  11. World at War has always been the true story for me. Tank Dempsey was the leader of a group sent into Verrückt to rescue the "playable characters" that we're stuck inside. The Black Ops versions only feature - - Comic Book loading Screens - Nacht Der Untoten has an additional secret song - Verrückt has an additional secret song - Shi No Numa has a radio that explains time travelling to far into the future, it's nearly the same as the Call of Dead audio. Apart from the characters, that is the only differences. EDIT - And the weapons were Cold War Era - when Moon & the 'Classic Map Pack' was released, Mule Kick was added to all maps
  12. I still don't believe these are written by Richtofen, Takeo, Dempsey & Nikolai. There really isn't anything confirming this. If these letters are written by the characters, then Treyarch can change their evidence for what is the story at any time. Brains to you ETEI2NAL, that was a great explanation which reminded me of this - This piece of intel is something that I've always thought was crucial to the Zombies story & something so well hidden in the game. Though it's very vague, it's everything to do with the Zombie story - Die Glocke & the Wunderwaffe Program. Project Nova Intel Read point 6. carefully. "Mirrored device that allowed the viewing of images from the past" All these dates circa World War 1 made me remember a comment I made from an idea that was given to me from FatedTitan's - Ghost of Alcatraz Thread This may all be coming together!
  14. Once again, MixMasterNut shows me something I didn't know about. Being that the letters are imprinted within the film reel on Kino, this swayed me more towards it referring to Delgado, though, Josh Olin worked for Treyarch from January 2008 – September 2011 (3 years 9 months) & also has his (COD) game credits as;- - Call of Duty: Black Ops II (9 months) - Call of Duty: Black Ops - Call of Duty: World at War So maybe this one slid into the early development of the game? I've always leaned towards Delgado though. I completely forgot about the Astronaut Zombie showing that name. I came across your name on many posts about the "JD" writing too nayrc. haha
  15. I actually wouldn't be too disappointed in some backstory prequel type map. Remember in Verruckt & Shi No Numa we were hinted at the Tunguska event. Mob of the Dead showed us that Zombies were present prior to the dates that we knew before. What events happened between 1908 (Tunguska) & 1933 (Mob of the Dead)? It will be interesting to see how Treyarch include this if we get some story between these dates. Tunguska - June 30, 1908 Buried Loading Screen (possible date) - 1915 Letter #1 - September 22, 1917 Letter #1 - October 6, 1917 Mob of the Dead Loading Screen - Oct 17, 1917 It won't be long before letter 3 & 4 are posted too. Also, if someone tries hard enough, I think you can make out a few words that are inked into the 2nd letter.
  16. Brains to you Mr Shooter. I'm glad your still lurking around & decided to post these threads that you have written. I was fortunate enough to stumble across this draft when you posted in the introduction section. This is the type of story/research that I'm fully into. Realising that the World at War & Black Ops storyline was pretty much following real world events & conspiracies. You research a little bit of the Zombie Story & learn about so much more! As you said, you start out with something that's really interesting & related, and you end up so deep within it that you can't find or remember where you started! I'm quite confused & a little disappointed in the Black Ops II story not following suite of the previous 2 games, but how can they write a story that resembles a real world apocalypse? Who would of thought, that Tranzit had probably the most storyline within it. I feel that they just lost their way a little, from using the people at Jackass Flats in the TV transmission. Why did they include such things as Groomlake, Nuketown, The Green Run Project & Jackass Flats, all of these Nuclear influences, just to not build or explain it fully & then use China & Africa? Using these Nuclear Locations just seemed to build on the overall story of "The Der Riese Massacre", Operation Paperclip & the backstory of the Uranium Club. I really thought this would be the progressing storyline. Glad to see you still putting lots of time & effort into this website & let's hope that the Group 935 logo seen on the Buried loading screen has some great story like this thread behind it.   18. Buried is by far the easiest Solo map there has ever been. This is proved by me being able to get to round 50. My previous highest solo run (on other maps) was only in the low 30's. I can now get to round 50 everything I play Buried, with possibly only 1 or no downs. I buy the LSAT every game, turn power on, buy Mule kick, let the Big Guy out, get 30,000 to 40,000 out of the bank then get the Big Guy to keep the box at its original spawn, hit the box for either the Ray Gun MkII or Paralyzer & Monkey Bombs. Open everything & buy Jugg, Speed Cola & Vulture-Aid. Go for a run through the Ghost house & collect the free perk & Pack-a-Punch my weapons. Every 5 or so rounds do another run through the ghost house to get all my perks. Lately I've been using only Mustang & Sally until round 25-30 to get my granade kills up. I only build the resonator, turbine & head chopper. Sometimes I dont even worry about the head chopper. Camp on the Jugg hallway & after round 35 if the Paralyzer overheats, just stand in the Vulture-aid green must to cool down or I I get over run I drop my turbine down & let the resonator do the work. Set up the resonator & Turbine at the workbench above Jugg & in the bar. If you want to go higher, set up the turbine on the upper level of the overhang opposite the Gunsmith debri (where you can drop down into the bank) train your hoard outside of the bar & use the resonator to take the whole hoard out. Watch a "5and5" YouTube video. If you've made it to round 50, I think thats pretty good.

