A monkey...

- "Ascension" - Could link to the Ascension scientist on the Soviet space program.

- Monkey's were used to test space craft, and were sent into space.

- Therefore, I think the new map will be space related, due to the links between "Ascension" and the space race.

- The meteor that carried 115 also came from space, so the two superpowers (USA and USSR) could have been

trying to get more 115 to create an army.

Ok...here we go.

The Americans used monkeys for testflights since they begun testing the V2 rockets. And we all know where those came from, don't we.

Later on they started using those monkeys for the testflights of their space rockets (f.e. Jupiter) because of their similar anatomical make-up to man and they are also very sensitive to changes in temperature.

The Russians never used monkeys for any tests.

That picture is like the Vitruvian Man from DaVinci with a monkey instead. In a space suit.

The original one from DaVinci was also used by the Nasa many times...for ex. patches for Spacesuits / Jumpsuits.

But this monkey-one has two circles instead of a circle and a square (it's something to do with geometry and math stuff... read here :

http://arthistory.about.com/library/weekly/bl_leo_vitruvian_man.htm ) .

So, Roman architect Vitruvius is connected to DaVinci. But he is also to the Moon, Vitruvius is a small lunar impact crater that lies on the northern edge of the Mare Tranquillitatis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitruvius_%28crater%29 .

Funny thing with the moon, on this pretty weird page they try do connect all together...the painting, moon and the great pyramid (which is somehow connected to the Illuminati) http://newilluminati.blog-city.com/sacred_geometry_the_architecture_of_the_universe.htm

That's what i found so far....

EDIT: Some more stuff about the Monkeynauts with videos on this fine site :

Leonardo Da Vinci tie-in? Or this is a hint we are going to France maybe?

France? Are you stupid? Da Vinci was from Italy not France, he was born there. So that makes no sense

Louvre in Paris!

Just because they house most of his work there doesn't mean it will be there ha ha

Hmm, interesting. Reminds me of the Vitruvian Man drawing by Di Vinci. This is definitely made for us to ponder over :)

"According to Leonardo's preview in the accompanying text, written in mirror writing, it was made as a study of the proportions of the (male) human body as described in Vitruvius

Written below the original drawing:

"-a palm is the width of four fingers

-a foot is the width of four palms

-a cubit is the width of six palms

-a pace is four cubits

-a man's height is four cubits (and thus 24 palms)

-"erit eaque mensura ad manas pansas" (Literally: "It will be the same in measure to the spread out hands.")

-the length of a man's outspread arms (arm span) is equal to his height

-the distance from the hairline to the bottom of the chin is one-tenth of a man's height

-the distance from the top of the head to the bottom of the chin is one-eighth of a man's height

-the distance from the bottom of the neck to the hairline is one-sixth of a man's height

-the maximum width of the shoulders is a quarter of a man's height

-the distance from the middle of the chest to the top of the head is a quarter of a man's height

-the distance from the elbow to the tip of the hand is a quarter of a man's height

-the distance from the elbow to the armpit is one-eighth of a man's height

-the length of the hand is one-tenth of a man's height

-the distance from the bottom of the chin to the nose is one-third of the length of the head

-the distance from the hairline to the eyebrows is one-third of the length of the face

-the length of the ear is one-third of the length of the face

-the length of a man's foot is one-sixth of his height"

From the Zombies standpoint: Quite possibly an outline used to create the perfect "test subjects" 8-)

Just putting something out there :P

I'm starting to think now that there really is a possibility that we go to the moon :)

Nope...don't think so. Who should have put a teleporter there and how ?

It's more a chance that they tried to use zombified animals as test subjects for their space program..and as usual, something went wrong and the shit hit the fan with those monkeys. So, maybe it's some kind of space center where the next level will bring us to.

OK...in fact the soviets never used monkeys of any kind for their tests of rockets. But the cosmic silverback in Dead Ops wears a Cosmonaut suit. And i think that little monkey on GKNOVA wears something similar to this. Don't know what to make out of this.

I think it might be the Comsic Silverback, its a monkey in a space suit, remember how they look? There are more of them, and you don't have to kill one just to find out that there is more. "The cosmic silverback has many brothers" I don't think they're alive either, they must be zombified from the looks of it from the Dead Ops intro and from gknova6,maybe its the new thief or dog round enemy in the new map? It's called Ascension, remember the quote "You must ascend from darkness" Keyword:Ascend/Map Name:Ascension-Something big might happen, maybe even the grand finale? Maybe...
