  1. We could still possibly get Fluffy as a true boss for all we know. Maybe she spawns once we link all 3 teleporters or randomly when we use a teleporter. And killing her while performing a specific task (melee only, taking no damage, etc) rewards an extra perk.
  2. In the trailer they (mainly Nikloai it seems) question his true self quite a bit, and there's no doubt they'll question his motives going forward in contrast to just blindly following him as they did in the past, even with their suspicions. I think it would be really great to see the inner turmoil with part of him feeling like he can't change who he'll become and the other part wanting to do some genuine good. I think this will be extremely important in future maps because in the latest livestream, Jason Blundell talked a few times about how they're doing a new narrative style with the characters talking and interacting with each other when in close proximity to one another, and this plays right into that. In the ensuing carnage of what will occur in The Giant, I'm sure Ricthofen's darker side will come out as he slaughters the undead and the others will react to that, plus Ricthofen himself. Also Mustache-tofen is a great name for him.
  3. So in the latest trailer for The Giant, we are treated to a few more quotes from all the characters including some from good ol' fashioned O4 Ricthofen (the evil one) that indicate that he will in some capacity appear a few more times in the map as he did not say them before his demise in the intro. But one quote in particular intrigues me. "What is left of you now? Nothing!" This quote is heard about 11 seconds into the trailer and it very clearly spoken by the now deceased Ricthofen, so how can that be? There is a chance that this is just radio messages played without the static, but because of what and how he says it, I believe he is speaking to his younger self. So somehow, be it either because of the now splintered timeline or some other supernatural means, it seems NO4 Ricthofen is now fighting for control of his mind with O4 Ricthofen. Will this get resolved in The Giant or will it be a pivotal plot point going forward? Only time will tell on that. In the mean time what are your thoughts on this new development?
  4. They should just have a separate custom game mode altogether with the private match setting set apart from that. I still don't understand why this was removed from BO2 completely. They had like 2 "custom" settings too, and the hellhound option on only the one survival map I believe. I would very much like to see them incorporate almost completely customizable games in zombies such as dictating every weapon in the map, zombies and special boss zombies. Maybe even specifying what spawns in on every round. Possibly even character customization/selection. Make it feel somewhat like what they have in multiplayer.
  5. If she is in the map, I can't wait to turn around a corner and see her and just go "Clever girl".
  6. Maybe it's closer to the bridge, that kind looks like its shadow in the top right.
  7. I can see myself wasting many hours trying to iron out the perfect weapon kit to suit my playstyle. What a genius way to basically incorporate Creat-a-class into zombies.
  8. Also can anyone work out where this is That is without a doubt from the catwalk.
  9. They are the iron cross symbols. And time does stop when Maxis and Sam are teleported, perhaps that has something to do with it. Time travel in Shangri La brought on an eclipse as I recall, so maybe the NO4 traveling here activated one too somehow. I think it's an indication of them being in a pocket universe, with teleportation being the only way out.
  10. I think evil Ricthofen as part of Group 935 still worked with the nazis to achieve his own ambitions, they're just not going to show it or outright state it anymore.
  11. I would argue that it's partially because I've seen a lot of people asking for certain maps back for years in every cod game. Maybe this isn't the right term for but I like to call them the "try hard" crowd. They want to be like the MLG pros and it's always the popular maps that make it into the MLG circuit and so they learn the ins and outs and everything else about said maps and want to carry that intimate knowledge of the layouts with them to future cod games. Activision and the developers probably thought they would take the opportunity to cut development time a little bit to just update older maps and maybe even put more focus on the new stuff during development. I personally wish remakes would just be included in free updates as they are stuff we've already bought before but oh well, they gotta make a profit somehow. In spite of their games being some of the highest selling of all time.
  12. I don't particularly want to see Hijacked come back because I'm not exaggerating when I say I probably played on that map 4 times out of every 10 matches throughout the course of BO2. But from a list of BO2 maps to return I know that one will be at the very top. I want to see something like Slums return with some redesigns to incorporate the new movement system, I think that could be a really good map.
  13. I was very confused by this shot as well, but it may be referencing Richtofen's descent into darkness? Like @Kill_All_Monkeys said, it may be showing NO4 Richtofen can't escape his fate (since it's NO4 Richtofen in O4 Richtofen's suit). Looks like it may be in an ending cutscene possibly too. That is old Richtofen still. He doesn't have a mustache and looks older. I wanna say that's just a different angle form when he was standing there before NO4 Ricthofen popped a cap in his face, but I'm pretty sure he was smiling the whole time up to that point. It really seems like either the EE itself will focus on or Ricthofen will be struggling with his evil self while trying to complete the EE. SoE is all about those 4 atoning for their sins so it woud be a nice little tie to this map (should that be a recurring theme for this game) if Ricthofen struggled with the same problems more or less here.
  14. Beyond hyped right now, this just skyrocketed to the top of my list of what to play first. And am I crazy, or did I some extra O4 Ricthofen quotes in there beyond what he said in the intro? And they bring up how NO4 Ricthofen can't escape his own darkness. Does he experience a personality split after killing his future self? What does this mean?! The potential with this story! Apart from being a remake, how was this not the leading zombie map for BO3?! This seems extremely relevant to the story and all kinds of epic. Can't wait to see what they have in store.
  15. Depends on when or how you get the codes with the copy of the game. I would imagine as soon as you have the games and codes then you can probably download them.
  16. Interesting what you say about prices in the US, here in the UK, if i look at Amazon for a physical copy of the standard game, im looking at £42, but for a digital version on the Xbone store im looking at £50 - £60. Now the only reason they do that is because they can and you're paying for the convenience of getting it without leaving your house, but it should cost less as you're not buying anything physical. That is interesting, because here they're the same price most of the time. Sometimes the digital version is cheaper even. It's not too consistent though.
