  1. made it to 19.  this is seriously hard.  the infected rounds are too hard for me. Its still pretty darn fun though.  I maintain that my big gripe with it is (besides no solo pause) the weapons upgrade system sucks balls.  You have to upgrade almost every round to keep being able to kill the zombs, and then you dont have any money to buy back perks or hit the box for other shit.

     

    Bottom line it is fun, but i really hope they adjust the weapon upgrading in the next packs although i doubt they will. the way it is now is just stupid

  2. Just died on 30 solo, and I must say, the first rounds are easier than in a typical Treyarch map, but the later rounds get incredibly hectic. The zombies are just SO fast, and there's nothing to easily group up around since they can all jump over most things. Even my Cauteriser Mk 18 wasn't doing much (yeah, I know it isn't fully upgraded but I was playing smart with my ammo, using it all before upgrading)

     

    However, the MAHEM is so good. It was like 2 shots to kill a horde at 27 at Mk 5. I can't begin to imagine the, pardon the pun, mayhem this gun could cause at Mk 25! 

    Overall, fun map I can see myself playing again soon. I am going to try and beat my score...

     

    i hate that the quote unquote wonder weapon is really not very "wunderbar" .  maybe that is a bit of feedback they will take to the next map and actually give us a bad ass WW

    I'm for all of these, plus less infection zombies.  

     

    In addition, the weapon upgrade system is really underwhelming.  Not fun at all.  You think "whoa you can upgrade your weapon 20 times???" and it just feels like nothing.  Maybe decrease it to 5 times, and make each one more dramatic and with better visual and audio effect.  That's why Pack a Punch imo blasted zombies into it's massive popularity (and why der reise is to this day considered by many the best map of all time)

     

    i mean really.. to the eyes the Mk 20 gun is no different looking besides maybe an attachment or two, than the base gun.  and i had to spend 47,500 points to get there???  give me a break, they can do better than that

     

    Other than that it's pretty cool.  I'm already a little tired of the exo suits in general, but i can deal with them for another 8 months or so.

  4. Having just downloaded Havoc like 20 mins ago and played for about 2 mins, I noticed two very annoying things:

     

    >When the host leaves a game it ends the game instead of picking a new host like BO2,

    >You can't even pause. Like WTF? Why would you not add this? I'm glad to know some other people share my frustration. I'm especially annoyed by this because I like to take frequent breaks when playing. I really hope they update the game and add this in (even though I know they won't cause they don't care), otherwise I'm gonna be kinda pissed. 

     

    Are  you sure?  I had to quit out of a 4 player game yesterday to join a different one, and when i quit it said migrating host before dropping me out (assuming i was the host)

  5. well, to be fair, this is also the first one that appears to be able to be done fully solo (yes 1st half of moon was solo friendly, and there was a separate solo achievement for CotD) So it would be a lot easier to withhold the info since you don't even need teammates.  But to truly be credited as finding it first it really needs to be live streamed too imo

  6. So I'm a PS4 player and as such don't yet have Havoc.  From what I've seen of a handful of youtube videos so far is that there's only one Exo Zombies map.  If so - that's a bit dissapointing. 

    Blops Zombies was an initial game mode (and I know that this is now too) - but it always started with a few maps and then the DLC was a couple more. 

     

    Did the Havoc DLC really only have the one map?

     

    Black ops 1 had 2 maps at launch.  black ops 2 had 2-ish (nuketown was not on disc but a preorder thing) WaW had Nacht. none of them have had any DLC packs with more than one map though.  I don't think anyone expected multiple zombies maps on havoc

  7. One little feature that in all fairness they are not obligated to add. That is not game breaking it is just annoying.

     

     

    I mean for solo high round players it really is fairly game breaking. i mean think, would anyone really hit 100 on any black ops maps without a pause button?  i had to pause overnight for at least 2 maybe 3 nights for my 69 on ascension.  and the 90's rounds probably take 20-30 minutes each im guessing.  at the very least.

Oh yeah, here is an important FYI for anyone wanting their good rounds to go on the leaderboard.  Do not end the game by quitting.  Suicide if you want your kills/rounds/score to count for leaderboards.  found out the hard way yesterday. Good thing it wasn't a very high round i made it to when i had to quit, because it will not save if you exit, only if you die

  10. What I also noticed, is the same issue we have had for years, no 2, 3 player only lobbies?

     

    Really?  that is really disappointing.  I mean in reality this exo-zombies is basically just a bonus for me since most of us weren't expecting zombies until treyarch's turn, but I just really really hope that treyarch don't let all the complaints about BO2 slip their mind when designing zombs for their next game.  Obviously we need a pause option for solo (and split screen co-op too please like WaW) and for the loe of god private match options!  

     

    The lack of pause in  exo-zombs in particular probably won't be a big deal for me simply because I dont see myself really going after any high high rounds like on BO1 or BO2, but it would still be nice to be able to run and make a drink or take the dog out to pee or whatever lol

    I don't see much point in hitting the box at high rounds regardless of the quality of weapon for most maps. Origins you're using a staff, MOTD 2x blundergat and Redeemer, Die Rise you've got the sliquifier, Buried the Paralyzer, on Tranzit there's the bank to infinitely bank roll the box.

    BO2 made the box useless more or less. Once you have your WW, you never hit it again.

    But isn't that true for every zombies map ever? at some point in every game you are going to be satisfied with the weapons you have and the box is no longer necessary. With the relatively low ammo count on pre BO2 WW's, not really. The Thundergun, super powerful, but ran out of ammo quickly, same with the scavenger, or the Waffle. BO2, we had an insta kill WW that had 99 bullets in the ice staff, it creates a 7 second blizzard that kills everything it touches. If you played it right, in an area with limited spawn points, it could kill 40+ zombies per 3 bullets.

