Explosives, Stingers, Knifing, Quickscoping and Nukes.

Explosives

In MW3 explosives are terrible, according to elite i've thrown like 8000 and only got about 800 kills with them, thats like 10%. I thought in black ops explosives were just right, not overpowered and not too weak. However in MW2 there were one man army danger close scavenger noob tubes thumper RPGs and all that BS. In MW3 theres the overkill perk, seriously who uses this? If you want a SMG as a secondary then just use the MP9! Overkill could've been replaced by danger close, which if implemented properly wouldn't be OP and annoying since other popular perks are in that tier. Explosives in black ops 2 should be like black ops i think, if you choose for them to be weak then add danger close. RPGs and rockets off tanks (if there is any) should do roughly the same damage and do a significant higher amount of damage than grenades. Also i think if all explosives look the same and sound the same its abit lazy, a valkyrie rocket made the same sound as a normal grenade and i just think its abit plain. In MW3 theres reapers preds AC-130's which all of the explosives have different sounds appearances and leave behind a different amount of smoke.

Heat seaking rocket launchers (Stingers)

I think the Stinger and the Strela-3 are OP. In black ops you can take out ANY type of destructible airsupport almost instantly if you carry a Strela because none have more than 1 flare. I find it really annoying when my air support is shot down instantly. MW3 kind of tackled this by having the AC-130 and Pave low have 2 flares, but you can still take out a pave low in 1 shot if your directly underneath it. I think rocket launchers like stingers should only have 1 rocket, unless the player is using Scavenger pro. Scavenger pro should be in the same tier as blind eye thus if players want to make a anti airsupport class they will choose blind eye over scavenger. Yes this will make air-support more dominant and annoying but most of the time players have genuinely got a killstreak by playing good. I highlighted genuinely because sometimes theres boosters/hackers etc.

Nearly everyone uses strelas in black ops because the other secondarys aren't as good. So i'd like to see stingers/strelas only have 1 rocket unless the player has scavenger pro on then they will have 2.

Knifing

There has been lots of debate on this topic, and this is my opinion. I think the knife should be equipped by pressing the melee button. Circle/analog stick for PS3 dunno about xbox though. The knife will take the same time to equip as it takes to change your weapon, unless the player is using sleight of hand pro (swap weapons faster) or the supposed perk 'Bladesman'. The slow equip means the player can't just quickly hit circlecircle to kill the player. This would hopefully reduce panic knifing.

Quickscoping/Sniping

Quickscoping... well, some people hate it and some people love it. However, I'm in the middle. Quickscoping from a distance were a shotgun would be useless is fine with me, however when the sniper is in shotgun range and quickscopes me i get really annoyed. I say if you want to go round 1 shot killing everyone in CQC then use a shotgun, snipers are for long distances. Bring back the bolt actions without scopes from WaW!

Nukes

Finally, Nukes. I think MOABS are pretty useless? You get 6 or under kills, or 9 or under if playing ground war. You have to get a 24 gun streak to get these 9 or under kills and a EMP effect for a limited time for the opposing team. I think the EMP should last for the remainder of the game. The MW2 Nuke was better than the MW3 MOAB and it is easier to get. I don't see the logic...

Personally i have only got 1 MOAB with the L86 LSW on ground war TDM. Unfortunately for me the MOAB went of when the score was 9900, so i only got one kill :(

I know devs do sometimes read the site, i doubt they will but if they do happen to read this hopefully they will take something from it if my ideas are good.

All of this we know. I highly feel strong about knifing though. It should be like in Battfield where the knife is an equipment and stand alone weapon, then does DAMAGE with a swipe or total of 2 or 3 swipes depending where the point of impact is, PLUS if you are behind the guy knife him with one swipe as in "takedown" . OR another idea is in like Gotham City Imposters where the knife is a button press like in CoD but the knife only does damage and takes about 2 swipes on average.

The thing about knifing is 1 hit kill knifing has been standard in Call of Duty for years now, and I reckon a lot of people would be damn annoyed at it taking 2 swipes. Press the melee button to ready the knife, and then carry it around with you, ready for it to be a 1 swipe kill thing. So If you wanna go all OnlyUseMeBlade, then you can! Sorta like Counter Strike.

