UPDATE: Garret Capone has found something very interesting with the code. He came up with this longitude and latitude (somehow:( N 51° 58′ 57.9918″ E 5° 19′ 39.7862″. Where is this exactly? Its a residential street in The Netherlands called… Tacitus! The very same Tacitus from the second intel unlock that’s thought to be a weapons manufacturer in the upcoming game.

Interesting.

He has not posted any proof at all of that, I contacted him on twitter. I think that he searched Tacitus on google earth, and just said that he solved it.

I'm not saying he's wrong, but quite a few people made that point (Tacitus St.) before the code even came out. It is far too easy to click an area on that street, get the coordinates, and say you deciphered the code. I'm not putting my bets on some random person on another forum with no proof. We have better standards here and if he cannot provide proof, it didn't happen. No need to bend the rules for people who aren't even on this site.

Didn't feel like retyping.

OK. These ARE longitude and latitude references. This is the Long Lat point for Tacitus Street (It's just what I searched)

39.017479,-122.067612

Then THIS is one of the codes we're given.

34.84e56c,-c4e.271b662d1

They look pretty similar.

Using Covert's translations, we get this sort of thing. 34.845563,-345.271266241

The Latitude points are correct. But the problem is that with longitude points, the first points (-345.271266241) Those bits have to be between -180 and 180. but they aren't. Only one set of points works as it is.

34.345762,-163.264106541

This leads to a spot in the North Pacific, just to the right of Japan. Enter the Long Lat codes into this site to get a good idea of where it is.

http://www.itouchmap.com/latlong.html

That's as far as I've gone. I think those are definitely Longitude + Latitude co-ordinates, but we need to find out how to make them work properly.

We could try adding each latitude line number together or some thing like that :D

But that would make the numbers bigger :/

I think Long Lat is the right track, but there's more work to be done here.

You can get Tibet, Shangai, Japan, Afghanistan and South Korea.

If you follow directions of stanfordfan24 in callofduty.com

If you take the codes, and replace the letters with the numerical value of a texting keyboard, you get these codes:

34.849264,-271.272956371

34.843562,-243.271266231

34.346660,-223.282726831

34.344163,-298.287886221

34.343762,-232.233106541

When you put them in the geocode decoder ,they all turn out to be real places. I also suggest using this decoder ,since it shows the points on the map.

I'm not sure if this is right, but it seems promising.

Odds are it is where the game takes place. Remember how MW3 teasers started with 4 different locations?

If this helps I have the codes deciphered into letters and numbers seperately. Using the Vignere Cypher.

The Afghanistan fits nicely in the story time line.

In 1979, one year later than Operation Charybdis starts. Russia had started war in Afghanistan.

Russia being the main enemy in Black Ops, there might be some connections to this war.

Most notable CIA had financial aid to the insurgents within Afghanistan was approved in July 1979, six months before the Soviet intervention, though after the Soviets were already covertly engaged there. Arms were sent after the formal intervention.

That's some thing CIA maybe today wish they hadn't done :D

I'm new and and I'm not very good at this, but I'm pretty sure these are hexadecimals, I know someone posted about this earlier, hexas go 1 to 9, and A to F, considering that matches up, look up hex to text or hex to binary to text and start copy and pasting some parts of the code in to see what happens. I'm going to school but when I get home I'm destroying these codes unless they're already cracked.

No, I think the CIA are happy with their muslim front agency.

Howelse would they have started the war on terror...? They always need a boogeyman. Bin Laden was a CIA asset. The bin laden family has ties to the Bush family, GHWB & GWB. Al cia da is a better name for that group.

The gulf of tonkin & operation northwoods are both indicated as false flags by BO intel... See what I'm getting at here?

Back to the events of the cold war in the 70-80s.

We have SAS & The Munich Massacre a terrorist attack during the 1972 Olympic Games?

Lots of interesting materials for us to dig into.

Regards Alpha.

Hey I'm new here, saw this forum while trying to figure out the code...

so it looks like all 5 locations seem to be in a straight line...which makes sense if all latitudes start with 34.xxx

Is it a coincidence that Santa Monica also has a latitude of 34.xxx and falls in line with the 5 locations?

Treyarch and Activision both happen to have HQ in Santa Monica....

After looking at the Codes and some of the Hexadecimals to Text Deciphers, I noticed something unique on all of the Letter Deciphers.

DEIEJCGECHBCHJFGDHB = 3 4849264271272956371=34.849C64,-271.272956371

DEIEEFGCCEECHBBGGCDB=34844562244271166231=34.84E56C,-C4E.271B662D1

DEDEEBGEAJICIHIIGACB=34344164098267886021=34.D4416E,-A98.287886AC1

They look like a bunch of jiberish at first. But, comparing all of them together, something popped out at me. One being that there seems to be hidden words inside of the Letters. I haven't found anything yet to help pull some words out of them yet effectively, Unless someone is really good at scrabble or some sort. But, from the way that the numbers are translated into text, there must be representations of words inside each bunch. I would look at the "still" numbers first, find there translation, and use those as base letters? Then, Determine other methods. Ill go further and figure it out. But this is what I have been noticing.

Hey guys,

I was trying to reverse the GeoCode and when i did the code -

34.34E76B,-AFC.2FD106541

I got 7 possible sets of longitude and no sets of latitude. I was on Google earth for a while and one of he longitude codes sent me to...

Kowloon

If i remember that was a map on BO and a mission on the single player.

This may or may not help i am not to bothered about BO2 I was just bored.

Do what you want with this info.

Bye. =)

I don't know if anyone has seen KingSkylark's twitter, but he has put some interesting tweets, which I'm pretty sure include the key.

Shit's gettin' real on the CoD front, I wonder what secrets shall be revealed at http://callofduty.com next?! I'm hoping for pie. Lots of pie

This tweet was put out yesterday, when the update with this code was put up.

If it was MY choice (which it isn't), I'd never give up the secret or reveal what it means, a la Kryptos

Kryptos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kryptos

Guys, GUYS! New piece of intel up at http://callofduty.com. Still no pie yet, but hey, there's always tomorrow.

What familiar word does each tweet contain (besides the middle one)? The word pie.

"I'm hoping for pie." and "Still no pie yet." obviously means there has to be something related to this code with pie. Now, with the second tweet, he mentions "a la Kryptos." Well, there's pie a la mode, but to mention a code inscribed in copper on the grounds of the CIA that has 3 parts of 4 solved, with various methods of decryption? I don't think it's a coincidence.
