Pretty much and weapon from the show RWBY could count as a Wonder Weapon. Here are a few that I've tweaked a bit to fit the zombies style.

Crescent Rose

This weapon is a massive mechanical collapsible scythe, which doubles as a sniper rifle. It has a 20 round magazine (5 Reserve) and a bolt action firing mode. The rounds are incendiary and have high penetration through zombies. The scythe is always open when firing, with the blade sticking out to the left from the end of the barrel. Using melee while holding causes you to wind up and slash down to the left diagonally. This slash can kill zombies up to round 25 and makes crawlers after that.

If you press the melee button and begin the wind-up animation for the swing, and fire the trigger during the wind-up, you fire a bullet up in the air (effectively wasting it) but the recoil adds massive power to your swing, allowing you to instantly kill several zombies with a single slash. This forces the player to decide between using ammo for a more powerful melee attack, or actually Firing it as a sniper.

Upgraded it becomes the Little Red Reaper. Its ammo is now explosive, with 30 round magazines, and 7 reserve magazines. The normal scythe attack doesn't change, but the recoil attack can bow affect more zombies per swing, as the blade is much longer.

Ember Celica

These are two yellow gauntlets that house incendiary shotgun shells. Firing them acts like dual-wielding any gun. When you press the trigger, you punch and fire at the same time. if you hit a zombie at point-blank, you deal considerable damage from the punch itself, but the follow-up blast of flame to the face is likely to finish them off.

These operate with a single-fire mode, and each gauntlet holds 12 rounds before being reloaded. They reload only from empty, and have 72 reserve shells.

Upgraded they become Burning Beauty. their magazine size is the same, but the range / spread / damage of each shot is increased. The damage of the punches themselves are also increased. additionally, firing both at the same time causes you to perform a massive two-handed punch that can take out multiple zombies on any round (like upgraded one inch punch.)

Hellfire smg

40/120

A small smg that looks like a mix of futuristic technology and the mythical design (think hells retriever). It shoots small pins that look like they are made of hot magma. They rip through flesh like tissue, allowing one bullet to hit an entire train rather than just 4 zombies, zombies hit by the bullets will be set on fire, dealing damage over time and increases the damage they recieve from other sources very significantly (talking like 3x) if they are killed by the hellfire they simply burst into smoke and ash, but if killed by another gun after being set on fire they explode like in tranzit

Devils tongue

40/240

Same as above, but the smoke from killed zombies will deal significant damage to other zombies and hinder their movement

Large boxy gun, with engraved gold decorations and an odd looking black rock near the top left. When shot a blueish beam comes out of the rock, turning any zombies hit by it into stone statues. These statues remain for about 30 seconds and will block the path of zombies, slowing them down or even stopping their progress completely if there are enough of them. The statues are unable to be passed in any way, so if you shoot a train in a corner, get comfy because you are stuck for the next 30 seconds.

Same as above, the decorations are now bronze coloured, and the rock and its beam are red. The statues are now black with red undertones, and last for a full 60 seconds. 30 seconds in however, they begin to deteriorate, sending toxic smoke wisps around that will damage and kill zombies that come near.

I thought the same thing XD also its function allows us to have a thundergunish weapon again, with a cooler way of death and it punishes people who back themselves into a corner with it

Building a custom wonder weapon as an integral part of a character development mission-set would be great... starting pistol imbued as part of first few levels into bullet, laser, explosive or sonic hand weapon... charge with zombie kills to upgrade into second-tier form (shotgun, automatic rifle, dual-wield pistols or 'artillery') complete challenges throughout game play to add weapon-perks such as quick-load, double tap, vulture aid etc, complete final upgrade into wonder weapon form.

A new melee wonder weapon. It takes up a weapon slot, similar to the Ballistic Knife. I call them:
Blades of Redemption
This is a new melee weapon which can be obtained from the Mystery Box. It is two bloodstained blades stuck together with a medium-length rusty silver chain. The hilts of the blades are a deep black colour, and the word "Redeem" is scratched into the left hilt, and the words "Us All" are scratched into the right. These will flash a bright blue if the blades have not been used for 15 seconds. This is a hint toward the upgrading easter egg. They are a 1-hit until Round 13.
It has a slash attack similar to the Ballistic Knife if you press the melee button, but if you press the right trigger, you will do a dual lunge stab, which is very powerful, and is a 1-hit until Round 17, however, the downside is that it takes a bit longer to draw them up after the attack, and therefore leaves you vulnerable to attack during this "cooldown" period.
You can take these to the Pack-a-Punch machine, and you can upgrade them for 5000. This will give you the
Crushing Blow.
These perform quite similarly to the Blades of Redemption, but are now an orange blade, connected with a shiny silver chain, and a maroon hilt, inscribed with the words "It's Not" on the left, and "Too Late" on the right. These flash blood-red every 15 seconds without action, the same as the Blades. Their stab attack is a 1-hit until Round 28, and the slash is a 2-hit from Round 25 on.

