A Zombie Trilogy v.III [NOW IN VIDEO]

Recommended Posts

Thank you Zelkova.

Meanwhile, I've renumbered the storyline and edited P41. Here is what it was:

P41.Despite Dr. Gersch being gone, the Ascension Group minimally improved the Thundergun Mk II, into the Thundergun Mk III, by improving its reloading capabilities. The only known Thundergun Mk III was sent as part of a weapon cache to Kowloon City, Hong Kong, China. On February 20, 1968, Ryan Jackson, who was now a Chief Analyst, wrote a report containing information about Gorki to Richard Kain. Sometime in late 1968 to 1969, Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen finally reappeared. They had teleported from 1946 at Der Riese to this time at Kino der Toten.

Kino der Toten had long been abandoned, and somehow a Thundergun Mk II ended up there. Some of the Zombies that were contained in canisters had broken loose, starting a Zombie outbreak. Many Gas Zombies were also rampant. Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen fought against the Zombies, until Richtofen found the Pocket Teleporter and used it to teleport them away to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in 1963, at the same time as the Pentagon outbreak.

Kino der Toten had long been abandoned, and what exactly happened in those twenty years was unknown to most. Somehow a Thundergun Mk II ended up there. Strangely enough, the four also found a recording revolving around the Great Leap Forward movement in China.

EDIT: Now I'm editing P51 and P52. Here is what they were:

P51.Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen then arrived at Area 51 sometime between July of 1966 and June of 1967. It was overrun like no place before it was overrun, with Zombies and H*llhounds, and it was now better known as No Man's Land. Richtofen had put the Focusing Stone into the crevice in the Vril Generator, effectively merging them together into what he called the Vril Device. Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen used the teleporter set up by the United States government in No Man's Land that had a direct connection with Griffin Station to go there. The four put on Pressurized External Suits. Despite Richtofen’s planning, his inner spacesuit turned out to be unnecessary. Two new types of Zombies appeared in Griffin Station alongside the regular Zombies. Astro-Zombies were reanimated bodies that happened to be in spacesuits at the time of their reanimation. They were super-pressurized, and they had the ability, somehow, to teleport at will. Phasing Zombies were Gas Zombies that mutated, gaining the ability to consistently teleport forward in between every few steps they take.

P52.Early in the time frame of July 1966 to June 1967, a young man named Marlton Johnson was in the area around Nuketown. When the battle between the Black Ops and Spetsnaz occurred, he took refuge in one of the fallout shelters that the town had. When the nuke dropped on Nuketown, all of the Black Ops and Spetsnaz soldiers were killed. It also stopped Marlton's watch at 19:04'38. Radiation scientists were studying the effects of the explosion shortly after it went off when they noticed Zombies rising, which was due to either 115 or the Zombies themselves from Area 51. They sent a distress call to Area 51, which then sent in a two groups of four agents each. One group consisted of CIA agents. The other consisted of agents from the Center for Disease Control, or CDC. When they arrived, the radiation scientists had all turned into Zombies themselves. Perk-A-Cola machines and the Pack-A-Punch, hooked up to a car battery, rained from the sky due to the explosion. A rigged intercom was still functioning in Nuketown that transmitted Richtofen's voice from Griffin Station to be heard across Nuketown. The CDC and CIA fought against the Zombies in Nuketown at the same time that Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen did on the Moon.

Here is what they are:

P51.Sometime after 2025, the United States reenacted its above-ground nuclear testing program and decided to finally drop the nuke on Nuketown, which was now really quite old. They also found a young man named Marlton Johnson hiding in one of the fallout shelters, but he wouldn't come out.

P52.Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen then arrived in the No Man's Land part of Area 51 through teleportation at the same time as the Zombie outbreak in Nuketown. No Man's Land was completely overrun with Zombies and H*llhounds. Phasing Zombies were Gas Zombies that mutated, gaining the ability to consistently teleport forward in between every few steps they take. The CIA and CDC agents could hear Richtofen through his communicator and the intercom system in Nuketown.

Need to go insert something about No Man's Land in the '60's section.

