That's a great question, and why I still can't get fully behind the idea either.

Creative idea my friend, I appreciate the outside the box thinking; but I sadly think this one isn't going to bear fruit.

Make no mistake, Reznov is dead. Corvus itself, however, is the combination of the consciousness of many people. His thoughts and ideology would have been uploaded into the program, if this were to be true. It had to start with someone. My best assumption is that he was captured rather than killed in Vorkuta, and in turn placed directly into the program/machine. According to Black Ops 1 Intel on the terminal, they knew Reznov brainwashed Mason. The CIA likely wanted his talents. No, he doesn't have a human form any more... but being the first consciousness uploaded somehow gave him control over the program and the other thoughts that make up the AI.

Reznov is no longer alive like a regular person.. but at the same time, he's alive in the form of the AI hive mind Corvus. It's said in the final mission... "Corvus has found a way to give people life after death".

How would the CIA have been able to do that with 1960's technology?

  3. I am enjoying The Giant greatly myself, I started playing Zombies with BO1 but always loved Der Reise once I got the chance to play it, it was always my favorite map and I specifically went out and purchased the WaW map packs so I could play the original; I love SoE as well but The Giant is great for some more laid back zombie killing and easy high rounds; and is a great nostalgia trip.

  4. So, there was a recent data dump that revealed that an upgraded form of the shield, called the "Goddard Apparatus"; and now someone has figured out how to actually upgrade it; confirming that this is legit.

It seems that what you have to do is use the Rocket Shield on zombies and get 10+ kills in twelve consecutive bursts, or a perfect game of bowling basically. You'll hear a bowling pin sound if it you get it right, and if you don't you have to start over again.

1 - Is there an official date? Or any confirmation of December? (Sorry cant see the video currently)  the only reason I ask is because I'm thinking this wont happen until 2016 Q1 & I remember coming across a UK site that indicated January.

2 - In terms of how backward compatibility would work, I'm presuming the discs were no longer needed as the original implementation or concept was working around detecting if you had the game & downloading you a digital copy.

As someone who never played all bo1 maps and as recent as a few months ago invested in all of the DLC while waiting for Bo3 to be released this is news has me very stoked! cant wait! I may finally have people to finish start moon with!

If you don't own the game digitially then you will need a disc

Yeah, I believe there's also a quote from Dempsey that mentions something similar. I can't remember the exact quote, but it went along the lines of "This place has changed since we were last here." Definitely strange.

Yeah, the original O4 are definitely seeping into the new O4, which is causing these personality changes.

how is it easier than literally "pushing x" ?  like if i didn't check this site or watch youtube videos i simply wouldn't even know Nero's room existed.  I mean some of the Mob of the dead parts i probably could have figured out, but the learning curve is just so damn high that its not even fun to play without playing with people who are already experts at the map.  that'[s the problem

The learning curve isn't that steep, and once you know what to do it's pretty easy to do it, especially since PaP permanantly stays open once you are done.

well this is just simply false.   Maybe once you have memorized the locations of all the secret items, and what not it isn't necessarily a lot "harder" but tell that to my friend lovingly known as "Noobtar" who can't seem to stay alive trying to avoid the keepers while performing a ritual, but he has no problem linking 3 teleporters in der riese, or standing on a tile to open Pap in shangri la, etc.

So yeah, doing the rituals for casual players of the game I imagine is a humongous pain in the ass and probably has prevented many from playing more on SoE

Well I mean, I can see why it may be hard for some, but I don't really find it any harder then building the plane or powering the generators; and definitely easier then the latter.
