How come noboady ever seems to use the FAL, its my favorite weapon and the only other weapon I use is the M16, is it because it is semi-auto?

i like the FAL very good gun, i like to take my time and aim and be steady with my guns instead of running round like s nutter and spraying all over the place

I find the ACOG M21 to be better then the FAL. If your going to use the FAL use the Holographic sight on it, it adds damage.

The SLR is just the UK version of the FAL. The gun in game is deffiatly the FN FAL.

For the record: I have yet to unlock the M21 so I use the FAL with an ACOG sight and a combat shotgun or extended clip.

The SLR and FAL are basically the same gun, not too many differences. So you can't really tell based on the in game gun model. But why would the SLR be in the game anyways? The FAL is in the game because the militia could easily get there hands on it since its popular in the black market. So its used by the militia in the campaign. Yes the UK peeps are also in the game (TF141) but they don't use the gun in the campaign.

Regardless of who uses it, it is clearly an SLR. If you look at the side of the rifle, the change lever has 2 settings, S (safe) and R (repetition), repetition is the military word for semi automatic, and as there is no A (automatic) it cannot be the FAL.

I don't exactly understand your argument, but Wikipedia lists the L1A1 (SLR) as being the UK varient of the FN FAL.

No, I hate it because it doesnt look British, they totally messed it up. I've fired the LSW many times and there are at least 10 major faults with the one on MW2. And the rifle in my pic is the SA80A2, without the Gen.2 hand guard.

I use the FAL sometimes, I always run into FAL users with modded controllers. Of course, Carbon accused me of having a mod so nobody will believe me when I say I shoot as fast as a mod with my finger. I do shoot that fast with a trigger finger.

Also, the L86 looks nothing like the real life one. The SA80 looks sexier.

i believe you man; ive had that problem sometimes too when i kill somebody with a semi auto gun...they then accuse me of having a mod in the pre game lobby afterwards

when i use the FAL i tap it twice then once just in case they dont die and if they dont die then fire the rest. Have a Magnum as a back-up had a nasty kill-cam just the other day where i killed a guy another guy popped up switch to magnum and blasted him