Upgrade #2: The Secret Upgrades.
This weapon is quite unique in the sense that it has multiple forms, and the only thing that comes close to it is the Blündergat.
You can perform a secret task to create a different path of upgrades. To perform these, you must kill 18 Zombies with the dual stab, then kill 9 with the slash. Once this is done, you will hear a ding, and the actual blades will flash blue. This signifies that step 1 is complete, and lets you move on to the second step. To do the next task, you must find the two small glowing orbs which spawned at a random place on the map once the Blades were pulled from the box. Hold Use on these, and they will disappear from the map, and reappear within the hilts (a grey orb will go into the left blade, and a red one will go into the right blade.) and step 2 will be complete.
You must now recollect 20 souls, and once this is done (can be killed with any melee from the blades) You will gain a pulsing red blast around you which kills all zombies (only respawns them) for the 10 seconds, in which your character's vision will go white for 5 seconds and a voice will speak "The avenger has come, destroy them all!" as your vision returns to normal, and you will now be holding the brand-new
Scythes of Sulphur
The Scythes of Sulphur are a very special weapon. They have greying blades, and a distorted yellow coloured crystal adorns the brown, rocky hilt. They are connected by a ghostly chain, and this chain stretches and contracts with each slash of the blades. (You saw this coming) Every 15 seconds of inactivity on the blades, some words will appear. "Sacrifice" will appear in golden on each hilt. They are a one-hit until round 30, no matter the attack.
To upgrade these further, you must solve another puzzle. Once these are obtained, a single zombie per round will drop a crystal (but, unless in Solo, that crystal will never be dropped by a Scythe kill). You have to reach that crystal within 30 seconds of it dropping and hold Use to absorb it into the blade. It will flash gold, then turn a dull black. You must now kill 13 zombies to reawaken the blade, then take it to the Pack-a-Punch.
Some quick letters will flash on the blade when nearing the Pack-a-Punch machine, and you need to melee these letters (they will all be letters of the word Pack-a-Punch or "Increase your firepower") in the order they are shown. There will be 4 letters shown rapidly, followed by the same 4 repeating themselves until you complete stage one. Once the 4 have been correctly entered, you will need to enter another 5 shown, then 6. Once that is done, the blades will flash, and the words Sacrifice will reappear in gold.
You must now kill a whopping 50 zombies as a team in front of the PaP, and then the Pack-a-Punch will groan, and another respawn blast will occur as you are deducted all your points (if below 8k) or 8000 if you have over 8k and thrown a new weapon.
Brimstone to Damnation
You have now been given the most powerful melee weapons in existence. These fiery blades are the ultimate murdering machines (x) and will be an instakill until Round 49 (!!!!) However, they have one drawback; the switch. While holding these, your characters hands are slowly enveloped in a crust of fiery cracked Earth, and when they switch weapons, the more time that they have been held out, the longer they will take to break free from (max is 50 seconds).

They are 2 fiery long blades with a cracked earth hilt, no words inscribed. They have the same attacks as the previous versions, but if LT is held down, the chain will ignite and you will spin one of the blades in the air, then fling it into a crowd which causes an explosion.

If the left DPAD is pressed, the chain will break, and the blades will fuse at the hilt, giving you a super-twirly dual-bladed melee stick, which is very agile and powerful.

(Excuse the last bits, I'm getting quite tired)

Gunchaku

These are two sets of nunchaku (nunchucks) that you dual wield like a badass samurai. However the metal bars at each end of the gold chains are actually powerful incendiary lever action model 1887 shotguns. They are red with gold engravings and gold chains connecting them. The shells you load into the gun are glowing ruby red.

When pressing the tight trigger you swing forward with a melee attack that can one hit kill until round 5. however you also fire off a blast of fire at the same time, which is a one hit kill until almost round 20. The left trigger does the exact same thing. However spamming both triggers at the same time causes you to rapidly swing them both, firing continuously. Note that the centrifucal force of you swinging the guns on their chains cock it as you shoot. Remember the legendary flip-cock animation from modern warfare 2? Imagine that, but with both guns spinning and firing continuously.

You can fire 24 times before reloading. (6 shells per gun, 2 guns per hand.) Even when the guns are empty you can continue to use them as a melee weapon.

