Well the design was different in WaW and BO. Makes sense for it to be different in BOII.

I just think treyarch updated the PaP for BO2. Changing the sorta of colours and prettying things up :lol:

Also, it seems to me that the pattern was kind of affiliated with the gameplay itself. For instance, BO's PaP pattern was a computer processor chip design. What is felt like it meant was as the crew continued on into the space-age era (obvious w/ Cold War), weapons have become more versatile and massively destructive. The pattern symbolized the improvement in said weapons and technology.

The pattern in BO:II looks...well, destroyed. Every time I'm looking down at my PaP'ed Galil, I see what looks like cracks in it. Reminds me of the ground where there's lava cracks and melted texture. Personally, I see it as an apocalyptic look to the weapons where mankind is pretty much obliterated.
