I actually do believe Maxis survived the events at Der Riese. I think he teleported at the last second along with Sam, but something went wrong and they ended up seperated? I don't know, it's just a hunch of mine.

I think that by the events of FIVE, Maxis is dead, but he was alive and doing more research in Kino. That's my hunch, it's not a theory. It's an idea of what I think might have happened.

Kino der Toten takes place after Der Riese because of the Cold War weapons on the wall. Unless the workers at Der Riese didn't care about using modern weapons, Der Riese had the WWII weapons.

In my opinion, the demonic voice is Samantha, because that voice says the names of the power-ups dropped by zombies. When playing as Richtofen sometimes he will say "A gift from Sam, but WHY?!" when you pick up a power-up.

kino is after der riese bc DR took place during WW2 and Kino takes place during the cold war, ie the berlin wall and newer weapons

the van/bus outside kino is a style that didnt appear until the late 50's/60's, and the m16 wasn't in service until 1961
