  1. It's.... Legal.... Sadly... we can't control how much people will pay for these items.

It's actually not legal right now. eBay's presale policy states that an item can't be listed unless it can be shipped to the buyer within 30 days of transactions end; and they have a plethora of circumvention measures in place to avoid confusion.

Honestly, majority of the sales you see upwards of 1K are shill bidders, and you can even tell that a lot of said bidder's accounts have just been created in the last 30 days. The sales that you will actually see going through however are for $400-$550 at most. That's still high for sure, but not as bad as people are making it out to be. It just comes down to how much the person wants it.

I definitely don't agree with it in the slightest, but I guess if that was my only recourse, then at least it's only double the price on average, rather than triple. Sadly scalping has been happening since the beginning of time with bartering as the primary source of resource/income and not exclusive to Collector's Editions of Video Games lol.

  2. Still trying to find whether if the Misty action figure is in here...

Though there are some figures in the cutscene that are too far away to be seen. I could've sworn I saw Finn in there...

It bugs me so much that neither her nor Dempsey is seen since they're part of the star cast. Oh well what can you do?

Dempsey's the star of it since it's all from his point of view!

Actually someone said they clipped the scene where the dog knocks over our "POV" and it was an astronaut looking suit. If that's true then that means both misty and demspey are missing, and besides what does your comment have to do with mine? I simply meant it sucks not seeing them as dolls.

  3. I miss the by gone age of W@W and later on even Call of the dead where Easter eggs could be done on solo, made playing with noobs and rage quitters much easier.

And to a later point Moon, although only the first part of the Easter egg was possible solo

Moon was fully soloable techinically if you have a friend that wanted the achievement but not do the work lol, and or get a random in the game and tell them to stay out of the way. It's a fun challenge to do, that and soloing the CotD co-op EE as you can knock and catch the falling bottle from the ledge, with some patience and skill.

  5. This is excellent news! This is actually the first side quest since Call of the Dead that can be done on Solo completely, if memory serves me right. Although, with the difficulty of this map being so high, I can't imagine how hard it would be to do this by one's self.

The first part of moon can be done solo.

Have fun even getting the napalm things in solo. You will prob not get them till round 18.... and knifing at the tank station is difficult...

I did the moon EE by myself, with a Friend signed in and he went to work lmao, so ya Moon is "Soloable" and the Coop version of CotD is actually soloable as well as you can knock the bottle off and catch it yourself with skill. As I did that one too lol, so thankfully this EE will be a breeze for me ^_^

  6. @Naitrax- so this EE can truly be completed Solo? I was under the impression the part with the Airstrike Beacon Grenade had to be with two, so one person could hit the button?

If it is soloable then awesome! Lol

Edit: Just read about the trick with the Airstrike beacon; which is great news to me as it'll be a breeze lol. I completed the Moon EE by myself, as I just had a friend sign in and leave to go to work lol, and the CotD EE coop version is soloable as well since you can knock the bottle off the ledge and catch it with some patience and skill.

  7. Hey great thread here MMX & everyone , I'm getting some good reading here . Anyone have a picture of the figurine way off to the side that the dog knocks over ? Is he the *nod to (for example) the faceless or shadowy figure in most of the cut-scenes ?

Anybody seen the American TV show fringe ? The Watchers were an evolved race of humans from the future earth that observed key events in history and eventually wound up intervening in the matters of the past to ensure the future they knew remained intact .

They even had one episode where a physicist lost something dear to him , and he turned his body into flesh and machine and was able to move himself through time . Some of the details are fuzzy to me but I wouldn't put it past treyarch to use some of those fringe elements in their game .

Again I just wanted to spotlight if not for just a second, the unknown figurine in the room the rest is spit ballin thanks !

Great ideas, unfortunately ive freeze framed and that figure that gets knocked over is actually the moon astronaut zombie, that was why i can up with the idea of Samantha holding tank Dempsey, as i thought it was him who was knocked over originally

    viewtopic.php?f=155&t=35943&start=60

I could be missing something as I was just scanning the pages, but I took it as meaning the unknown POV character (since it probably wasnt a camera) was wearing an astronaut costume.

Edit: @Flammenwerfer/Gotta get some sleep, so if I don't respond it's because of this lol. If you correct me then thank you!, but if you don't have an answer then hopefully we can get to the bottom of it!

  8. SNIP

I asked this in another thread but I guess you never visited back: you stated that Misty was seen in the end cutscene, but you're the only person that's actually said this that I'm aware of. Now, would you mind detailing this or showing some visual aid? It's driving me insane lol.

