  2. To all members, guests and staff, a very Happy New Year. 2015 is going to be a very good year for CoDZ, We have many things lined up and the new site design is looking fantastic, we have AW zombies, Treyarch zombies this year so we expect to be fairly busy and we are looking forward to the challenges ahead. All the very best Craig AKA Hells Warrrior
  3. Hey Folk's, We've added a new service to the hosting package, doesn't cost anything extra apart from a one time fee. However, what it basically does it speed up page loads for the site as a whole and helps with server resources. For instance, if we have 10,000 page requests for this page, that's 10,000 requests. With the caching system installed, one person calls this page and it caches it, then the other 9,999 requests are requesting the cached page. This should "dramatically" improve speed and performance, so hopefully page loads are that little bit quicker.
  4. So on tapatalk the like button supplies brains? That might be true as the actual brains system is using the built in reputation system with slight modifcations - tapatalk might be displaying this as it is intended on mobile devices and not display the like button we recently added. They are both the same but work differently - I'll have a look into it, might be the case that I can do nothing about it.
  5. Welcome aboard and intro medal added as requested
  6. Links, sorry bud I need to fix them., go to all leaderboards instead. The other links are needing corrected.
  7. Happy Christmas everyone.

  8. It'ssssssssss Christmas

  9. The actual engine is basically like a card engine. If you want to drive the road, you need to have an engine, how fast you go depends on how many cylinders that engine, has, what horse power it can output, whether it's diesel or petrol. Other factors also play a part. The older the car, the more work will be required to be performed to make the car work the way you want it too work. With a game engine, the same principle applies, but the engine controls lighting, effects, flame throwers, jumps, hits, etc etc. You can only patch an engine so much before the limitations of the engine source code are requiring a complete and total rewrite (in the sense of a car, it needs to be taken to the scrapyard). You then buy a new car or in the sense of a game engine, you buy a new game engine or you code one from scratch and make it work the way you need it to work - rather than botching it together to get it to do what you need it to do.
  10. I'm currently attempting an alternative way of converting the data from vBulletin to IPB forum software. When we previously did this, we had already converted from PHPBB to IPB and then converted vBulletin info over to IPB. This caused the issue of guest usernames on the vBulletin recovered information, it's not an easy task to basically convert two forum software details into one forum system (especially an active one). So What I'm currently attempting on a test enviroment, is a fresh install of IPB forum software (what we are using now) and converting the vBulletin information over. This will work flawlessly, what I'm then going to do, is converge (merge) the current forum (database copy, not the live site) into the converted vBulletin / IPB forum. What this should do (in theory) is merge everything that is similar. I have already started and I' currently convering over 200k posts, it's almost done and then I'll be able to import the copy of the current database and see if it merges correctly. I'll let you all know how it goes.
  11. Welcome aboard, always nice to see new members, we have a lot to offer to any questions just ask.
  12. The biggest concern I have, is the engine. They say it's a new engine but it's not really, still the same old engine with a few tweaks. They should be using the engine that Bungie created from scratch for Destiny, I don't know if Bungie own it or if Activision own it but the engine should be replacing the previous outdated and patched engine.
  13. @ I'll need to get a guide put together for NML (video wise) breaking it down into sections. How to start When to use grenades When to move to the teleporter, when to pap when to jugg etc I've never mastered NML and I want to give it more of a shot tbh, but I have my reasons for guides
  14. It's a pipe dreeam but it's not necessarily that far fetched. They included WaW maps on Black Ops, they didn't offer anything additional on Black Ops II. Pretty much everyone will be on current gen consoles now (with the exception of a few). I think Treyarch want to include them, I think they want them to be remastered and I think that they want to do them they way they had intended for them to be done in the first place. New engine, without the sam limitations they had, Tranzit was huge and if everything is correct - it was reduced in size weeks/days before release as it was crashing. I think Treyarch have very high aspirations and I think they want to offer what they had intended to offer and fixing lobbies/glitches into the bargain. I would pay for them again, why? Because if I want to play zombies I can switch on one console and select what game I want to play, it also breeds new life into games which are 6, 4 & 2 years old.
  15. Welcome aboard bud, chatroom accessed is restricted to members, although you had registered you probably still existed as a "New Member". After 5 posts you become a member and chatroom access is granted. Any questions just ask, you have joined at a stage when things are spicing up a bit with exo zombies and the build up to Treyarchs next game - oh the hype.
  16. We'll sort out something for tonight bud, got loads of spare time (just don't tell the wife) will be after 9 / 10 if that's cool. could be earlier need to wait and see.
  17. @DeathBringerZen - Most definitely bud, when do you fancy getting in some action? I've got 16 days and counting for anything, any hour. Kids can fend for themselves if it's a late one
  18. The leaderboards is now available for everyone to submit personal round or co-op round achievements. Please have a read of the rules Pretty simple really, anyone can submit a high round, a high round does not mean it needs to be above 70. It just needs to be your own high personal high round or a co-op high round. Any high round above 70 will require video proof (full gameplay to be submitted). Pretty straight forward to be honest, any questions or problems, please let us know. It's not a world records database but a round achievement database, high rounds we accept with the relevant proof being required.
  19. To be honest, I've thinking about this, I think what we might do is require screen capture of you're leaderboard to prove what round you have achieved. This isn't going to be something that needs to have "video proof" for everything. However, if you are claiming a high round, I think what @ has aid makes sense. Definitely, at the end of the day it's a leaderboard for CoDz and not everybody has access to a capture card. So claiming a round should be easy for them, the database doesn't care whether that round is legit or not and to be honest if you have cheated to get a round 70, it's not really worthwhile submitting it. I think image proof upto a certain round should be fine, then video proof for anything above it with full gameplay will be a necessity. Fastest easter egg completions, speed runs etc will require video footage of the claimed round. At the moment, I don't play solo, I play everything co-op because I prefer to play as a team but just to get on the leadeboards, I would play solo as well. I might even create fields within your profile that can highlight your rounds. I hope to get it up and running in a few days but we have just been really busy with our personal lives and with other projects that we are working on. More news will follow very soon.
  20. You probably all know that we do a lot of stuff in the background and try and bring you some good stuff. We are working on a few projects (one pretty big one) and I can tell you it's looking rather nifty.

