  1. "I have some funny ideas and some serious ideas of the run down on this map.

Sub Level 6 was where the testing was done correct? However, they couldn't have been working on zombies because the zombies came after Atlas' "pet" escaped. According to Oz or Malkovich, the platoons were sent to take care of the escaped pet. Assuming that this term "pet" is a metaphor for the infection which I believe was being used on the appropriately named infected zombies or for those who like word play, Nova Zombies. They obviously infect you and once you die you become one of them. Assuming that the zombies aren't the infection but the actual smoke or manticore is, this means that what was being worked on in Sub Level 6 is related to manticore and humans. Maybe there was a miscalculation and the infected zombies became breeders for the regular zombies."

(I'm on my mobile, copy/paste makes life easier)

I agree with you on that point, the pet is obviously the virus.

The zombies on Riot didnt appear until manticore was released, meaning that Manticore caused the mutation.

Upon realising that, that specific strain of the manticore virus cause massive mutation I think the executives at Atlas saw a potential use as a living bio-weapon (Not too different from the Umbrella corporation) and had specimins brought back for study and possible 'enhancement'.

This study and development led to mutations from the original zombies: The carriers(Infectious zombies), boomers(exploding ones. Yes I know that's a name from L4D), and regular zombies.

Their uses in battle are simple:

The 'carriers' spread the virus and produce more zombies to assault a target, 'boomers' are for use against light armour and regular zombies are for assaulting infantry. Now this is where EMZs come in, I think they are a delibaretly designed zombie for use against armour. In the year 2055 vehicles seem incredibly reliant on electricity, and since I don't know if they have redundant systems in place incase of EM attack so I'll just assume they don't. An EMZ would force a crew to leave their vehicle due to it being inoperable, thus opening them up for either death or infection.

If I use the above theory, it leads me to think that this 'Outbreak' was organised by Atlas to test the efficientcy of their virus.

Any losses are deemed acceptable as the data gained would give them masses of imformation that they can use to refine the virus.

"In the end of the game you will be able to hear multiple voice overs and conversations between the female voice and what seems like a helicopter operator's voice. Sometimes the operator will say, "Have all the objectives been met?" The bitch will respond, "No, bring them back for more testing." I got that voice clip even after I did the EE on solo."

Carrying on using my above theory, the 'subjects' would be the infected personnel.

Their 'objectives' being related to overrunning the workforce and any resistance.

    What are your thoughts Drvonstool?

  2. I guess I'll be the first to have a crack at answering your questions:

    1. Presumably they're the only surviving group of survivors who actually lasted long enough to call for a rescue and thus warrant interest into how they survived.

    2. I don't know who she is yet. I think she's monitoring what's happening using the satellite, OR she's circling the area in a plane. I mention the plane because if you do the Easter egg you can see a plane overhead. (I won't spoil how you see it but it's obvious).

Going by my previous answer I think she's a high ranking Atlas employee.

    3. The report says "3 platoons were sent in, 2 came back in body bags" this means that 2 full platoons of soldiers exterminated that horde. Gideon's whereabouts are unknown but I think he's alive, simply because it's Gideon and he has an LMG.

I assume the player character and the pilot survive because the moment the pilot saw the zombies jump he would likely start gaining altitude to avoid them.

    4. I don't believe Sentinel know about it, the break out on Riot was contained and all evidence was probably destroyed.

If we go off of the campaign, it wasn't Gideon who died as he began working for Sentinel before the DNa bomb was used, leading me to believe that this diverges from the campaign before the death of Hades.

It leaves a large hole in what we know but it's what I can come up with.

Also before Gideon joined Sentinel, they were only monitoring Atlas and thus would know very little of their research, especially of the DNA bomb.

These are all just my thoughts though so I'm probably wrong.