I also have heard that its not actually Dempsey that is our POV, but instead an astronaut? Which I guess could still be Tank but idk, is that true? The person that said this said they did a freeze frame by frame as Fluffy knocked our POV character over.

In any case I was just wondering if you actually saw Misty or was referring to Samantha being the representation of her for her "games" lol.

  9. I think I understand the meaning of this ending. Yes Origins is a game, and it is played by Samantha and Eddie. I think this because the map seems to imaginative, not realistic at all. The robots and dr. maxis having his brain chopped out and turned into a robot? I definatly think this is a game that Samantha and eddie are playing, thats why we see all the symbolic stuff in samantha's room. BUT at the end we here the alarms and maxis calling samantha downstairs and they talk about wishing it were real and that her dad, maxis, has a plan. I think this is taking place during WW2, the begging of when zombies takes place,I think this because of the alarms. Then her dad could have had the plan that made there game a reality and maxis successfully created the zombies! Then as we know Samantha Actually ended up controling them! and eddie could have grown up with samantha and he is edward, maybe. so now we come to what we have know about zombies previously and its a fight between samantha and edward for control of the zombies. so yes this is the origins and after their "game" maxis made it a reality. This is just my Thought.

Sure, but if this started within a five year or less period of the "incident" at Der reise, then explain how Eddie aged 25+ years, then after that explain how their dolls came to life, and lastly how they lost their memories because they obviously knew about every action we the players would be taking.

The only explanation I personally see that would continue the zombies storyline would be that every map we've played was all a game and that the end cutscene tells us that there's a chance we will be experiencing the real thing for the next installment. To me it's either that or it's like they said "This is one possible view on how zombies all started" meaning that origins is just a "for fun" type of thing.

I would be fine with either two of those, but honestly I feel there's just too much unexplained things to try and rationalize this whole story. Would it be possible to explain it and be relatively believable? Sure, and I'd be cool with that. I just see it the other way is all.

  10. Maybe it's because I'm tired or something but if I'm understanding your theory correctly then you surmise that origins is just a map to show the embodiment of the Announcer games and that after the map ends is when it all really begins?

If my assumption is correct, you also state that all future maps are still in fact canon, but how do you explain that she has models of dolls of the characters she's going to be working with before she's met them? Also what about all the other paraphanelia littered around the room of maps that haven't occurred yet? Lastly, who is the Eddie character, just a friend that she's never mentioned once, or the actual Edward Richtofen? As it wouldn't be Richtofen or (the player representing the doll Richtofen), as you have seemed to imply it is, did he somehow age during the time working with Maxis? Because it was around this time in the 40s that he locked the two up with fluffy.

Maybe somehow I have misunderstood your point but as far as I can tell right now, you don't address Enough inconsistencies within your theory, as there are more that I could think of than the ones I've already stated.

    Also this:

-A little observation: Nowhere did it state that Samantha imagined ALL of the events in Zombies. The end cutscene only stated that Origins was imagined.

Ya gonna have to disagree here, the very fact that the room had previous map items scattered around indicates that these maps could be imagined as well, sorry there's just no denying that, your theory can't hold here. Now if you were talking about time travel, mind warping, or even her being a very God at this point you could imply that she used these set pieces to breath life into them, but according to your theory at this point she's just a normal girl. The theory breaks down here my friend XD

  11. I'm sure there are many people who would love for Treyarch to come out and tell us what they are thinking or give us indicators about what certain things mean...but i'm not one of them... and here's why.

If Treyarch's team that has been working on zombies for years now just decided to throw away the mystery and tell us the solid facts about how and why things happen in the storyline, what's the point of even having a community like CoDZ?

The fact that they are so silent, secretive, yet creative in their storytelling is what makes this community and fanbase unique from any other. It keeps us fighting, collaborating, seeking and finding, teaching and learning.

The simple fact that Treyarch still hasn't spoken a single truth about the Zombies storyline outside of the game is what makes me so sure that this isn't the end.

The game speaks for Treyarch, we speak for the story.

VERY well said, completely agree with every point.

  12. inception 1 of the best films made! propa messes with your head at the end enit lol u kinda like :/ he still dreaming? lol

thats exactly what they have done here!! "huh its all just a game?"

some people hating on treyach for this but its actuaky kind of genius, they got all there fan base talkin over & over about this lol & have left it open to do what ever they like with it :)

I agree that Inception was brilliant, and as I've said more than a day before people even posted their opinions of the "official" reveal of the ending, is that I thought it was genius, my problem with MMX as MANY others have agreed is that he's extremely stubborn and thinks everyone should accept his theory and that's the end of it.

