Big Question I Need Answered

So I just finished the Shangri-La AND COTD EE so I went to do the Moon EE with my friend so he was using a guest profile. I was Dempsey and he was Richtofen, but with no Vril Rod in his inventory so do you get it after a certain step?

from what i've seen you only have the vril device on xbox live matches. not solo or split screen or even system link i believe :?

Ya to my understanding from research about it you HAVE to be doing it online, which in my opinion is bogus seeing as how I like the oppurtunity of completing the EE with a close friend in the same room. Plus there's the added bonus you don't have to worry about if they lose their connection for whatever reason(s) but oh well I guess I'm just hoping that they might patch that before ps3 release lol.
