  1. Keep an eye on the YouAlwaysWin Youtube channel at 6pm GMT for the UGX Requiem reveal. Quite possibly the greatest custom map and mod ever made for WaW zombies!

  2. Yeah, very excited to hear what he has to say. I never doubted for a minute that zombies would return, and this news seems to confirm it. Won't be expecting much of a reveal on the game modes future at the convention though, but maybe some insight in to what we can expect will do me just fine.
  3. If anyone can help you with a good strategy for NML on CoDZ, it's Chopper. He is the highest ranked out of anyone on here I believe with 360 kills and is ranked joint 10th on Zombie Records for it. http://zombierecords.net/no-mans-land/ I had 178 kills on my old account but have failed to get close to it with my DBZ account. Not touched zombies in months myself though but when I was playing NML I was getting lucky enough with my spawn rates etc but was failing to get the M&S within the desired time frame and so would peak around 90 kills and would end up killing myself with the M&S trying hard to get more kills quickly. Either way, Chopper is the man to help you learn the best strategies.
  4. Although I am very "old school" when it comes to zombies, and I do consider Der Riese to be one of my personal favourite maps, I have to say... I absolutely HATE the Wunderwaffe! Not sure why I hate it but I do. It is my second least fav WW of them all, with the Winter's Howl being my least fav. I admit I do prefer zombies to be like the WW/BO1 maps but I embraced the changes that came with BO2. Buildables were not necessarily a bad idea and although they started off poor in Tranzit, they improved as time went on. The ones on Buried were decent but they put too many in and it made the map OP. Die Rise, MotD and Origins had a better balance when it came to buildables. My main issues with BO2 were more down to things like the storyline and direction, the poor choice of locations and themes for some maps and the fact that they dumbed the zombies down (to appeal to a wider audience no doubt) making it too easy. Getting to round 60 on my first solo run on Buried is ridiculous and ruined that map completely for me. Same with MotD. Did one attempt at a high round and got to 67. Never tried again. It became more time based than skill based when playing. Not sure what party that puts me in? I would be happy to consider myself as a 3rd party candidate for The Monster Raving Loony Party. For our friends outside of the UK... Yes! They are a real party! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Official_Monster_Raving_Loony_Party

no it's cool, we just added it a couple days ago. Used to be just Sledgehammer, so you're right in being concerned! :D

  6. Same. I would have zero hesitation in buying the maps again. ALL of them! Especially it meant I had all the maps on one console.
  7. As far as I remember, most MP fans were not overly bothered but I would put that down to the fact that there was no season pass then so DLC 4 was more like a bonus DLC. Maybe they will give us it as a bonus DLC, but I expect it to be micro transactions if anything. More profitable for them that way.
  8. Activision will never allow zombies to seperate from the main CoD franchise as it would decrease sales in the main franchise. Most of the DLC sales for Treyarch's titles comes from the zombie community and to seperate the game-mode would damage their flagship series, so I can't see it happening anytime soon. Then we come to the old maps returning... It will be unlikely that we will see all the maps return as they would all need to be remake from scratch to work on this new Radiant engine they are using and it is a lot of maps to work on to be honest so I don't see it happening. The only reason it could happen though is that Activision will be wanting as many users to upgrade to next gen as possible and the dedicated zombie community will be hesitant to leave their beloved consoles (and maps) behind, so maybe will will see some of them return, but again I doubt it. Advanced Warfare has shown us that there is still only going to be 4 DLC drops per title, so I expect the same with Treyarch's title next year and if that is the case then expect it to be similar to BO2... 4 MP maps and 1 zombie map. It would then come down to micro transactions for older maps and I only see that happening if they give the task to another studio due to the strict ATVI time constraints.
  9. The wind and ice staffs are permanently one hit kill with charged shots. They don't nerf at any point. Boom is right in his assessment (if you are looking to go to round 100+ on solo or 2P). Ice is best followed by wind then fire and finally lightning. If you plan on playing a round 40+ 4P game then they are all decent and all are still very effective.
  10. That's a tough one to call, but I am going to reserve judgement till I try this one wave of zombies in the Advanced Warfare Exo-Surival co-op mode first.
  11. For me it will always be the Galil & M&S. (Type 100 in WaW) I don't always run with Galil, like if I am going for a serious high round game as the best loadout is normally the usual suspects but when playing for fun I usually rock the Galil. It is powerful up until the 40's easily, and has a great ammo count. Decent points return on it also. Mustang & Sally is an absolute must for me though and I usually get them on every game I play (exception being Origins... where I rock the stinky Boomhilda instead ). Although great fun with PHD, they are actually very easy to run with on maps that don't have it and are pretty much a wonder weapon as far as I am concerned.
  12. Advanced Warfare Zombies! One full wave of "maybe" zombies... all for just $50/£40! Pre-Order NOW!