Not once, not twice but three times I applauded the work on his theory and said it's very plausible but I gave my own thoughts about it and he just shrugged it off while saying I'm devoid of faith in treyarch. Like the quote you pulled from him also included him saying that ANYONE that agreed to just take that this was all a game are people that are again devoid of faith and basically not worth his time and don't care about the story at all, like he knows how people feel or something.

As I replied and let him know quite right, he cannot tell me I don't care about something just because I feel it might be a game or not really "real", I love all kinds of work that involve twists such as this one or even endings that are absolute "fake". Also what's wrong with accepting that it could be just a game? This was all fake to begin with by being a fiction story. Sorry I didn't mean to rant but you quoting that and seemingly missing his underlying message, I just had to say something.

I'm done with it as of now, don't want to start a flame war with the guy and this will be my last thought on the matter, just tired of people seeing the guy as a theory God or something. He's definitely good but he lost my respect by denouncing everything I and others have said as some form of heresy lol.

Edit: For the record to clear up any possible confusion, it may seem I only condone the whole "It was all just a game", but I in fact fully support the idea that this can all be explained and tied into the future story if there is one. I simply believe in exploring all avenues of possibilities and fully EMBRACE if this is the end of it and can enjoy it all for what it's worth.

  13. We also heard things like this from Misty, but we actually see her in the scene

I'd really like to know where you saw misty at, because I've looked at that scene where the N4 are and I just don't see even the slightest glimpse of a flanneled shirt or anything, maybe you could blow up an image and circle the corresponding match for me? I truly am curious as its been driving me nuts. I get POV Dempsey as I don't see a little girl using a camera to smash into zombies and what not but this I just don't see lol.

Apologies if it came across as a dig at yourself, that's not how I intended it. All I was saying was for an extra game mode, it has a pretty in depth story mode. Something that appears to have been well thought out and implemented so far.

Like all sequels, trilogy's, quadrilogy's and so on - you can only take it so far before the plot is lost. That's not to say that the Zombies story is dead in the water, just that they may get another game or two before they need to or should draw it to a conclusion.

Oh it's fine, and yes it has had an in depth story compared to most side game modes, no question there lol.

  14. This, it's an EXTRA GAME MODE with a small department in comparison working on it.

Correct, it is an "extra game" mode, however, is past experience extra game modes are small in comparison and do not come with this level of a storyline.

Treyarch brought this in as they had a story they wanted to tell, it has a beginningand it will have an end. However, the story imo has only just begun.

I love the theories that have been put into this, one that sticks out was that we would be heading to the south pole. So many avenues could be taken with the story, watch this space.

Correct, I get where you're coming from, that comment was directed at those who are trying to cross reference some graffiti on a wall, and make it tie in with a map 4 years later and how if they don't solve this puzzle the world will implode.

I know treyarch are geniuses in their own right, but I'm sorry not everything means something, the Lost numbers in Verruckt were simple a shout out to the show, nothing more and then some members go an watch the whole show I bet to find an underlying meaning lol.

It's just, as I've said a million times now, if treyarch had regularly dropped in to confirm some stuff I could see the madness continue, but after 5 years and nothing? You're choosing to do it and its no ones fault but your own if they disappoint you.

  15. To be honest I don't think this is the end of Zombies, I think the cutscene is meant to be interperated in a different way and not be a literal cause, or I personally believe Origins is Samantha's imagination, while the rest of the maps were real, I think Samantha's quote at the end hints towards the Zombies storyline as we know it on the track to happening.

As for Origins, it's my personal belief it was a "We love you Fans, enjoy this special map" Type of deal. a one shot fan favorite map.

I could be wrong and the entire thing could be a lie like the Cake, but this is how I feel.

    Definitely possible

  16. I feel like it will be an awkward and rough 2 years, if Treyarch doesnt say anything at all about this ending.

Black Ops 2 was released last November, we only have 14 months or so (if we are to have another COD installment from Treyarch). I'm sure we will get some type of inclination in due course if it will involve Zombies, not only that but Xbox One & PS4 will be available so the possibilities on the "next" Zombies are huge.

Ya if they are gonna go out with a bang with zombies, it needs to be Next gen, since the memory and all that help the features better are much higher.
