My Upcoming Absence

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I figured I would let you all know about my upcoming absence. Some of you will have already known about this because I announced it a while ago, but I might as well explain it again.

For roughly the next 2 years I will be serving a religious mission for my church. I will be serving in the Everett Washington mission beginning this next month. I leave to enter the MTC, or the Missionary Training Center, next Tuesday July 31st. Even though I don't leave till next Tuesday, I will be following mission rules beginning this upcoming Sunday night. What that means is that after Sunday night I will no longer be able to get on the computer or my phone, play games, or watch TV/movies.

Ultimately, what this will affect is my capabilities as an admin for CoDz. Since I will have extremely limited computer access over the next 2 years, I won't be able to continue my work as an administrator here. As some of you may have noticed recently, we've made some staff changes to accommodate for my absence. Dan, aka Phxntxm, has taken my place alongside our previously standing admins Alpha and Lissa.

I will be leaving the care of the site in their hands, as well as in the hands of the rest of the staff. I trust them fully and I trust that you all will do the same for them.

I've come a long way in the 3 years that I've been here working for CoDz, and I can't help but thank all of you and all of the support you've given. You truly are a fantastic community and I love you all. I would be absolutely nothing without you and I feel I don't deserve some of the praise you might give.

I look forward to the time when I can come back to the site and see familiar names and friends. I look forward to seeing you all again and I hope the best for each and every one of you.

I know this site will still thrive without me, and I can't wait to see how far it will progress in the time that I'll be gone. I know that there are a lot of cool things in store for Zombies within the Call of Duty universe as well as a lot of really neat things coming your way in the universe of our relatively small CoDz forum/family, and I can not wait for you to see it all.

If you're interested in sending me anything in the upcoming two years, you all are more than welcome to send me email here: [email protected] . I won't be able to check it until I actually get home, but it would still be nice to see anything from you guys.

Anyway, good luck to all of you and may you all have a good zombie slaying!

- Nick (aka Covert), your forever grateful Admin and greatest friend

2014. When you see the numbers, you realize just how long it's going to be till we see you again. You're going to miss out on Black Ops 2 and whatever the next Call of Duty may be. :/

I know we haven't really talked much Covert, but good luck on your quest! When you get back, you'll only have a couple of months to find out everything about Black Ops 2 Zombies before the next installment if there is going to be one! By that time, there's no denying CoDz will not be the same as you left it, though hopefully in a good way. :)

Many users will come and go, some you may never get to interact with. Some of the community today, myself included, may be gone when you return. Hopefully that's not the case, but as you know, life has those unexpected twists and turns that challenge one's self and forces them to make decisions.

As stated before, I wish you the best of luck on your journey, and hope you get the outcome you want! I'll say bye to you again before you leave on Sunday. :(

Good luck on your journey Julio.I've done few of those during my teen years and let me tell you they will really open your eyes and will show you the true meaning of life and existence. Don't listen to Jay, and spend more time meditating. Also while you are there do me a favor and do some research on the subject of Animals Ethics to answer this trivial question: "Should the trivial human interest in eating meat be satisfied at the expense of the animal interest in staying alive? If we accept that animals have rights, raising and killing animals for food is morally wrong"

Adios and All the best my friend.

Good luck on your Mission, Covert. It takes a lot of guts to go out and do what your about to do. I've had all kinds of family do this before and it's a good experience for them. But promise us all one thing; that throughout the next two years, the work you serve won't change all the amazing stuff you've done and the person you are. You've done loads for CoDz. It won't be the same here without you. ;)

Thanks again, for everything. I couldn't be more grateful for the amazing opportunities you alone have allowed me to be a part of here at CoDz, it meant a lot to me to get a backstage pass upon the new release of this absolutely amazing new theme here at CoDz as the biggest one I spent more time on obsessing over, rather than focusing on school like I should have been, lol.

Best of luck,

- Undead xP

Good Luck on your new adventure Covert, we are all going to miss you here. You've had an enormous impact on this site, and everyone involved. It's been a pleasure to be a part of things with you for the last 3 years, and I'm fond of all the great times we've had. Have a great mission, we'll do just fine here.

Can't wait until you come back and see how things are in two years!

Your Friend,

Nick

Is it time already? Oh man...

Wow... What to say? Covert... It's been a pleasure. You've been a role model to us all, and frankly you have been awesome. You have kept the site together in some of its darkest moments, and celebrated with us in its highest of highs. I'm gonna miss you man. We haven't talked much at all, but the few times we did... Well it was a joy. Best of luck for the future, and I'll see you in two years.

[tab][/tab]You shall forever be known to me as Julio the Great. You have put so much time into CoDz it's absolutely inspiring. I can still recall back, before I was staff, when I was planning on making the Users Manual, how responsive and helpful you were. You're the only Admin that ever replied to my PMs. I have lots to thank you for, more than you probably realize. Your responsiveness and helpfulness, probably helped fuel the fire that I have burning for CoDz, even to this day. You gave me this wonderful hobby, with all of these wonderful people, and then even more so, you took a chance on me, and made me staff. That has since been a wonderful journey, and I am proud to be a part of this machine which I admire so much. However, now that you're leaving, I feel like the staff chat won't be the same... You've been a big part of CoDz, and quite the chunk of my life. So here's to you, Julio. One of the greatest people to ever grace this site. I only wish you didn't have to go. Seeing as you have to, I want you to enjoy yourself out there. Go learn new, and exciting things. Go meet new people. Have a great time. Report back here in about two years. I'll be waiting.

Your comrade, and your friend,

James

As a fellow Christian I understand the importance of God and religion. I hope that you continue to think about us and that everything you'll do helps you understand God and life a little better. I know I've questioned his existence and lost faith at times, but in the end, something keeps pulling me back to God. Not sure what is but I know and I believe in good things out there.

Nick, I'll speak to you in two years. because this site will still be around and that's something I can believe in. Have fun on the mission!

Ahh Covy, never once spoke to you until the day I was added to the staff chat, ever since then I've spoke to you nearly every day.

Over that time you've become a pretty good friend of mine, we worked on the new theme together and it was awesome and now you've given me a ton of creative freedom to do something I've been wanting to do for a while.

For that, I thank you, I can't say much more, it sucks to see you go, but you have to and I respect that.

You once said to me "When I get back from my mission, you're moving to America so we can start a business" I hope you stick to that, because it would be a dream come true to do it.

Good luck with everything man, I'll miss you, every one here will.

See you in Black Ops 3! :D

Wow, it's real sad to see that it's already time for you to go on your mission. You're an absolutely fantastic admin for this site with all that you do, and a really awesome person. I'm going to miss seeing you on the forum as well as in chats on skype (I can still remember the time you, Ollie, and I typed out the lyrics to 'I'll Make a Man Out of You' ). Good luck on your mission, have fun, thanks for all you've done for CoDz, and hope to hear from you in 2 years!