EDIT: Here we go. Here is P38 before:

P38.By 1962, in Area 51, there was a ruckus at Hangar 18. The area contained many top secret technologies, such as a repulsive shield generator and Casimir plates. It also had the four alien bodies. However, one turned out to still be alive, and it made a bloody escape. This would have been cause for alarm had the Soviet Spetsnaz not invaded Hangar 18 at about that time. The American Black Ops fought them and crushed the invaders, but the alien was long gone. Also, Griffin Station was discovered by the United States. At Area 51, they built a teleporter that lead to Griffin Station. There, they found many strange devices. Curiously, Gersch Devices, R-7 Rockets, and the Russian Perks-a-Cola were there along with the German technology. Many modifications were made to the area, and a large teleporter was installed to make ease for mass transit. The United States developed a new division, Call of Duty Zombie Labs, to oversee operations at Area 51 and Griffin Station in matters concerning Zombies. They tested Zombie behavior in low gravity among other things, such as the Zap Guns.

Once research became more serious, Call of Duty Zombie Labs initiated phase two. In 1962, Zombies overran Area 51, which was then isolated from both the general public and even the military itself to contain the Zombies.

Here is P38 after:

What's next is to rewrite P56-P61. Here is some of it old:

P56.When the missiles hit the Earth, history was drastically re-written. A new timeline was created where the Earth never progressed past 1967. Sarah Michelle Gellar was never born. Richard Nixon never became president. It was a new world and a new history. The robotic Bus Driver survived the missiles, although he was heavily damaged. He suffered many damages to both his exterior and interior. He happened to be near Nuketown when the missiles hit, but he was far enough away to avoid destruction. Marlton left the fallout shelter, unscathed, and boarded the bus. He began to drive all over the western side of the country with Marlton as his passenger. Over the course of many years, the Bus Driver picked up more passengers. First was Abigail "Misty" Briarton, a southern woman, and she and Marlton, or "Marly" as she called him, developed feelings for one another. Samuel J. Stuhlanger, a conspiracy theorist, and Russman, a relatively old man, joined as passengers as well. Meanwhile, a man survived in the chaos at the area of Green Run in his cabin, fighting off native creatures, before he succumbed to death.

Here is it new:

P56.Consolidated Coach Corporations was a bus-line company that created a bus that could drive itself with a robotic interface, named the Bus Driver. He survived the destruction of the missiles, but he suffered many damages to both his exterior and interior. He happened to be near Nuketown when the missiles hit, but he was far enough away to avoid destruction. Marlton left the fallout shelter, unscathed, and boarded the bus. The Bus Driver began to drive all over the western side of the country with Marlton as his passenger.

Merging P56 with P57 because of length. Renumbering.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Small change to the first part of P57. Here it was:
P57.The Bus Driver arrived at the area known as Green Run, more specifically the Bus Depot. Misty, Marlton, Samuel, and Russman went inside the Bus Depot, and Maxis contacted them through the PA system there to ask for their help.
Here it is:
P57.The Bus Driver arrived in the long-abandoned ghost town of an area known as Green Run, more specifically the Bus Depot. Misty, Marlton, Samuel, and Russman went inside the Bus Depot, and Maxis contacted them through the PA system there to ask for their help.
Note: I need to add in a part about the power grid in Green Run. I think that is using future technology, hidden within a ghost town. I now also think the Denizens are an American creation, not Soviet. But I will worry about that in due course.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

EDIT: P58 and P59 are being rewritten. Check the OP to see the new versions. Here's the old version:

P58.Misty, Marlton, Samuel, and Russman continued to survive, not heeding Maxis's instruction. Richtofen then began to speak inside Samuel's mind, much like Samantha had done to Yuri. He gave Samuel in-depth instructions to build something with a jet engine to use to heat an electric pylon in Green Run, known as the Tower of Babble.

They scoured the area for pieces of the jet gun that Richtofen wanted.

Then they used those pieces to construct the Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23. Meanwhile they also built a device under the Tower of Babble, which consisted of a purple meteor that had crashed in the Bus Depot. Richtofen told them to bring the jet gun to the Tower along with a NavCard for the contraption they made, the NavCard Reader.

