Turns out you guys CAN view the vB sites threads. So here is the link the the General Discussion forum.

http://callofdutyzombies.com/vBulletin/ ... Discussion

NOTE* You do need to check the settings on a little drop box to make sure it is set to show posts from "beginning" it usually defaults at "within last month" or something like that. If you need help post here.

Edit - These are better links below

These are the links to the VBulletin Research Facility & Asylum.

They start from the oldest to the newest posts so you won't have to deal with the spam or change anything

They are both only 3 pages long so it's easy to navigate.

I think the last time I was logged in and viewed it, the site was filled with bots. Just looking now, I think there is one in Site News. I don't think I can view the rest without logging in though, which I can't. I think that password thing is happening to me, which is odd because I was fine before. I'm pretty sure I'm typing it in right, maybe I have it wrong...

At the moment sign up is discouraged. The reason we haven't just dropped phpbb (you see all the posts made it) is because the users didn't. So you'd essentially have to start over. Or at least, a good portion of us would. Some were affected, and others weren't. I'm not 100% positive that all of the posts made it, but it looks like most of them. But if you dig around you can see "_duplicate_Phxntxm" Or stuff like that on some posts authorship. That is what we are trying to fix. However, I personally think if we cannot fix that by the launch of DLC 1 perhaps starting over wouldn't seem so bad anymore. As long as the information is not lost, I personally won't mind losing my post count and rating. (which doesn't transfer over anyways, so rating starts at 0 when it is implemented on the vB site.)

So please don't sign up and post yet, but if you need to view any other asylum threads have have gone MIA this is your link. You should be able to see it as a guest. Again though, you do have to check the setting on a little drop box on the forum you are trying to view. It defaults at limiting visible posts to anything posted in the last month. You'll want to set it to "beginning"

There's so much Spam on there Mega!

It will be a big job to clean it out.

Cheers, Nathan.

Thanks for the info. I've been wondering about the vB site since I heard about it a few monthes ago but didn't know when the "transition" was taking place.

It's certainly in need of some mass pruning lol, but I love the layout and I've always loved vB forums.

If you ever need some help or have an issue, I'm an admin on a vB site and have a pretty good grasp of working with vB/mods/customization/themes.

Isn't the Asylum back up and working fine here? People could always just grab those old theories and paste them here again.

They are two completely separate Asylum's. I advise no one to such a thing, please. When we move the site back over, it would be horribly time consuming to go through all the reposted threads and merge them together. I am heavily against the idea, didn't mean to sound like a dick though :)
