence why I said that the zombies existed in their universe this whole time. However, another possible explanation could be time travel, if this information is to be believed. The information only stated that they were "prohibition era" gangsters, so it is entirely possible that they were sucked into a time vortex and sent to whatever time MotD is set in.

I still think they are been controlled.

The reason is, if you have a uncontrolled zombie, why would its eyes glow?

The reason Zombies eyes glow in the Zombies mode, is to point out that someone is controlling them, and this depends on the color of the eyes.

Also, where would the storyline go if they wasn't controlled by anything? There would be no storyline here and it would be hard for Treyarch to do anything with this.

(A possible way to get around this problem would be, Maxis travels back in time, like the original crew did on CotD, and wants them to make it so they get controlled by him...)

But, I honestly think someone is in control of them, because if no one was in control of them, there eyes would not glow at all.

(Oh yeah, did anyone see the ppsh? OMG!)

this is what seems most reasonable to me. I personally believe this could be the devil that has been theorized for so long.

blindbusdrivr has a great thread talking about the supposed "3rd voice" - http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... 53&t=19600

i'm really quite interested to see what we make of this.

True, but since we've never seen zombies that aren't under control from the MPD, nothing says their eyes CAN'T glow without a controller. Just because they DO glow WITH a controller, doesn't mean they CAN'T glow WITHOUT a controller.

Though honestly my first thought was that maxis gained control, which I believe firmly.

WHERE WHERE WHERE?!?!

I'm pretty sure I saw a mini Uzi at one point. When the dev introduced the second character.

Just to be devils advocate, the dogs eyes are orange...despite it being debated to be controlled at all, as it's eye colour stays the same with richtofen and Maxis :P

Say if there is this "3rd controller" Then what happens to it?...I mean...we hear nothing in the storyline of it getting defeated, and you would think something like this would be at least commented on, so does that mean it achieved success? ( and what success was it?)...It's all very confusing xD

I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

@DJDerp Yup. A few in the following picture, and more in trailer, plus red mystery box light.

Plus, I think the red mystery box light is going to be of importance. Maybe if we find out what's in charge of the zombies here, we'll discover the box's origin.

If I'm not mistaken, I only see one zombie with the red eyes. But then again, I didn't look to close at the eyes. Can someone say other wise?

There were also some red eyed zombies in the promo pic as well that did not look like the zombie in the trailer. So yes, basically was bagel_ said. :P

Another thing to note is that there is a ORANGE box light. This could tie in with other facts like we have a 'new' controller. Maybe this new commander thing could be the being Richtofen was hearing in his head?

I noticed that too. I want to say it's something else entirely as well. I'm leaning towards the mysterious voice. Perhaps this will be the map that describes its origins?

This is what tells you everything:

Entry 10, Study #0804

Though our matter transference tests at the new site have been largely unsuccessful, the teleporter's malfunction has nonetheless yielded some interesting data.

The fact that the test subjects departed their original point of origin is undeniable. What is uncertain is what became of them. Doctor Richtofen is insistent in his belief that they have been transported not through space - but through time. In the absence of empirical evidence, I myself cannot entertain such... madness.

I fear that the good Doctor's increasing irrationality may soon prove a liability to our endeavours...

;)

The existence of a "controller" or entity that took over the Zombies before Maxis and Richtofen is very slim. We would have heard about it before, especially as to how Maxis would have possibly gotten rid of the "first controller" and replaced it with Samantha.

It wouldn't make sense how this other being has never been mentioned of before by both Richtofen and Maxis.

Oh ho ho! Nice connection there, Matuzz! Of course, time travel.

These zombies are controlled by the ones who control Aether, the ones who control Richtofen and the ones who used to control Samantha. Vril-Ya.

I truly believe also that the zombies of MotD are either being controlled by someone (or something) else and will have probably both create and answer questions. Also it seems as a simple fact that samantha isn't in control of these zombies for some obvious reasons.

1.the eyes are red not yellow/orange

2.she's probably not even born yet

The red eyes fit in perfectly with the whole “horror theme”.

As we said above, the colored eyes symbolize that the zombies are being controlled. Remember how the EMP “disabled” the zombies in TranZit? They become completely mindless and simultaneously their eye color disappears i.e. they are not acting as a unit, meaning they are not being “possessed”.

Now back to my theory,

The red eyed zombies are PURE zombies. Along with the whole connotation with red being an evil color, these zombies appear to be pre-Samantha. This would mean the MDT is pure, as no human has made contact with and entered the MDT yet (well as far as we know).

Therefore, it is most likely that the zombies are being controlled by the Vril Demon.

While Sam and Richtofen were controlling the MDT, bits and pieces of their personality/humanity remained. But without a human, all that is left is the demonic essence. This would make the zombies "completely evil".

I personally believe these zombies will be highly aggressive, chaotic, and violent.

This would also add the whole horror theme of the map, as the zombie’s behavior and controller is pure evil.

Here's an idea on the whole zombies were here before Sam, if you notice Element 115 in its pure state has red cracks. Perhaps this is the first outbreak recorded in the BO zombie storyline. Any of the Tunguska stuff relate to this time period? I used to be on top of my research but lately I have been so disappointed with BO2 (I still like the game so please don't ask me why I am here) that I have fallen way outside the loop of info.