They brought the Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23 and NavCard to the Tower of Babble, which was in the middile of a corn field. They blasted the meteor that was atop of the NavCard Reader with the Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23 until the gun exploded due to overheating.

Richtofen then ordered Samuel and the others to wrest Element 115 out of the Zombies by killing them under the Tower.

Richtofen then announced that too much power was flowing into the Tower.

So they reduced the power input by throwing EMP Grenades they got from the Mystery Box at some of the electric lights around the area. Richtofen then gave his excuse of a thank you for helping him in his plan to heal the Earth for his own amusement.

P59.Misty, Marlton, Samuel, and Russman then turned the Power off. Maxis then praised them for finally listening to him.

Out of the sky beamed down "Him", who attacked the four passengers. They led him to the Tower of Babble, where Maxis told them to kill him to capture its essence to use as a power source.

They placed two Turbines under the Tower and then killed "Him", fulfilling Maxis's command. The Power was still too much, so they placed some Turbines around the lights, the same kind that had been hit by their EMP Grenades. This gave Maxis enough power to power the Tower of Babble, but not too much that would overload it.

The Tower of Babble was then powered to suit both Maxis and Richtofen. Misty, Marlton, Samuel, and Russman continued their survival against the Zombies. The Bus Driver continued his loop around the Green Run area. The four passengers tried to insert the NavCard into the NavCard Reader, however the Reader claimed it was the incorrect NavCard.

Order was also shuffled around. Still needs some major editing, however.

I'm lost MMX. Are you saying that the battle between Spetznat and Black Ops during the MP Nuketown map occured in 1963, but the bomb wasn't detonated until decades later in 2025. Or are you saying the radiation scientists didn't investigate until 2025?

We see the Nuke go off directly after the battle in the Nuketown MP map. The events that would follow that lead up to NTZ would be in a short amount of time based on the map's description.

I just don't see how it could logically be possible that NTZ doesn't occur within days (weeks at the most) of the MP map.

I agree that Die Rise occurs sometime past 2000, and Green Run is still unclear, but I just can't see how it's possible for NTZ to be in the future.

I just destroyed your whole philosophy on why you think Nuketown Z happens in 2025, which was the focal point of your whole timeline theory.

How you get from 1996 to 2025 is as flimsy as a theory gets.

Mix think of it like this, the SDC was formed in the campaign in the year 2025 and yet it makes some sort of appearance in zombies (I have seen it myself too on some of their uniforms) thats one fact that this has to take place in the future, another is the fact the refrigerator that is there is far to advance for the year 2013 so it must after this year. By common sense it wouldn't make sense for a refrigerator of such a advance tech to exist within say 3 years or so, logic would then state it must be a later date. That leaves us still with the 1996. I do not believe that they went through the effort to copy the Jin Mao Tower and put it in this map for nothing. The Jin Mao Tower is not present in any way within the campaign or any multiplayer map nor is a tower of any similar look present. We are never in China in the campaign nor are we there in the multiplayer maps.

Another thing is, this is China we know that Treyarch established we are in China yet when loading the map it calls it Province 22. This means that either the SDC has taken control of China (which can happen in the campaign depending on the outcomes of the Strike Missions and the campaign missions) or that this city (yes it must be a city since there are so many skyscrapers which also further proves it has to be in the future) has suceeded from China which is highly unlikely.

The more plausible scenario is the SDC has taken over this area which also explains why there exist SDC Zombies along with the Hotel Staff zombies. I'm sorry but if you are going to still disregard all these things that are Factual and are what lead us to these conclusions then it really is pointless to argue over the point.

Thanks Zelkova. However, since the campaign has different endings, I'm leaving those parts ambiguous. It's not like it even matters. Whether or not the SDC captured Russia or not, they're all gone now anyway. And yes. Province 22 is unaccounted for. The likely reason is that China of the future has a different provincial structure than it does now.