Upgrading them turns them into Bruce, Lee, Jackie, and Chan. each gun now has an 8 round capacity, meaning you can fire 32 times total before reloading. The guns are now also bladed, so the base melee damage is increased so it is a one hit kill until round 12. They become black with silver lines, and with multicolored shells. (Red, Blue, Green, and Black.) The shotgun blasts become these four colors. In other words each gun has its own color blast and ammo. They get a longer range and can one hit kill until round 25 as well.

Each different color / weapon leaves a different type of residual effect. Red = burn, Blue = freeze, (these inflict damage over time) Green = Slowness, and Black = Blindness / disorientation. If you fire with the right trigger only it will always alternate between Black and Green, and same with the other set. They operate consistently.

Tesla's Oscillator

This is a tactical grenade based on the famous earthquake machine. it looks like a metal box with a cylindrical rod protruding out of the top. You perform a complex priming animation (like Gersch devices) and then toss it down like a time bomb. It sits on the ground for 30 seconds. The rod slowly rises out and then slams back into the box creating a mini earth quake. It does this once every 10 seconds, 3 times total. Every time it does, Every zombie falls over like in origins when a robot stomps next to them. This gives you some time to make an escape or get a revive, but won't necessarily save you if you're cornered. This doesn't damage the zombies. You hold two at a time.

Apollo's Wrath

This is a large electronic recurve bow. The arrows are somewhat transparent silver but glow bright blue with electricity flowing through them when you prime them. It has only one arrow capacity (obviously) and holds 40 in reserve. When you hold down the trigger you pull back on the string slowly. You should only release when it has been pulled back all the way. How much you charge it only affects the range and not the damage. When fully charged the arrow flies straight with no gravity impact. When it hits a zombie, they explode into a shower of lightning and sparks, killing nearby zombies. It can kill approx. 5 zombies per shot.

You reload fairly quickly considering the single shot capacity. The time it takes to release an arrow, load a new one, and fully charge it is about 3-4 seconds. It never stops being a one hit kill to the zombies it affects.

Upgraded it becomes Cupid's Desire. It now has 60 reserve arrows, and can charge almost instantly. It now attracts zombies for a few seconds before performing the lightning effect. Now it can kill up to about 7-8 zombies per shot, and zombies on the edge of the blast's range are frozen briefly as if they were EMP'd or hit by Electric Cherry. It also gains the ability to revive downed teammates with a D-Pad function. This causes you to equip arrows that glow reddish pink instead of blue. You only have 3 of these arrows. Just shoot your teammate to revive them, or shoot a non-downed teammate for a temporary massive health boost that lasts 10 seconds.

It's a weapon that bridges the gap between Wunderwaffe and Lightning staff. It is a good medic weapon but still holds its own as a killing weapon.

Rodya's Revenge

This is a small, powerful one-handed axe that takes up a weapon slot. It is black but the end of the bladed part glows green. It has a lock-on lunge animation in which you grab the left side of the zombie's face with your left hand, jerk their head to the right, then bury the axe in their neck. However if you don't perform the lunge it gas the same damage, which is powerful enough to one hit kill on round 16. You only perform the lunge animation on the fatal blow.

Upgraded it becomes Crime and Punishment, and you get a second one. The one in your left hand is black and red. Now when performing the lunge animation you bury the left axe in the top of their skull, and use it to jerk their head to the side so you can chop them in the neck with the green one. You can swing each independently, or together. However the fatal blow will always be the lunge animation. They are now a one hit kill until round 25.

Also it gives it a D-pad function which causes the two to morph around eachother into one large mechanical executioner sized axe. (I mean an executioner's axe, not the handgun that shoots shotgun shells.) This is considerably slower to use than the separated ones, but also more powerful. You can cut through up to 3 zombies per swing which is a one hit kill until 34 and then makes crawlers. It has no lunge animation but an obnoxiously long wind-up animation before the swing.

This way you get to choose between mobility and power, which is one of the biggest causes of variation when choosing a weapon in Multiplayer. Weapons like the Ripper are the multiplayer variant of this two-in-one concept.

Purifier

2/10

A large and beautiful device with a pearly surface and large gold vines snaking around it, with golden sculpted leaves on them, the whole thing looks a bit like a cannon, and there is a large cross on the top. It shoots a large very slow moving ball of light that zombies shudder away from, and it causes them to glow then vanish into light going up towards heaven.

PaP Upgrade:

Light of God

2/14

The same device but the vines glow brilliant gold, and the whole thing seems to shine. It shoots a similar slow moving ball to before, but the zombies accept the light and run towards it and turn into wisps of light.