  17. I always thought there was a chance Samantha was secretly evil due to her prolonged exposure to the Aether. I think I even predicted that as the big story twist for the last map in BO3 a few months back. It's still going to be in the back of my mind as I play each new map for this game.
  18. I knew I should've gotten the digital deluxe version. Whatever, this better be worth the money Treyarch.
  19. I'm just saying for bigger maps in general that aren't purely circular or have a clear cut path laid out (think MotD). Like I didn't need to call out where I was whenever I played Nacht with anybody.
  20. I haven't looked at any leaks yet, but based off the discussion from this thread, don't forget about how in the mp beta (and presumably the main game) the background menu would show whoever you selected as your specialist. Perhaps this is the same for which map you have chosen in zombies. Or possibly something even more interesting...
  21. It's a shame for last gen, it really is. But definitely great news for expecting better things out of the DLCs. They need to make the DLCs even more innovative and "boundary pushing" (for lack of a better term) to really sell the point that we need to all move on to current gen now. I bought my PS4 to play all the wonderful new things that current gen can play that last gen can't, and so far they have been few and far between. Hopefully that starts changing now.
  22. I wouldn't mind full digital, but they would have to drop the prices for it. That's how they should start the transition anyway, physical copies are $60 and digital are $50 (in the U.S.). I know all digital would just go back up to $60 since publishers have made it clear they want the price of games to be around $100 instead. Eliminating the costs for printing and distribution would even that out though I think, more or less.
  23. Having clear, distinct sections of the map makes it really easy to remember and identify where you are on the map and to others playing with you. It was kind of nice having everyone pick a section to go to on the map to hold down for training and what not too, and this was a little harder to pull off in the later maps as they were not built with too many training spots (though this presents a harder challenge which I particularly like, my nooby friends do not). I would love to see survival maps return, they were a nice bonus feature and more customization would be cool too. I would prefer if the other side game modes had their own unique little maps but I realize the development time required for this and am perfectly fine with portions from the bigger main maps cut out and edited a little bit. Helps with learning survival strategies anyway.
  24. Why don't they just put something into the game data that prevents anything in the game from being launched and unlock it as part of a day 1 patch? It would make day 1 patches less annoying in the name of preventing the problem of leaked copies, and I'm sure it could be an easy fix the unlock everything again. I'm not the most tech-savy person but this is certainly possible, right?
  25. always expect to be disapointed bro. If they surprise you it's hardly a bad thing. I guess they can't go so wrong... "And here we see how the only weapons on the map are the kar-98k, the SMR, and of course the fan favorite the EMP grenade... And of course, the new starting pistol when upgraded just becomes two baguettes with pipe-cleaners in them... And if you look here we wanted to add some challenges to the map, so we brought back George A Romero and covered all the major training areas of the map in Tranzit-esque fog. Only this time we listened to the fans and instead of the annoying denizens which were not well received, we just made it so when you step into the fog, all zombies become nova 6 phasers from moon. As far as perks go, you'll see we've teased the classic PHD flopper again, but again this is an easter egg. Maybe you'll get it when you complete the easter egg samantha instructs you through? Maybe not? But what you can expect to see is the return of doubletap 1.0, who's who, and a new perk called sticky substance which makes it impossible to throw grenades, although there is a bit of a glitch which causes the grenades to prime which we're looking into.... Furthermore partway through the map you'll find all the O4 character dialogue has been replaced with ah, just marelton's dialogue from tranzit. We should also mention that perks spawn in randomly similarly to nuketown zombies, however after spawning it, the box, the PAP, and now some doors can only be opened with a turbine powering it. Gumballs will be featured in this mode, but only three, the first one ah, turns your character gay. 100% gay.And he rubs it ALL over the place in your face and everything. And a necrophiliac so... Make love not war... The second is "godmode gum" which lasts about as long as juicyfruit's flavor, but allows you to walk through walls and not take hits, which is needed now to access certain parts of the map. Likewise the bank does return here, located in the spawn room, and the last gumball "Gold Gum" will cause your bank account to fill, allowing you to get the ultimate set-up by round 1 if you're lucky. I should mention that when you reach rank 30 on this map, by which ranking is map specific, so any amount of playing on any other map will not effect it, you need over 100 hours of gameplay on this map alone, you unlock the turned version of this map. There will also be a new form of greif mode where you will have nothing but EMP grenades and your pistols, are locked in the starting room, and have 5000 points to start with but only get 10 points each kill, the early start is to make it easy to PAP. Furthermore we'd like to announce that there's now a $0.99 app, for Iphone 6s devices only, which allows you to access the only other weapon in the game, the wonderwaff-proto which is like the WW, only every shot fired hits you and gives off an electric cherry type of shock to take out zombies on early rounds. Upgraded it still takes your jugg. but it lasts till round 13. We figured that's fair. The DLC will become available to all pre-orders on PS4 3 days after release, and for PC and Xbox on January 14th 2016, with it becoming available to all who own the game for a mere price of 4$ on January 16th 2016. Dear god. After writing that I feel I need to cleanse myself... I want to see this as an actual joke map. I really do. I especially loved the bit about zombies turning into the nova crawler phasers in the fog. That sounds like a good challenge to me. As per the leaks, it's tempting to see what's out there as I want to play this game so bad, but I took a peak for BO2 and it kind of ruined the experience for starting it up the first time for me so I'm going to refrain from doing so again. I want to experience everything Treyarch intended to be a surprise when first playing the game.