    Then there is the Sliquifier, a WW that could literally kill an entire rounds worth of zombies in a single bullet.

    Much different than a weapon that kills a dozen zombies, and has 24 (?) Shots like the TG.

    Anyways the real point is variety. There's maybe 5 guns in the box that don't offend you when you hit it. If all of the weapons were useful, you wouldn't use the same two or three weapons every single game. Different weapons with different styles, and perks. Some might he a high ammo count, others might be really powerful. Some can revive teammates.

     

     

    I think you are underestimating the ability of the thundergun/wunderwaffe/wave gun/JGbabymaker2001

     

    at say round 30 solo there would be 100-110 zombies in the round.  If you max out the spawns at 24 zombies, it would only take 5 shots with any of those guns (if used correctly) to clear the round

    There is only one serious threat that could ruin CoD and that is the yearly release BS.

    Yearly release works for sports games and things like that but for shooters, it's a bit different. The thing that kills them is yearly release of virtually the same game. What needs to happen is each Call of Duty game producer finds their niche and excels at that, instead of all of them taking a cookie cutter approach. Then you can love certain Call of Duty games and avoid others, which I suppose we do now, but then there would really be a difference between them. But that won't happen for a while, not until it's no longer the consistently best selling game.

     

     

     

    I think the quality of the CoD games will have less to do with this happening than a suitable replacement would.  People buy CoD because it's a social shooter. They play with their friends. I think until something comes in and knocks CoD off the throne, CoD will continue to sell incredibly well by default almost

    It would be nice if they would get rid of the completely useless weapons. SMR, China Lake, etc. Not the weapons that have an actual use when upgraded like the war machine, Balistics knife, RPG, etc.

    Not asking for every weapon to be a HAMR, just useful. There's still a chance you get an rpg, or war machine, or ballistics knife from the box. They have actual uses when they are upgraded, much like the M1911. You get rewarded for putting up with them. An SMR is always useless.

    I like that though. It makes you feel like you wasted your money, and shows that the box is a gamble. 

     

     

    I agree with Speedo here, but like i've said previously. I also would love the idea of a second upgrade of sorts that could turn some of those seemingly useless weapons into real machines of destruction.  Much like the reward of keeping your 1911 to create M&S, id like to see a situation where surviving long enough with your SMR could have some very useful benefit

  15. See I find that more complicated for the players because now they've got to figure out which box is the one they want on the map, get to it, and prey it has their weapon. As for the custom game option,  lets be honest, most of us only RARELY play with custom games, it seems like mystery-box content would be a customization and keep of programing that would go to waste. 

     

    As for the game starting before the customization can finnish, this is zombies not multiplayer, believe me I KNOW from experience that  these lobbies take much longer and almost always require one to ready up. 

     

    Maybe the reason we rarely play custom games is because there was a lack of quality customization options?  By adding really good unique customizations maybe it would be a lot more popular...

  16. Whilst I'll probably use the hide signature feature myself when browsing mobile, I think signatures should definitely be enabled by default.

    Signatures that abide by the recent more stringent rules shouldn't be too obtrusive and shouldn't increase load times by that much of a  significant margin.

     

    Have a post in Site News or Member Lounge detailing how you can turn off signatures for anyone who finds them annoying, and start removing sigs that break the rules again.

     

     

    I agree.  I still think the current signature rules are a little bit too strict.  If turning sigs off is going to be an easy option, then i would propose easing the rules on sig length to 20 lines or so.  That way it allows us to be a bit more expressive with our signatures, yet easily enables those who don't want to see them to turn them off

  17. Haha, awesome new trailer for havoc dlc release... killcameraman, lol they know how to make funny trailers. And yeah, I've seen that too, Hyper Damage... I think it's instakill, just renamed it.  And you can see: Exo zombies is total chaos right at the start... round 6 and dozens of zombies on your ass.

     

     

    it is still canned trailer footage so it should be taken with a grain of salt, but it does seem like it is going to be crazy hectic from the get go :)

    say you guys got the chance to play this early what would you want to see the most? 

     

    like what would be the most important things you would check out first? 

     

    Probably would want to check out the whole map first, to see layout/how big it is.  2nd would be the extent of similarity to 3arc zombs. like perks and what they do. all weapons and if they are upgradeable.  And of course the main format of whether it is endless like 3arc zombs or if you can "win" like extinction

     

     

     

    This may be the unpopular opinion, but I hope the mission/story and Round/Wave progression works much like it did in Extinction more so than it does in Zombies.

     

    I love the way Extinction works. The only problem was the longevity of every map. At least for me, beating a map four times was enough.

     

    I become easily bored with a linear gameplay; it's like playing a campaign mission over and over again.

     

    Now, if the mission works the way Extinction did and the rounds the way Zombies did, we have a balance. Something like Origins/MotD, where, if you want, you can finish the game completing the EE but if you don't, just survive endless rounds.

     

    I like that combo more than just Extinction-way or Zombies-way.

     

     

    If anything, I feel like they should have several options: Survival and Story we'll say. Much like how you could choose parts of TranZit to just Survive on.

     

    However, the difference being is you could play it the Extinction way, where you start objectives and more waves spawn and it's endless chaos the whole time, the only thing that changes is how many Zombies spawn between completing objectives and starting new ones (just like doing the drills on Extinction) and there's a way to escape and so forth. 

     

    OR

     

    Just raw survival. And this mode would work more like the classic zombies we all know best basically.

     

     

    I guess maybe there would be some who would prefer an objective game with an ending, but just saying if they had those 2 options, i would never even touch the "story" version.
