Lifts+Gersh Device = ?

Just wanted to throw something out there about the generator theory, Has anyone ever thought about using one of the lifts then just whipping out a gersh device outside of the map to see if you can get any results with the black hole it creates, who knows you might uncover a new piece of the puzzle...

I found something interesting as well with the Gersh Device. I threw it up onto the main power station where all the electricity is flowing and I heard Sam's demonic laugh like when you get the bear in the mystery box, don't know if it's anything of use, didn't hear anything else.

I actually tried the same thing in a different area. My thought is that if you throw it into an area that has no interactive features, it will just dissapear with that noise. Nothing special. :)

That means you wasted a Gersch. Sam laughs when you throw a Gersch into a wrong area.