The thing about knifing is 1 hit kill knifing has been standard in Call of Duty for years now, and I reckon a lot of people would be damn annoyed at it taking 2 swipes. Press the melee button to ready the knife, and then carry it around with you, ready for it to be a 1 swipe kill thing. So If you wanna go all OnlyUseMeBlade, then you can! Sorta like Counter Strike.

Like your idea but i still think they shouldn't make it one hit knife like they do now. Panic knifing is just the worst.

i dont like how sniping was handled in black ops, i think it should be just like cod4/w@w, and no extra effect from sleight of hand pro. and as much as i loved scopeless snipers in W@W, i must admit they were a bit overpowered, especially with the bayonet. just bring back the ACOG and keep sniping at long range. and the damage for snipers in black ops was almost perfect, but the recoil for semi-auto snipers should be cut in half, because the dragunov was almost useless if you got a hitmarker.

with regards to panic knifing, i see no real problem with it. i use it as a good defensive tool all the time when i am going for a killstreak. i dont care about the unrealistic aspects of killing someone by stabbing their toe, i just like it as a part of the game. the fact that i cant do it in BF3 often gets me killed when i am too close and the enemy has a more powerful weapon.

but in general i want this game to have the killstreak system of black ops, they perk system of MW3, the map size and vehicle use of W@W, the pace of CoD4, and the gun balance of Black ops after the OP guns were nerfed.

Knives should be kept at 1 hit kill. It's like a reward for getting close enough to do it. (which is often pretty hard)

About carrying the knife, That's a ballistic/ tactical knife, so they already implemented these ideas.

As for the launchers, in both Black Ops and MW3 I hardly see anyone see anyone shoot anything down immediately. Only I do that. I get in the right spot with Stingy and shoot down attack helicopters before they even get to the map!

I would beg to differ. It's called having a better connection or in MW3's case, not being lag compensated. Those split second things almost always depend on who has a better connection to the host.

"Nukes"

NO. nonononononononoononNoN0NONONONONOnonono0no.

Nukes were something that ruined mw2 as everyone tried to get them, resulting in the games tatics to be camping or spawn killing.

I would enjoy a high killstreak that looks cool, but nothing that would prove deadly tothe gameplay of a multiplayer match.

Panic knifing was made up by some douche who got knifed one too many times.

If they change it to a 2 hit kill, then it should be kept as a quick button tap. I personally find it difficult to knife someone already and "panic knifing" is the only way anybody could have a chance of surviving when someone gets the drop on them, so I believe it is already balanced as it is. You can at least be thankful there is no more commando from MW2.

On that whole panic knifing thing, I say a big hell no. If they implement any form of 2 hit kill knife in a series that's about (9?) games long now, they might as well just remove the knife completely because believe me people are not gonna even bother with that.

As for rockets shooting down pave lows/choppers/AC-130 just deal with it. Personally (as a guy that does get his killstreaks pretty easy each match), I believe you just have to kill whoever is trying to shoot your killstreak down first before they can get their shot off. It's kind of the reason why I run either Pred-Reaper-AC-130 or if I'm tryharding Attack heli-Reaper-Osprey. The AC-130 makes it pretty easy a lot of the times to find who's shooting at you and same with the Osprey.

On the explosives topic MW3 semtex is starting to piss me off because all I ever get is hit markers with it, so now I've switched to C4 and must say it works 1000% better than semtexes. And if you throw on quickdraw perk you can't go wrong.

Quickscoping is fine too. Believe me as a friend of mine is trying to teach me how to quickscope and I've got the basic gist of it now, anyone who can run around with a sniper on a small map like dome and still finish with a 2.0 k/d and better has earned the right to do it. He went 45-7 on a lockdown kill confirmed with an L118A. I hope to be that good someday. Bottom line is if you can't quickscope, don't get mad when they kill you, it's difficult to master and also a lot of the time quickscopers get hit markers while they use bolt action snipers. Are you telling me that it's not fair? Game is fine.

For NUKES/MOAB I find that MW3 had a much better system in place for it, getting a 24-25 gunstreak is something hard to do, even with specialist, which is why most times i use assault killstreaks. Honestly those who do get the MOAB do earn it. Yes it kills everyone on the team/provides temporary emp/ and gives everyone double exp. What more could you want? If you actually want to MAXIMIZE on your kills per match then you should run assault.

The system works because there is a counter for everything, I haven't been playing the CoD series for as much time as most people on this forum but from where I stand the system is fair. Checks and balances.
