This idea has been thrown around this site forever, Nazi Zombies wouldn't work as a storyline, the Surviving Until You Die method is just perfect for it. YOU DON'T RUIN PERFECTION!

no offense bro im not tryn 2 be a troll or jerk or anything but there is a story line behind zombs. i think he met like all the maps together and a more continued and in depth story lines also with like triple the easter eggs =P

I meant OBVIOUS storyline, it doesn't need to go into more depth, or else CoDz would not be able to do much anymore if they just gave away alot.

What I always thought would be awesome would be just to expand the idea behind it. Some people like the idea that you are barricaded in a building/facility and the closest you get to outside of it is looking through the windows shooting zombies as they approach. I however think that there should be multiple of these buildings/facilities that are accessible in an almost free roam type situation.

While you free roam you can search for clues/eggs/hints and other bits and pieces that help us put together a theorized storyline behind the game. It will work like night and day, during the day time you have the option to move from one facility to another for whatever reason and take up a different stronghold while at the same time the zombies are less likely to swarm you but will attack if attention is drawn to you.. If your caught outside by the time nightfall hits, you've got a chance at living but to make it so that it keeps its style and gameplay you have to get back inside and lock everything down. Different buildings have different weapons buyable off the wall and as you progress through buildings they will obviously become better and more costly. PaP will still exist just not in every building since you won't be in some of them as long as others.

In order to leave a building, certain goals and objectives should have to be completed inside that building and all the doors must be open meaning you've spent atleast 1 day/night there and have completed said task. The tasks will reward you with points and minor powerups while the killing of zombies will still reward you with your typical drops. The main door that leads outside will than become available for purchase for a bit more than the normal doors, say 1500-2000 points.

Plausible tasks could be:

- The slight chance of finding a survivor or a scientist that holds important information about how this happened, what can be done about it, means of calming the situation, etc.. After finding the survivor/scientist you must protect him until the next day comes around and you have the opportunity to leave the building. Than you escort said person to a facility that he will reveal, unlocking new secrets and depth to the story. The scientist can arm himself with one weapon and will fight with you until an event takes his life or he is killed in action.

- Securing a location that holds an important piece of whats happening for so long as you and your team retrieve said information. Whether it be through files, journals, films, downloads, or even a simple computer database.

- Defeating a greater power that lurks inside. Maybe a zombie that was created indifferent to the others or some type of mutated beast that stumbled upon element 115 and became radioactively unstable. Upon completion you will recieve test samples or powerups that are minor but remain with you the entire time and can stack rather than a 30 sec insta kill at the end of a round.

- And of course everybodies favorite task.. Survive for a said amount of rounds before you can make a move again.

Not only would this be simply amazing but it would give this game a much bigger feel and wouldn't limit you to a few strategies for each map that get repetetive and annoying. It could possibly even bring a sense of freedom to zombies because at the very end when you have unlocked everything, completed your tasks, killed off the hordes, and remained human you could find a means of travel or escape instead of time travel back into a zombie infested cave or castle only to realize you've got to do it allllll over again.

I hope I'm not the only one who would play this shit all day long if it existed.

I'd like to play a campaign explaining the backstories behind the storyline characters. That'd be pretty awesome, although with Dempsey and possibly Nikolai they would be partly recycling the WaW campaign.

And I could totally picture a campaign mission during the zombie outbreak at Der Riese, with different objectives while you're trying not to get killed by the zombies. A whole campaign in that style would not work, but I like the thought of just one mission in that style.

Or better yet a campaign where you first start out as one of the characters until a level where you meet with all the others and fight zombies.

while you fight the zombies you basically have to find some vehicles to leave that area and go to the next place but there is a round limit.

once you go to that round you may do some stuff that may take a round and the you find the vehicle or helicopter

and go to another map.

All of the places you land in are choices made by Richtofen.

but instead of having one objective in each place you have to find people and gain weapons and things and the game will be a bit cinematic like the campaign in Black Ops like if you get attack by one zombie alone you have a choice of letting him attack you or grabbing his head and kicking him.If there is more than one you can pistol whip or just kick a group of them but you cant kick forever if there is more than one zombie you kick it drains a small amount of health and you have to wait a full 2 second before kicking again.

But when changing the place a cinematic scene may take over as in (Example) You are in Der Riese and the whole group is running to the teleporter one of the characters (lets say Dempsey) runs gets the WonderWaffe and tries to use it screws up and shoots the teleporter. Then you time travel to Kino Der Toten.

But the game would have 3 settings Campaign,Classic survival and multilayer.

In multilayer you have 18 people in one map you know team death match and all that regular stuff.

Then you have zombies mode.Zombie mode is where there are 12 people and all of you fight to survive each of you get killed all by zombies. If you get killed you cant get respawed but instead you go to 2 rooms either to chat with other players or a room where you can kill zombies for fun. Then you just wait for the match to be over.

I will update this when i have more time.

Reply to how you think it might be and what needs improvement.

they should release 2 games, one as a fps war game and the other as a zombies only game, both full price. I would get both cause that would just mean 2 awsome games to add to my collection and would also satisy the picky one-siders.

I agree that survival mode is perfect for zombies, so make it that, with map progression and egg finding, you unlock more to the story. Just like how it is now but on one massive map with several main brances that are all obtainable from starting position at the cost of choosing a particular path early in the game and sticking with it for enough rounds to unlock other main areas. If you play long games it would be way better and if you dont play long games you can just pick a different route each time and each main area will have is own course on egg hunts, kindof like an interactive level menu in a way.. just a dream..