Btw, I made edits to P33 and P51. Here they were before:

P33.On August 12, 1948, American Junior Analyst Ryan Jackson sent a report to Chief Analyst John Abrams, synthesizing the German Wunderwaffe Program. The United States started leeching files from the Datenbediensteter in Der Riese using a CIA asset based out of Vozrozhdeniya, Soviet Union. These files were stored separately from the CIA's computer server; they were instead stored on the newly created Dreamland server. On July 14, 1954, Doctor Vannevar “VB” Bush, the leader of Majestic-12 and administrator of the Dreamland server, sent an e-mail to John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Lyndon Baines Johnson, Richard McGarrah Helms, Richard Kain, Richard Milhous Nixon, William Raborn, and T. Walker, telling them that access to the Dreamland server had been restricted to Majestic-12 members alone. Oddly, three of these people later became president, and three became directors of covert operations.

On April 4, 1949, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO, an alliance of many countries, such as the United States, United Kingdom, and many others, was formed. P51.Throughout 2025, a large military faction and alliance formed and grew. It was known as the Strategic Defense Coalition, or SDC, and it was made up of Afghanistan, Mongolia, North Korea, China, and many other countries. China tried to resist, but the SDC had powerful influence over them. The SDC and NATO were the two primary world power alliances. You are ignoring my evidence. I bet I can find you a good number of companies that will say they were established in the 1990's (I already provided one). I'm sure you could find companies that say "Since 2011" by doing a quick Google search. So your logic there is anything but concrete.

I don't see why you think that fridge looks futuristic. It looks modern to me. The one in my office looks almost like it. Any other futuristic technology to point out? I see the Chinese haven't even upgraded from SD tube televisions yet.

The SDC logo does pin us sometime in the future. But how far forward is unidentifiable because there is no evidence uncovered when the Strategic Defense Coalition was formed.

Any other evidence I have ignored to address? You can't get your 2045 date without coming up with the 2025 date first. And the way you came up with the 2025 date doesn't hold any water at all.

Egotistical. Refusing to acknowledge evidence I have. Insulting..... All these things can be said about you too. I took a stab at contributing. You didn't even acknowledge my post (and still haven't acknowledged my evidence) until I made some noise about it. Now Im shunned for it (predictable) because I didn't fall in line with your ideas. And this is exactly why you don't see me posting in this almost 60 page thread of yours. Im out.

There was no spoiler in your post when I replied. You went back and edited that in. I'm not apologizing for that. You also failed to acknowledge my evidence in your post, thrice. Companies typically don't advertise the "Since" date unless it was quite a while before. If you're going to use Google to find opposition, you're going to find it, plain and simple. I could use Google as a "source" to disprove half your threads.

The refrigerator has a touch screen on it that gives information most refrigerators wouldn't even be programmed to give.

The SDC is a 2025 thing. If you're going to go through all the trouble to say it may have been around for decades prior, you are surely doing nothing more than devil's advocate.

For the record MixMasterNut, you've been a contributor of this thread since nearly day 1. Your ideas have been incredibly vital to the understanding of the storyline. But you need to understand that you are not the only one with ideas. Many of your theories are incorporated in this thread. You can be "out" all you want. But your ideas will remain here, regardless of your status as a contributor. Stay and be a part of this feat, or remove your name from the list and have your ideas live on in something you disagree with, with someone you apparently hate.

P40.The United States was performing nuclear weapons testing, primarily in Nevada with its other top secret facilities. A test site called Nuketown was built, and it was built to test the damage of a nuclear explosion on a small town. The town was filled with mannequins to simulate real people. Sometime not too long before 1963, a battle was fought at Nuketown between infiltrating Spetsnaz and protecting Black Ops soldiers. The Black Ops won the battle, and they were fortunate that the United States had then cancelled the detonation of the nuke in Nuketown. In Handford, Washington, United States, a region known by some as the Green Run, homage to a nuclear project conducted there long ago, consisted of many undercover operations. Around the time of the Nuketown incident, there were several secretive tasks being conducted by secret Soviet insurgents. A town in the region was created as a coverup for a mysterious Soviet operation concerning radioactive material. A nearby farm was a cover for the housing of a missile and corrosive waste. The Soviets also acquired many Perk-A-Cola machines and a non-functioning Pack-A-Punch. They also artificially created strange creatures whose origins are not clear. A new Perk-A-Cola was present: Double-Tap Root Beer II. However, it is not known whether it was made by the Soviets or Americans.