In the maps Der Riese & Kino der Toten, the letters "JD" appear multiple times written on the walls. Sadly, the blog intel posts have been taken down recently. Josh Olin left Treyarch (I think) around September 2011.   20. Der Riese did have a comic book page. All the World at War maps (Classic Maps) on Black Ops 1 had comic book loading screens. World at War Loading Screen Black Ops Loading Screen Buried Loading Screen The hint on the Buried loading screen is not Der Riese, the only similarity is that it looks to be a blueprint like the World at War loading screen was. As Flammen said, there is also another page between these two, that hint may not even be the next map?

  22. I was going to mention this. I thought I had the green flash when I collected a Ka-Boom (Nuke) & I believe that I had collected every power-up that game. I agree with you on that.

  24. The thread is coming along nicely. Well done. Just an idea about the formatting. Could you make each title to stand out a bit more. It's a little hard to read. However you think is best. example Quick Revive Persistent Upgrade How to obtain: Pick up people over and over again. Once you have picked someone up enough times, a green light will appear around your body. This can take around 10-15 revives. What does it do?: This will pick up people at the speed of a Quick Revive. THIS CAN STACK WITH QUICK REVIVE. How to lose: Either fail to pick someone up, go down to often, or stop picking up someone then stopping mid revive. Some of my observations - Flopper Persistent Upgrade How to loose - Take fall damage without "flopping" Mystery Box Persistent Upgrade - How to loose - Lost 10 Rounds after acquiring it. I agree. I've been making the Big Guy keep the box at the original spawn on buried, getting the Teddy bear on round 1 & at the end if round 10 I hear the loosing sound. Everything Half Off (working title) Persistent Upgrade - How to loose - don't acquire "X" amount of points during X2 Once obtained, you keep this upgrade for the next Double Points, as long as you keep making "X" amount of points, you will always retain this. It's only lost if you don't acquire the set number of points for the following X2. It's so hard to figure out the exact amount of points required because the green flash doesn't happen until the end of double points. (I need to go through my theatre because I have countless occasions where I have obtained this) Cash Back Persistent Upgrade How to loose - if you have this upgrade & don't go prone every time you buy a perk - Gone I first acquired this by playing Tranzit & buying quick revive then restarting. It only took Between 4 & 6 buys. The one time I did not go prone when I bought a perk, it was lost. I have not been able to regain this since. Other persistent upgrades (Green flashes) I have seen & need further investigation. EMP Granade - saw the green flash in Tranzit ages ago when another player threw an EMP. I think it occurred after 2 or 3 consecutive rounds of him putting zombies "to sleep". I have only seen & heard of this in that game. (I think I was playing with InfestLithium as well) Frag Granade & Monkey Bomb Kills/usage - Saw this in the last few games of Buried. I've been trying to rack up my grande kills & saw the green flash after multiple Granade Kills/usage. I also think I got the green flash after throwing a monkey bomb? My last few games I've made round 40, 50 & 60, it's its hard to find them in theatre. Speed Reload - have noticed this on 2 or 3 occasions. Uncertain of criteria. Buildables - I have seen this on maybe 3 occasions. I think it occurs when all you do is collect parts & build them at the workbenches. Dont know exactly. Green flash happens after you have assembled the part. Not sure of the feature either. Good job on the list!
  25. Peacekeeper Pack-A-Punched ---> "The Rambo" I've always wanted them to add in a proper mountable turret or be able to use the deployable browning & whatever else there was in World at War. I think there was only 1 spot in Verruckt that you could use the feature? I'm not sure if this was actually patched out of the game? And the fountain in the middle courtyard of Verrückt actually has a mountable gun underneath it, even though its in a non-playable area. I've always wondered why they never brought this type of weapon into the game for other maps? Sure you have the turret traps in Kino & Ascension, but why can't we have a mountable gun in which we try to hold down an area? Zombies started as a border defense game. It would make for some great challenges.