  13. Well, that is what he said, and he is a well known Dev, so I am only going by what he said. It takes a long time for pre-production, what with planning, research, concept ideas, story development etc. Maybe he was talking about the actual programming side. I did say initially that I always assumed they went straight to work on their next title when a game launches, but let's not forget all the things that get done last minute to DLC. They obviously still need to be on hand to develop or change DLC if required, so maybe he didn't get involved in the next title until after DLC drops. He discussed DLC and said that intially Buried was going to be set underground in New York but they changed that last minute. Then let's not forget Moon changing last minute also.
  14. A dev told me this in a forum chat. It might only have been his department. It makes sense though, as before the 3 year cycle came into effect, they only had just over 1 year to develop their next time, so depite a 3 year cycle being introduced, it only gives them an additional year, meaning just over 2 instead of just over 1 year.
  15. The production for Treyarch's next Call of Duty title went into production 1 months after Black Ops 2's Apocolypse DLC was dropped. I actually assumed it was earlier that that to be honest but a Dev confirmed they got a 1 month holiday before getting straight back into the next title. At this point, check lists will only be good for DLC. Most of the stock games features will already have passed the drawing board stages and will be heavily into production.
  16. Pretty sure the wave gun or zapps have no effect of the astronaut, so might have just been that he had been in too long or derped out for a brief second and popped. Again, I would consider it and engine or programming error that something unique or interesting to note.
  17. I don't plan on upgrading to an xbox one until the release of CoD 2015, and even then it will be dependant on my friends upgrading also. I was completely convinced that CoD 2015 would be next gen only but the current gen of consoles market is still far too large and strong, so alas I expect Treyarch's title to definitely be on the PS3/360 now. If that is the case, then expect zombies and the maps to not be too dissimilar to the ones features in BO2 in terms of size and of course, limitations.
  18. I think Reaper must be talking about the Spaceman blowing up. I don't see anyone shoot him or QED him, so probably that. I would put it down to the engine being, well... dated.
  19. Are you kidding me? Glad I have never ran into you in a public lobby then. Why is it so important? Variety is the spice of life as they say... mix your game up a little now and again and it keeps it fresh. To demand a certain staff and then act like a baby if you don't get your way is the sign of a poor team-mate if you ask me. I get what you are saying about sorting it all out early though, but I would never leave a lobby bases on staff choices. Hell, I would happily run the map without a staff if it came to it. It's not a make or break issue to me really.
  20. True, but there is no mention of it in-game... at all! Maybe the devs originally intended on making a Mars map, much like Moon was going to be Paris and the changed it before it actually released and that is why the PC files still contained old references. Same way zm_paris is actually files for Moon.
  21. If my theory was correct, and you travel back in time when you hit the dials and you go to a period when Shangri La was on Mars, it could be millions of years back when Mars was not a burned out planet. Scientists have suggested that at one point in time Mars had an atmosphere and could have possibly contained life. This could be where the Vril Ya came from... Mars. Maybe in the planets final days they relocated to Earth. Just a thought. It would certainly have a better reasoning that having an artificial dome containing an evironment fit for humans... especially when said dome is never hinted or mentioned in any radios or hidden messages. Then again, neither is Mars.
  22. My thought on it all was that Shangri La is currently set on Earth, but when we hit the dials and travel back in time we are possibly travelling to a time when the same area was actually on Mars as opposed to Earth. This is why the radios can be found... Brock and Gary also activated the dials and then travelled back in time to the point when Shangri La was on Mars. We see in the loading screen that massive chunks of the area are being lifted up, possibly a whole portion of the map was teleported/transferred to Earth by the Vril, but the dials are used as a kind of gateway to send them back and forth between the two locations. That would also explain why they needed to take the area in question and put it on Earth... so it could work as some kind of stargate. As it is by default, I don't believe that Shangri La is on Mars, but when we do activate the switches it is a strong possibility.
  23. Same. I have all the steps to every EE on all maps memorized, so in a coop 4 player game I just run around hitting the switches as I pass them and do the upgrading steps mid-round as it is easy enough. I am not a pianist though, but I do play guitar pretty well. Definitely a great spamming tool though in coop and truth be told, it is probably the best coop staff up until round 40. After that it becomes a holding tool while camping. Shoot the floor with a charged blast and it will hold the zombies in place while the others take them down. Not the trashy weapon it is deemed, but not for those who run high rounds on solo.
  24. Agreed! I usually just take what's left after others debate it out, and that is almost always lightning. Thing is, as the poorest staff of them all for solo high round runs, it is actually one of the best staff to run with in a 4 player game as it has the highest ammo count, and is pretty effective as a spamming tool right up until round 40, which most 4 player games never go past.
  25. Because they are dirty scumbags! Nah, but it definitely went well with Grief, and although I agree it is OP alongside M&S, it definitely does not make a player automatically invincible. I don't remember people strolling through the BO1 maps (that had PHD) that easily. It can get you out of a jam, but sometimes you cannot switch over to them quick enough to save yourself from said jam, and people didn't always run with them in their hands. That being said... I think MotD was a map that didn't really need PHD... what with Electric Cherry and the shield.
