  1. I gotta disagree slightly with @The Clay Bird and @Ragdo11706 on what the made up language is used for.

The jist of what you guys are saying if I'm reading correctly is that the language would have been better for the EE and something different chosen for the WW upgrade.

As someone who has played a lot with the WW upgrade I gotta say it's ridiculously OP.  The sliquid from Die Rise kills more technically but this gun is able to get you out of some really bad situations, as well as killing 40 - 50 zombies per shot.

Bearing in mind Steve has already gotten to round 200 using a double PAPPed wall gun I really believe Treyarch got this right.  That PAPPed weapon means literally anyone could camp until round 100, in like 6 hours with the only issue being how to deal with the Margwas.

I made a comment on Reddit that I believe Treyarch had planned this out from the start.  Every map will have something on it that is almost impossible to solve until the next DLC or trailer comes out.  They choose the WW for this as opposed to the EE, and I completely agree with doing it that way.

At the end of the day the WW upgrade will be solved, and I'm certain it will be no more difficult than upgrading the armies, and probably easier than the swords.  Then anyone can do it, not even worry about the swords and get to say round 80 with no issues at all.  I believe that the scenario I have just described should not have been easily discoverable, as it's just too OP in itself.

The game would come down to build shield, build and upgrade WW and then camp.  That would literally be all that's required.  Wouldn't even need to get a PAPed wall gun, could just get a ray gun for Margwas and be good to go.

-Similarly gobble gums have the same sort of feature going on where you can trade megas for more liquid divinium.

This is so awesome.  I only use Unquenchable, Wall Power and Cache Back and this will definitely make a huge difference.

  3. @DaveLo07 The thing is Dave, I just don't believe the Margwa's actually provide a challenge.  They provide a nuisance, a rinse and repeat thing that you have to do every other round, leaving the spot you have been running in.

It's as simple as into the rift, get a hoard and kill the Margwa.  The absolute worse thing about them is that by far the easiest way to kill them is with a ray gun.  Just like the panzer requiring the Boomhilda, the Margwa's require a Ray Gun for them to be easy to kill.  Which means wasting a perk slot for Mule Kick, or not being able to have a PAPed insta kill gun too.  Or, spend a long arse time shooting them with a normal gun.  It's not challenging to me, just irritating.

I believe that ZL and ZR aren't accepting the Margwa glitch as legit.  The thing is, WR's mean nothing until at least 6 months after the map comes out anyway.  These guys are playing for their live viewers and YT views, and right now no-one really cares about this issue.  People just want a place where they can go and chat to their friends, and have that place be there for a week or so.

Once the map has been completely sussed out, people will care more for legit records.  Being completely frank, Treyarch have such laughable leaderboards that a pub napkin probably deserves more respect.  The best example of this was patching the liquid gun in Die Rise and then leaving scores on the board that couldn't be reached again, ala Steve and Mato.

When I mentioned high round players having fun I was talking about myself and people like me; we aren't streamers or YouTubers, but we still want to go to about 100.  Once you are in a game for more than a day, I don't see any fun factor at all.  Maybe insta kill rounds are a one time goal....I don't know.  Insta would definitely be fun.

@TimelordAlex The thing is I don't mind some ridiculous steps being required for something massively OP, such as the PAPed WW.  However, there should be a way for players to be able to do this only once, but have it available much easier in future games.  Those future games should be offline, and not able to get onto the 'official' leaderboards but they would make the game more fun again.  If it's going to require a 2 hour EE epic just to PAP the WW, SOE is going to have no long term playtime future.  Once more DLCs drop, people are just not going to bother to keep trying again when it takes so long to do anything.

And if all DLCs are the same then I'll be waiting for my friends to all get it on PC for the future mod kits, and assume that by then there will a way to play a cracked version online.

  4. This was discovered by a French dude on day 1.  They had watched Dims and Scottie's 100+ streams and worked out why Dims had Margwas, and Scottie didn't.

There are no characters quotes after doing this.  So it might affect the long term solo WW upgrade.  With no WW it's crazy to not do this.

Every high round run is using this.  It's game breaking enough that I think Treyarch have allowed it to stay (whether by design or accident) to help high round players have fun.

Zombies doesn't seem to be about fun anymore in my opinion.  People want to be first and famous.  People posting their videos everywhere, not sharing information.  It fucking disgusts me.  Even some of our users on here have become like that.  It's what you can call forgetting your roots.

I legally own the game plus season pass on both PC and Xbox One.  You know what I play more than 50% of the time?  A crack pre-patch PC version as it's the most fun.  No disconnects, no Margwas and an upgraded sword and WW makes it's as fun as Die Rise China room pre patch was.

Go into the waterfront and keep the door to junction shut ala 5and5....it's fucking awesome.  Round 100 in under 5 hours, full concentration required at all times - that's zombies.

Obsessing about cocoons and audio cues is so not for me.  I appreciate that Treyarch have all this amazing stuff out there for the people who want to find it - I might take more part in the search if it wasn't so toxic.

I'd still wager that there is a legit way to PAP the servant.  Once an idea has been scrapped, it's removed from the game entirely. The fact the upgraded apothicon's servant is in the game should mean there's some way to obtain it.