Don't forget the addition of Perk-A-Cola Tombstone, which you had earlier in the previous paragraph 41.

I'm sorry, this Futuristic Fridge... I looked at it last night... My 6-7 year old Garmin GPS for my car tells me the date, time, traffic, there is a weather section, its touch screen, AND it tells me MY exact location, AND how to get places, with spoken directions!! Wooo, SOO futurustic!!! must have fell out of Marty McFly's pocket! C'mon, just because no one has simply DONE a small screen like this in a refrigerator for mas consumers, doesn't mean it HAS to be futuristic. So the thinking here:

The refrigerator has a similar build to mine and its a 2013 model but it obviously doesn't state weather, traffic, or have a fm radio built in on it. That is very very futuristic.
seems silly.

Topic at hand. MMX, Although there are still heavy hitters out here that disagree with the bulk of your argument, I read through, and like the changes you have made. Though some of them are thin, to someone without an expansive knowledge of the game can read this, and still not get lost.

Just a couple other things I would like to see either better researched, which I will try to do myself, are the Denizens. We do have an in game quote from Marlton saying that one has escaped to breed! And a little further elaboration as to why the Bus Driver is now simply circling Green Run, being that is GPS malfunctioned after driving through the tunnel the first time.

Your story, I like this.If I have any POSITIVE input for the storyline, not just speculation, I will continue to post. I dont care if you use my words,or put your own panache on it. I just want to see a timeline and story ALL will accept, be proud of, and excited to read, and reread.

I realize I left out Tombstone Soda. I think that is a more recent development. I think the power grid area was hidden within the '60's ghost town.

GPS's are made to do that. However, fridges are not. Having a touch screen on an arcade machine has been made before. Having a touch screen in your pocket however is new. The same thing can be said here. Sure your GPS can do that, but your fridge? Really? Something that high tech and unnecessary is something of the future. You don't need to know half that stuff to have the fridge work. Also, no one has done it, i.e. it is the future. You say "just because no one did it", but that's simply not true.

Thank you. What do you mean they are thin?

I think our determination of the Denizens still stands. But I do think the creator needs to be reevaluated. As for the Bus Driver, I don't see how we can know that. Maybe it just finally broke down? Electronics do that sometimes.

Why would you not post speculation?

I try to make a story all will agree on. It's impossible. But it is something to aim for. If you don't know what I mean by this, read the disclaimer at the bottom of my storyline.

If this is a typical, everyday fridge, then I guess I'm living in the Stone Age. You can't compare a GPS that was essentially created for navigation to a fridge that can tell a person everything they could possibly know all while functioning still like a regular fridge. Find me this model, then we'll talk.

@MonopolyMac: Why were there Nazi Zombies in the '60's at Kino der Toten? Those zombies were likely also from the '60's.

@Caddyman: Is that touch screen? I see buttons all over the place. Also, the fridge we are referring to is not monochromatic.

EDIT: Btw, I'm changing the split of Green Run, wording it better because of the split. Here it was:

Out of the sky beamed down "Him", who attacked the four passengers. They led him to the Tower of Babble, where Maxis told them to kill him to capture its essence to use as a power source.

