  1. Sorry, I didn't mean to say that Syndicate or people who train are bad. I mean Syndicate is pretty good at video games and training does require a certain skill set. What I was really alluding to was that the ease of training does really even feel like you're playing zombies. All you really have to do is learn how to be coordinated enough to use the joysticks. I don't get why people say that George is good because he prevents camping. Sorry but camping in zombies and camping in multiplayer are two different things. Camping in zombies takes a certain skill set. Knowing when to reload, when to bail out of the place you're in, etc. If you're coordinated enough to use the joysticks, training is probably the most simple thing in zombies. I can train for hours on end without killing them lol

And yes, something was definitely lacking in the BO maps compared to the WaW maps. In my opinion, the Nazi levels (Der Riese, Verruckt, Kino (originally supposed to be a WaW map), and Nacht) are fantastic. It just had a spooky, Nazi 1940's look and feel to them. While the other ones were lacking in that they tried to make up for it by adding in Left for Dead elements.

My advice to Treyarch devs? Leave out the special zombies, make zombies spawn outside, make it a barrier defense game again, and play lots and lots of Verruckt and Nacht and get inspired by that.

  2. You know, the same style as Verruckt and Nacht. Not something where they spawn in from where you are but instead you're trapped in a building and your goal is to keep the zombies OUT. Black Ops was all too much "let the zombies in and run in a circle until you have 24 zombies then blow them away with the thundergun, scavenger, etc." Sorry but that rape train thing that syndicate does is for people who are bad at the game that want to get to high rounds. I miss the days of playing Nacht with 3 of my buddies and getting to round 20 actually meant something. Now I can just play any map and spin in a circle like a ballerina and get to whatever round I feel like.

Anyone else agree? I know my WaW zombie fans will.

  3. I think of any edition of COD that Treyarch makes that they include zombies in with the game then the WaW should always be playable. They just have a classic feel to them. Even when I go and play zombies on Black Ops I'm always selecting Verruckt or Shi No Numa over crap maps like Call of the Dead.

  4. I find that a lot of people don't really like Ascension and their reason for not liking it is because they say the Lander thing is too easy to run trains on but at the same time these same people will say Der Reise is their favorite map. But if you play Der Reise there's two lander like trains you can make. One in below the catwalk and the other in front of the door that opens the catwalk. Plus monkeys are harder than dogs. So what gives?

  5. I find it "funny" that people are so obsessed with the box they won't open any doors, could care less about the power on to get perks, and will blow all their points on the box on round 4 because they want a ray gun so bad and once they get it they're going down every 3 seconds because they don't realize it's a smart idea to turn the power on first and grab jugg and phd and they scream that they have a ray gun and you NEED to revive them. If you're that hellbent on one shotting zombies on round 5 just grab the stakeout and spare everyone the annoyance lol

My solution? Always spawn the box when you first start the game in the power room. Verruckt, Ascension, Der Reise are all like this. I think that's a fair solution. Can't even play COTD or Shangri La online because people become zombies and follow the blue light and apparently enjoy going down 10 times before round 7.

  6. - idiots that are obsessed with the box. They hit it over and over again trying to get the ray gun or whatever wonder weapon the map holds. They refuse to open doors and just want to spend all of their points on the box once enough doors are open to get to the box. They could care less about turning on the power and getting perks. They go down 5+ times before round 7 because they're too busy fiddling with the box instead of SHOOTING zombies. They scream their head off once they get the ray gun but yet manage to go down within 30 seconds. I cannot stand these kids. If you are so hell bent on one shotting zombies on round 5 just buy the dang Stakeout.

    - When you get a nuke and you turn around and there are 24 zombies still chasing after you. They can hurt you buy any damage you inflict upon them does not count towards your points. Doesn't make sense. If they can hurt me I should be able to get points off of them still.

    - Players that quit the SECOND they go down. Just wait till someone even attempts to revive you or just be a man. You're not going to get any better quitting after every time you go down at round 8.

    - Zombies hitting you from 5 feet away. Don't know if this is due to lag or the terrible hit detection on the Black Ops engine. Something was definitely off on that game's mechanics.

    - How vulnerable you are without Jugg. In WaW I could deal without Jugg for a pretty good while but in Black Ops you almost need to get it immediately because of the abundance of double slapping going on.

Let me know what you think.

  7. I didnt like the napalm shriker zombies, but i think George Ramero was an acceptable addition.

there are only these 'special class' zombies on some certain maps, maps that were designed to be slightly more challenging than the others.

im positive that boss zombies wont be included in ALL the maps, but in some still.

Besides i would HATE it if all maps were the same. I loove it when -- and im sure mostly everyone else does too-- when Treyarch makes unique maps with certain aspects that are only available in that specific map. And thats ranging from wunderweapons, teleportation, special devices (gersh, black holes, monkey) AND specialty zombies. Usually the harder maps that include those boss type zombies have the better guns too ;)

plus boss zombies force players to think on their feet instead of just saying in the beginning "okay we're all going to pussy camp here until round six hundred and a million!"

its nice how they force you players to get pushed out of you comfort zone -_-

I just don't like special zombies because if I wanted that crap I could just put Left for Dead in my xbox.

  8. I resent your tone, sir.

Sorry, I wrote that really quick and didn't mean to offend anyone. I just like the WaW maps better and think they should go back to that "style." The last 3 maps were just very un-COD-Z like. If you disagree with me then that's fine but I didn't mean to offend you.

I didn't say camping took away from the game, all I ever do on ascension is camp. I was just saying that for some players, it is more fun to rush, while it's better to camp for others. I enjoy the diversity they've created, particualry with the last 3 maps.