Some back story on the gun...the purifier was a device created by a highly religious group of christian extremists that refuse to use guns. So their cult like "scientists of god" created the device to free the souls of the damned. After freeing several souls, they "freed themselves" in a church in italy, killing all of their members in a ritual.

O.S.I.R.I.S: When shot it will create plants that sprout all over and tangle up zombies. Squeezing them to death. Zombies will be captured and elevated then explode from the pressure

A.N.U.B.I.S: a weapon that causes everything it hits to disintegrate into black smoke. Smoke will shoot out of the zombie's arm holes and eventually it's head will explode.

Difibulation Rifle

This was originally planned to be used as a medic item in the field. However the doctors field-testing it found it to be rather, well... counter-productive.

This weapon has a similar shape to the Maverick Sniper from ghosts. However, it can't aim down sights, and the area where the scope is is replaced with a screen with a heart beat monitor. It's the kind you see in movies, with the black background and the rippling green line. The rest of the gun is a very pale cream color, with a volt meter and a red knob.

It has a 1 round magazine with 20 reserve. It can kill about 10 zombies with one shot. It has the range and spread of a powerful shotgun, but with infinite damage / penetration. it has to charge before each shot. Normally the heartbeat monitor beeps softly on a steady rhythm. Pulling the trigger initiates the ahot charging. The heart rate gradually rises until it's beeping loudly and rapidly. After about 3 seconds of the heart rate increasing, it flat-lines for a split second before releasing a blast of electricity. This strikes each zombie directly in the heart, making their chest glow blue. Then they keel over dead.

Upgraded it becomes the HeartBreaker. It has the same magazine size as before, but less of a charge up time. It now takes only 2 seconds to go from the normal rhythm to flat-line. Now the blast is larger and consists of a translucent blast of yellowish light. However, The blast doesn't make zombies stop in their tracks like before. It act more like the 5 point palm exploding heart technique. The zombies keep running for about 2-3 more steps before a small hollow boom sounds out. This is the sound of their heart exploding inside their body. They just fall forward while running.

I now has 30 reserve shots and a large enough blast to send a full train into cardiac arrest. If doctor House had a gun, it would be this. Cure for the living impaired. (but not lupus.)

I don't think we've done snipers justice. Sure the scavenger was fun, but the fact that it is explosive negates the fact that it is a sniper. I made a sniper-esque idea a few pages back, but it was inspired by a pre-existing idea. even normal snipers are kinda under represented in zombies.

Plasma Rifle

This sniper rifle fires a more concentrated version of the Raygun's plasma. It is a very large bulky sniper rifle along the lines of the Barrett from Modern warfare. It has a similar color scheme and design to the raygun except with a more gritty texture. It has areas where the glowing green inside can be seen, like on the raygun.

It fires bolt-action, and painfully slowly. You can only fire off one shot every 3 seconds. Each shot is a fast moving green bolt that has infinite damage and penetration. Theoretically you could funnel your train through a choke point and score 10 kills per shot, but normally you'll only get a handful. The gun holds 5 shots and 30 reserve. It reloads slowly, like the Lynx in a helo scout in ghosts.

Upgraded it becomes the PlasmaDiscus. It now has black coloring and the glow from within is red. It also has raised greek lettering on it spelling out Όλυμπος (olympus.) It can now fire once per 2 seconds. It has a 10 round magazine and 50 reserve. The shots are no longer a single straight shot, but a red horizontal disc. This allows you to cut through over a dozen per shot easily. Their death animation shows them being cut in half, although it is still a one hit kill and cannot make crawlers. The disc expands the further it travels from you, so shooting at a train far away increases its power. This encourages you to actually use it like a sniper. The disc expands to a maximum diameter of a few meters, so it won't be able to eliminate an entire train, but probably most of one.

Ok, I have no Idea what to call this. Ideas?

It occurred to me that this could potentially work as a multiplayer weapon too.

Ok so this would be like a Kar in terms of firing speed. However, each round that the gun fires is actually an intelligent electronic projectile. It senses when it is one foot away from the target and then explodes. I don't mean it explodes like mustang and sally, I mean the rifle bullet literally fires a shotgun blast at the target from mid air. This effect only works if you are shooting at a target 10+ meters away.Within that range it deals damage comparable to an upgraded KSG. this is because the round detonates inside the target.

The benefits of this are that at close range, you can score high-power slug kills. However, at long range it is difficult to hit that one shot necessary to score a clean kill with slugs. This allows you to give a spread shot at long ranges, which maximizes your ability to score a lethal hit on more than one zombie.

I'm sure I could come up with a clever way to stylize this idea, but you get the basic idea.
