i have heard that when you start the game it is very dark like very very dark so my theory is maybe the light house brightens up the map and brings you back to normal lighting

Okay, That might be plausible. But I find one draw back to that. The Light in the Lighthouse Revolves. Slow or times fast. So it could be possible that we might have one or two few moments of light at a time no matter were we stand in the map.

Honesty, I hope they don't pull that COLOR BS like they did in Ascension, that just annoyed me.