I respect the fact that you are entitled to your opinion of the maps, but I'm just trying to think of the fanbase as a whole. Not everybody will like the same thing, that you can't change. Treyarch will never be able to please everybody, but at least they try with these new additions.

Ya, I can see what you mean. But hell, during the zombies panel the devs said they even liked the WaW maps better. I don't mean to offend anyone but if they keep adding in "boss" type things like the napalm, astronaut, and george then that just breaks what made COD-Z fun which was endless waves of zombies. Now if these new features they're talking about include something like an option to turn off George and the napalm and whatever new boss they put in then perfect. Don't really care about the leaderboards, just want to play zombies Nacht-Verruckt style.

  9. No offense but zombies already went down the shitter when they added george, napalm/shrieker, astronaut, and the hacker device. And ya, getting jugg every other time and you needed your whole team? Developers must have been playing too much Left for Dead when they were making those maps.

and to the guy above me, camping is what makes zombies exciting. I got addicted to zombies in NDU because the team was trying to hold the zombies from breaking in and guarding the windows and then when we were overwhelmed we would go into camping mode. MUCH HARDER to get further that way than running around in circles for hours on end and them blasting them away with whatever wonder weapon the map has. That's not fun nor does it take skill. Anybody who is coordinated enough to use the sticks can do that. That's why NDU and Verruckt are such brilliant maps. The last 3 maps didn't even feel like zombies. Now if we're talking about camping in MP, then ya I'd like to George to go after them lol

  10. I have played zombies for a long while, I take it you cannot read?

I was saying she's pretty girly still...we don't have any badass chicks yet, from my point of view.

    A word of advice:

Don't be so condescending to people regarding their reading skills when I've read three threads you've created/commented in today and your grammar and writing isn't as good as you think it is.

Also in another of your threads you copied someone else's ideas, changed the words around a little and made your own thread about it which, in my opinion was unnecessary.

Honestly, it was my fault. I didn't have my glasses on and kind of just glanced over what he wrote. Didn't see the part about SMG in COTD.

But seriously what is peoples fascination about having a female character?

  11. It would seem that treyarch is finally adding some personality to this sausage fest

No but really, its about time treyarch, atleast we know they are doing something with the singleplayer, its seen as they are working with motion capture on MALE and FEMALE bodies in order to have the smoothest movements for each character type...

so this brings us to zombies, and that poster....are we finally getting a female character??

I think that would be a GREAT break in the monotony right now, no seriously...it would be fun to play as a badass zombie slaying chick, and trust me...sarah michelle geller wasn't that badass, you need less of her girly quotes and more of seriousness added in there, I MEAN THIS WOMAN FIGHTS ZOMBIES!

    not pandas >.>

You didn't like SMG in Call of the Dead? LOL but seriously why are people so adamant about getting a female character? No offense, but what difference does it make lol

  12. Call of Duty has been 60FPS since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Possibly even before that) it's one of the main advertising points, the game is locked to a framerate of 60fps on Consoles, it very rarely drops below and never goes above.

Black Ops II is exactly the same, it's been said multiple times that 60fps is the reason CoD is a go to console shooter for so many people.

Ya, the other shooters don't have fluid movement and even using the controller is a challenge in itself. Wanna call me a noob because I said that? well listen to elpresador when he says, "Am I noob when I walk to my car in the morning fluidly?"

  13. See if they add too much people are going to have OCD about their stats. This OCD about stats has already ruined MP as we know it. Now if we add stuff like kills and average points per game and a ranking system, the game might become annoying. Does it annoy you when little kids come up to your window and steal your kills? It'll be 10x worse with MP features because they'll actually have a REASON to do it.

  14. Have you ever played Left 4 Dead?

Long story short: It sucks, especially compared to zombies in CoD. Not all that many people wanted it.

BUT, I just found out the image might be faked. The article is not, however.

I agree. Stuff like the astronaut, george, napalm, and shrieker remind me too much of L4D. Crap like that needs to GO.

  15. Hi guys I have been seeing massive comments about the whole 8 players in zombies thing. I read an article last night where david vonderhaar confirmed there will be multiple new game modes as well as the classic zombies. He said that there will be a mode for just 4 players zombies just like it was in W@W, and BO. So don't worry the 8 players zombies thing it will be separate they know what they are doing give them a little credit.

    Link?

  16. If people can put number of zombies down and put them on easy mode, then people getting to round 50 could be eligible to get to the highest group on this site.

Edited game modes probably would not appear on the leader boards.

This. Only the normal survival mode would appear. Custom stuff would be like Private Match in MP where it doesn't affect your KD or ranking up or XP or any of that.

  17. Well said, a levelling/stat tracking system would be so awesome!!!!

In theory, yes. But just like the combat record/elite stats causes people to play like little girls and camp, a zombie stat tracking mode will just cause people to act all competitively during a zombies match. You think you hate it now when people steal zombies at your window? Watch out if there's a stat tracking feature..

    - As you can see from this article, zombies will run off the MP engine meaning more zombies can spawn and more people can play in a game. "The fan-favourite mode will make a return, only this time it's running in the multiplayer engine. That means there will be a big upsurge in numbers when it comes to Black Ops 2's undead sub-game: the multiplayer engine can throw around twice as many shambling corpses at once, and it can handle a co-op tally double that of Black Ops 1's." Look on page 5 for this info.

    - Also, that leaked photo of the MP7 does in fact LOOK REAL. Look at the photo on page 2 of the guy playing MP. He's playing in the same level AND it has the same HUD.