They placed two Turbines under the Tower and then killed "Him", fulfilling Maxis's command. The power was too much, so they placed some Turbines around the electric lights that were in the area. This gave Maxis enough just enough power to power the Tower of Babble.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Richtofen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ||| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Maxis~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
P60R.Misty, Marlton, Samuel, and Russman continued to survive, not heeding Maxis's instruction. Richtofen gave Samuel in-depth instructions to build something with a jet engine to use to heat an electric pylon in Green Run, known as the Tower of Babble.
They scoured the area for pieces of the jet gun that Richtofen wanted.
Then they used those pieces to construct the Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23. Meanwhile they also built a device under the Tower of Babble, which consisted of a purple meteor that had crashed in the Bus Depot. Richtofen told them to bring the jet gun to the Tower along with a NavCard for the contraption they made, the NavCard Reader.
They brought the Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23 and NavCard to the Tower of Babble, which was in the middile of a corn field. They blasted the meteor that was atop of the NavCard Reader with the Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23 until the gun exploded due to overheating.
Richtofen then ordered Samuel and the others to wrest Element 115 out of the Zombies by killing them under the Tower.
Richtofen then announced that too much power was flowing into the Tower.
So they reduced the power input by throwing EMP Grenades at some of the electric lights around the area. Richtofen then gave his excuse of a thank you for helping him in his plan to heal the Earth for his own amusement.
I added in my spoiler after my post had been ignored. All the spoiler did was further prove the point I had already made in the original post. I thought maybe my post might get more attention if I added a click-able and a pretty picture.
I understand that companies don't typically advert "Since" dates if they are new companies, but there are tons of exceptions to this. And there is no rule that says if you see a "Since" date, that the company must be at least 30 years old (or round to 29 because 2025 looks better than 2026). You won't find that documented anywhere. I don't know where the number 30 came from. You're just pulling that one out of thin air, and revolving everything else around it.
If you want to use Google to disprove half my threads, then I guess those aren't the ones you've chosen to incorporate into your theories that qualified me as a 'contributor' to this thread. I simply used Google this time as a search engine to find existing companies for real life example to disprove your speculation. You can't pull the "can't trust the internet" card here. Real life example hold more water than your baseless speculation.
Just because I don't agree with some of your ideas doesn't mean I hate the whole thing.
BTW, the fridge at my work is awesome. It has all this touch screen stuff on front with LEDs. You can choose from different types of ice. You can program the temperature of the fridge, the freezer, and even the water that is dispensed. It even has an alarm on it. Modern fridge technology is awesome.
Your post merely reiterated the "Since" some date line, which has been discussed. I replied to that logic by providing further evidence.
The key word is "exception". The storyline has always been about likelihood when connecting facts. The highest likelihood is that it has been QUITE a while since formation. You yourself have just said this.
You misunderstand. Anyone can Google something and "disprove" anything. There is no reason to be snarky MixMasterNut. You should be grateful to be a contributor. If you're not, then take your name off the list.
"I don't agree with some of your ideas" is not the synonymous with flat-out laughing at my logic.
You sir are downright rude.
Lastly, again, monochromatic.
I've just begun.
yeah my fridge does most of that too mix, has an alarm, electronic lock, etc, etc.
it's not touch screen per se but it has flat touch sensitive buttons that are used to program it as opposed to a fully touchscreen device like a smartphone that can detect touches anywhere on it(capacitive touch).
there ARE fridges now that have full touch screen lcd displays you can use just like a smart phone.
which in reality are probably more advanced then the fridge we see in die rise.
Comparing your fridge just doesn't work. Any type of fridge you compare to this one, however complex it may be, is going to be lacking something this one has. That's the beauty of it.
EDIT: Anyway, I think the power grid area in Green Run, "Him", the Denizens, and Tombstone Soda are all modern creations. What do you guys think?
don't necessarily agree.
i think i do agree with that.
the fridge is modern, but 2025 modern....it's a toss up really. the fridge, power room, denizens, and tombstone could all, possible be present day.
Did you watch my video? The gap between the nuke is the only unlikelihood in the entire thing. But the evidence necessitates that the one unlikelihood did in fact happen.
"Short amount of time" That is YOUR words, not theirs.