I know your behind the scenes shenanigans: Sex, drugs and rock and roll. That's what the staff does. :P

  21. I'm up for that with some co-op gameplay bud.
  22. Hey All, OK. So the world records database was causing a little bit of misunderstanding. The staff have been having a chat for the past few days and we have decided that the world records database is not proceeding in it's current format. We will be going ahead instead with a CoDz Leaderboard, this will only be available to CoDz members, you need to have registered to be able to submit anything to it. It will not be accessible publicly, so this means guests or validating members. It won't even be available to the "New Members" usergroup (at least I think this might be the best way). Without going into the details of what was discussed and why it isn't happening we just feel we should continue to do our own things and what we are good at. We don't have anything against anyone or any website. We just have a vision on where CoDz is going and what we would like to introduce to our members. The crunch being "our members" - the services and features we offer will be for our members and our members only. You don't need to pay to be a member, we don't ask for cash for member status (although we welcome donations towards server costs). So basically, the CoDz leaerboard will be for our members to submit their co-op / solo rounds, we'll even add speedruns and fastest easter egg completion sections and whatever we think would be relevant. We'll relook over the rules and what constitutes fairness for being submitted. Obviously certain things won't be allowed, but why not check out how you compare with fellow members on different game modes for call of duty zombies. Gives you bragging rights on the forums So from me personally, apologies to everyone for any hassle or confusion. What we are going to do, is basically what we had discussed many moons ago (in fact you'll see leaderboards available on the frontpage). So it's not something new we are doing, just making what we have better utilized within the CoDz membership. We'll even see about the design of the database and see if we can jazz it up a little. Thanks for you're understanding folk's, we'll iron out the details about how we are doing this for our members shortly and let you all know.

    Astronaut?

It's within the designed game mechanics, Treyarch introduced the astronaut, the tunnels and the excavators. Whether they overlooked the fact that he could be trapped or whether they knew he could be trapped is a different question. However, here is the most important factor in the whole equation, it has never been patched. Irrespective, it is part of the game mechanics, it's not like your are entering part of the game that you shouldn't be (i.e. wall glitching). Logic dictates that it is not glitching.
