  1. I haven't gotten to play it yet but just in case anyone cares, the download size of the Beta 12.34 GB for PS4. Plus an update file that seemed fairly small, so only an extra couple hundred MB's at best.
  2. So as some of you may or may not yet know, the Beta keys started rolling out early today. In the email, 3 keys were included to give 2 of them away to friends who haven't preordered yet. I just wanted to create a thread for anyone who has spare keys to give away for all consoles (though it's just Playstation 4 right now). I'm not sure if these are region locked or not but just in case, these two may be just for US, PS4: 89ET-MENA-TNFD FJG3-J3N5-PGR9
  3. I love the idea about having our own custom weapon in the box. Gives more meaning to the xp system. Also the idea about the perma-perk doubling your points while in the first room is brilliant. I hope to see something like that in the game.
  4. I will now be disappointed if this doesn't happen (not really but it would still be the best thing ever).
  5. Would be really funny if we found him all beat up in a scrap heap somewhere and we could interact with him just to hear him mouth off some hysterical quotes.
  6. Maybe it's just because we only get the SoE crew for this one map, and we'll probably get the NO4 for several other maps, thus more time being put into making them look better and more time being put into SoE to make it play better instead of focusing on graphics. Plus there's still a noticeable improvement so it looks fine in my eyes.
  7. I would like the classic box back, if anything at least for the epic return of zombies. I know we'll probably get it in The Giant but SoE is there big new map available to everyone with the game and will introduce zombies to a lot of new people and I think it's only right if their first box is the beloved original.
  8. The Panzer was a worthy adversary, what a boss zombie should be. Almost every time he showed up it ended up being a pretty tough but fun fight, especially with the staffs. And that's what I like, a challenging yet thrilling fight. And quite frankly, I'm very surprised no one has actually gone back and directly compared The Giant to Der Riese from the new intro. Granted, as stated above, even with the cut-scene I don't think the differences will be too drastic in-game. I believe the biggest difference will simply be the map being made a little bigger in size, maybe a few extra rooms, some redesigned aesthetics and that's it.
  9. Personally I won't ever use this because I don't like the idea of having double xp in zombies. I want to earn everything I can in zombies with my own blood, sweat and tears with absolutely no shortcuts. Nothing against other people using it, but I just don't think there should be shortcuts like that in zombies. Though I'm sure double xp will now carry over to zombies because of this when they do it with the regular multiplayer every so often.
  10. You can play without any updates on the PS4, you won't be able to play online but you can still play the game or at least whatever was downloaded.
  11. It's hard to tell in the pictures for blade 4, I can't tell if that is a different hilt or if something else behind the sword in the background and because of the blur looks like it's a part of the sword.
  12. There's a hardened edition that is nearly identical to the Nuketown edition of BO2, I got an email from GameStop about it.
  13. I don't think there will ever be a traditional campaign for zombies, as they talked about in the video themselves they didn't even have a story until the end of W@W and they described every zombie map that has come out across all 3 games as being one cohesive campaign in its own unique way and would continue to be for this game. To me that means it will be more of the same in that we get the story through the main maps.
  14. Eh, it's not a whole lot of time but 5 days can still provide quite a bit of data. I know I'm going to be getting this game anyway so at this point it's just a nice little preview for the game if anything.
  15. True, they didn't show any prompts pop up for the gumball machine either and I assume we would have to interact with that to get them. With all the weird cuts in the trailer there might normally be a prompt there and they just edited out for cinematic purposes.
  16. I think the bios are just cannon to the original timeline, which is an alternate timeline from the Origins ones. Though through the events of the BO1 maps I don't think the developers really started taking the bios into account. They were probably just there to serve as some sort of introduction/backstory to the O4 as these were completely new characters with pretty much no introduction in SNN.
  17. Trash-squid sounds like a good nickname for that 3 headed creature. But on a serious note, I can't believe no one has really picked up on this before. The player didn't appear to interact with the trashcan as he transformed but the lid was clearly removed once he entered this new afterlife mode. Maybe it's activated by proximity, like you have to interact with the fountains first and then once you get within range of these trashcans it activates the new mode. Great observation by him though.
  18. It downloads completely before release and unlocks at midnight EST time on the day of release.
  19. It should preload a day or two before the game releases. Unless you're referring to the space it will take up, which I understand. Though even the discs still install a massive amount of data on the hard drive anyway.
  20. Isn't that what the digital deluxe edition is? It comes with some weapon camos I think but I'm pretty sure it's really just the game and the season pass.
  21. I would just go slap down $5 for a preoder at Gametstop or whatever retailer you prefer to get the Beta before making any decision on what edition you want to buy. That way you're paying a very small fee compared to the whopping $100 for the digital deluxe version just to get access to the Beta if money is an issue, and if you still end up wanting the digital version just cancel and refund your preorder. That would be my advice.
  22. This is exactly what I believed it to be. While connected. both Black Ops games (I'm including W@W with the first BO because it didn't really have a story until the last 2 maps and directly continued into BO) had relatively separate zombies stories that for the most part had a different group being followed for each game. The Youtube description was clearly written by someone who doesn't exactly have an immense amount of knowledge on cod zombies, and they most likely heard Treyarch describe it as an all new narrative, which is another way one could describe a campaign mode, and decided to write is as campaign so that it may be more marketable to the masses as a simpler word to understand rather than "narrative" which probably does zombies more justice when trying to describe how it's story works.
  23. I don't think being able to change the starter pistol would necessarily be a bad thing, of course there will always be that option of having the classic starting pistol or mauser, which would be identical to what we've had before and still be that classic zombies you love. It's weird for me to think about because once I got into zombies, I've always started every single match I played using the M1911/Mauser with my own method to obtain as many points as I could get before getting whatever wall weapon I favored on a given map. Being able to use other types of pistols would force me to literally completely rethink how I approach starting round 1 in zombies. Sure I can always rely on my tried and true technique and not worry about it, but why is it a bad thing to come up with another method or two? It sounds like it wouldn't be a big deal but in actuality it's a huge deal, and would for sure make every match with a new pistol something completely different than the last one. I love zombies but repetitiveness has plagued it on every map, and any form of variation that doesn't really change the core experience will be welcomed with open arms by me.
  24. I've yet to watch the video myself, and I will do so here very soon. But I don't think that necessarily confirms a new campaign. I think that was just some intern trying to think of a way to sound fancy trying to describe the new story with SoE. I hate to sound skeptical, it's just that I remember similar terminology being used to describe zombies in BO2 a few times before release and I don't want to get my hopes up again.