Again, watch the video.
Of course they were my words, I said them. It was my interpretation of the description being provided by Treyarch, and I really have a hard time seeing how you interpret them any other way. To say that a large gap in years must of occured to fit your theory is very unlink you MMX. We use the evidence to build the theory, we don't make the theory and force evidence to fit. I understand what we currently have in front of us is quite complicated, but we mustn't lose our heads about it. Now let's go back to the NTZ description once more.
"Nuketown Zombies is set during the events of Moon, and after the end of the multiplayer level from the original Black Ops game. A group of radiation scientists are investigating the Nuketown remains and discover soldiers that have been revived by Element 115 from a nearby Nevada base. The zombie soldiers attack the radiation scientists and turn them, and after receiving a distress signal, the base in Nevada sends in CIA and CDC agents to investigate. Upon arrival in Nuketown the agents lose communication with Hangar 18 and become stranded…setting the stage for Nuketown Zombies."
Let's break down the description. NTZ takes place during Moon and after the MP Nuketown map. Ok, so we know that Nuketown happens in 1960-something, and NTZ happens at some point in time after that. We all agree on this. A group of radiation scientists are investigating the remains of Nuketown when they dicover the zombies. These radiation scientists were there to measure radiation from the blast at Nuketown, do you not agree?
     Either way, Area 51 picked up the signal and sent in CIA and CDC agents to respond. Now it's logical to assume that if the agents at Area 51 picked up a distress signal, they would be quick to act and send in a team immediately. These agents would arrive at Nuketown within hours of the distress signal, days at most. Logic dictates all events thus far would all happen within a few days of each other, a week at most. Logic would dictate we are still in the 1960's.
[tab][/tab]And now we are at the arrival of NTZ. These agents from Area 51 arrive at Nuketown, only to lose communication with Hanger 18 and Area 51 on their arrival. These could also indicate a time of NML's takeover as well considering NML occurs at Hangar 18, and suggests that NTZ and NML occur simultaneously. We are still in the 1960's, and all events that have occured thus far have happened in the 1960's.
Does this not make sense logically? I don't see how the description could be interpreted any other way then what I suggested above. I just can't see how it's possible for Nuketown Zombies to NOT take place in the 1960's.
Now, after that, it get much more confusing. Green Run has alot of possibilities, and I'm still open to the option of it being in the future. But there's also strong evidence that points to the map occuring sometime in the 80's. If we can agree that NTZ occured in the 60's as I suggested above, then it would make sense that Green Run occurs in the 1980's at the earliest based on Maxis' quote. "Decades" leaves a wide range of options though, and could be anything from 20-90 years, meaning a future date of 2025 or later is still possible. It really could be any given time. The 1960s surroundings in Green Run could just remain from back when the Earth was bombed in the 60's.
I agree on Die Rise being sometime after 2000 at the earliest, and could even be later than that. The "since 1996" sign is a clear indicator of a solid date to start from. As for the discussion about the usage of "since ..." indicating a particular date for a company's establishment is just silly. Companies can put that slogan on whenever they see fit, although within a year or two doesn't seem logical. Really it's all dependent on the company. A famous pizza chain would generally use the slogan after 20+ years ("since 1975") as pizza restaurants have been around for a long time. But a company that specializes in fixing iPads, for instance, would use the same slogan ("since 2010") after only being in business for 3 years. It's all dependent on the product's specific market. Ultimately, business' can use the slogan whenever they feel like it, whether it be a year or twenty years. Any talk of a "law" against this is again just silly. The only thing we can take from the sign is that Die Rise takes place sometime after 1998 or 1999. In my opinion, I see 2010 or later, but that's just a hunch. The SDC badges seem to indicate a future date as MMX stated, which makes sense. But it ultimately leads to the pesky question of how the the Jin Mao tower was constructed when the Earth was bombed in the 1960's.
One last thing before I go, I feel I must touch up on this "futuristic" fridge of ours. Modern? Yes. 2025-Futuristic? Not so much.
That badboy's got a 10" LCD touch screen, Wi-Fi internet access, apps, weather, whatever the heck you want. Now I know none of us have a fridge like this (if you do, smack yourself in the face, return it, and give that money to some feeding children), but the point is they're out there, with the technology we have now. And guess what, I bet if you pay extra you can even have a LoJack added for all those pesky refrigerator theives out there. My point is, the fridge isn't exactly 2025 tech. In fact, the Samsung fridge above seems a bit more advanced than the one from the game.