Calling @steviewonder87 to chat about this.  Things are scraped and left in the game all the time from what Steve's told me.

I agree with everything you say in your post and believe that there is a way to PAP it, but not this justification.  I seem to remember there was code in Die Rise for an upgraded Sliquifier....

  6. There are glitches and there are glitches.

Zombie cloning is a clever use of the game mechanics, the same as what I always thought about Astro being locked behind an excavator on Moon.

A 3rd gun slot isn't a huge deal to me either mate.  Sure it saves a perk but I don't think an extra perk is suddenly going to make someone go from say a 40 round player to a 100 round player.

I'm sure others disagree.  The glitches I personally am against are things like Table on Five, or edge of ship COTD.

Sorry for derailing this topic a little bit......so, another tip.

I find it much quicker to get the part from the 'monsters' before the part from digging.  Every time I've dug first I end up mid 20's before getting the last part.  It's rare I don't get the other part on the 3rd boss round if not before then, and I've never then not found it on a map dig sweep on say 15 or 16.

Chopper; care to explain how you stop them from spawning?

Not publicly in case it's an actual glitch.  I'll pm you though mate.

As a mod I can't be publicly showing potential glitches.  I will however PM anyone who asks me what to do.

For the record, I'm moving more and more to it not being a glitch and more being by design.  I'd like to get some feedback from others who have tried it first before declaring it as a non-glitch in my mind.

It could be considered game breaking, I just consider it makes the map more fun tbh.

  8. Honestly my absolute new number one tip on this map is just wait for the WW to do anything pretty much.

    Maybe grab a Ray Gun.

Next, don't PAP until you have completed the swords.  Or at least, don't double PAP and find that you can't safely get to the end of a round keeping a zombie or two.

Initial rituals excluded, anything to do with the sword is just easier with this.

Edit - just wanted to add some more thoughts on this.  The more I play this map the more I realise how depressing it is to be on round 8 after 30 minutes.  I now play the spawn till end of 3, burning a couple of beasts.  But it's much quicker doing these rounds.  I then do a perk location towards the end of the next few rounds, grab a shield part in each whilst zombies are still about, or even when a round ends.  I'll be updating my solo strategy guide with an entirely new way of playing, which I've found much more satisfying.

  9. @Ragdo11706 @DeathBringerZen

I really want to solve this issue.  Potentially, it's a completely different path you can take in regards to maybe the EE - it could also a glitch.

There's a chance it could be only able to be done in solo, but I need to test it with someone.

Ragdo and DBZ - what do you guys think?  This was given to me by a very good friend and is essential to enable high round players to go really far in peace without the Margwa.

Therefore, if it's a glitch I'm not that happy sharing it with people.

On the other hand if it's potentially something integral to something new on SOE, I want all this community working on it.#

I'm not in this to be 'first', I want to help the entire community.

John - would you be good to play some Xbox on Monday to mess around 2 player to see if we can replicate it?

  10. All the hyperbole surrounding this, the teasers and then a shitty reveal of nothing played on a lastgen console.

I appreciate your guys like what this chick is doing but I can't respect someone who acts like that.

That's twice now that @DeathBringerZen has worded what I wanted to say much better than I could.  I have had some massive upheaval in my life this last week and I may have some mis-directed anger issues.  For that I apologise.

I didn't even know that was possible. I knew it could be done with the Spaceman and the Panzer but not the Margwa. I doubt I would bother doing it though because the map is considerably easy as is. I am not even that fussed about upgrading the WW because getting to 100 would be relatively simple with the current loadout available anyway.

Removing him doesn't change the difficulty tbh, more the irritability.  He's just a pain in the arse to deal with, and him being there removes some of the best spots in the game.  All he does is slow the rounds down once you know how to deal with him.

I don't care about the WW upgrade either, sure it would be nice to have more ammo but with the sword too it's not necessary unless you want to go to insane rounds or camp somewhere to round 100.

I just don't understand Treyarch's mindset anymore, and have noticed more and more arrogance recently from their team.  Talking about EE's that will never be solved from WAW, basically saying haha we are better than you are.

My 2 favourite maps probably are Die Rise and SOE now, simply because once setup and running there's nowhere else in zombies as fun to run as these 2 maps.  And Treyarch screwed both of them up, for no real apparent reason.

I am believing more and more than someone is over there on a power trip and have been pissed off by a high round player somewhere and are making petty changes which only really affect those people.  On Die Rise it was patching the sliquid gun to make crawlers over round 100 plus the added splashes creating puddles everywhere and now it's the WW on SOE.

The Die Rise crawlers in particular affected only a tiny group of players, and had no harm to anyone else.  What was the point?

  12. I say glitch out the Margwa and 'enjoy' the game again.

So as a solo player you have to spend an hour getting everything done (my fastest time is 55 minutes) and during that have messed around with the game mechanics to not have a Margwa spawn in again.

Great job Treyarch.  I love the map once I'm setup, but an hour is ridiculous.  And that's me knowing where everything is and the quickest way to do it.
