Ok I must be like the only one that never gets gun out of the ground! I swear I'm either pulling up zombies or frags every time I dig. Sometimes I'll pull 50 points...yippee. Good strategies though, I tend to do the same things. Though I usually save my double points in the starting room til round 3 and train them up and then hit it, get a lot more points out of it. If you get another double points or Max Ammo during the next round, you can leave the starting room on round 4 with 10k plus in points. I also tend to only go for headshots if I need to, otherwise I'll just melee. I rarely play so conservative and so serious, so this was actually a fun little challenge to do. Trying to get max points and PaP before round 7. Hmmm, I remember when we used to get achievements for such things. :P

On solo its dead easy, only buy the doors you need to open and start up the generators and buy jug and a gun off the wall. Herd the zombies into a group and fire the mauser into the zombies and make points. Dig everything up and you should get more Mauser ammo. And then repeat. You should even be able to get stamin up before round 8 when the panzer comes. Pap your gun and your ready to kill the sucker when he comes! Well... wall gun - 500 (conservative) Starting room door - 500 Door to Gen 2 or 3 - 750 Both doors to workshop - 2000 Upper door of workshop/entrance to NML - 1250 Door to church area - 1250 Door to open church next to tank - 1250 Door to open up PaP - 2250 Pap - 5000 14,750 (without jug or quick revive, 17k+ with jugg and QR). If you get lucky with a couple double points I can see it as easy, but otherwise it's actually quite difficult. Edit: Ok, so I tried this out just now and it's definitely possible, but by no means easy (at least for me lol). I had 16k at the end of round 5 (died on the last zombie...don't ask), so I'm sure I could of racked up near 20k by the end round 6. But I also did not buy jugg, quick revive, and used an M14, running a short train in the starting room and later at jugg. And I tell ya what, running a train in the starting room is no easy task. Is there some secret I'm missing to not using up all these damned points to open the doors? I feel like there's something I'm missing lol :(

Boomhilda is the go to weapon of choice for me. I'm not sure how people are getting enough points to PAP the Mauser before round 7, but I've never been able to, so I just use a random SMG or AR to get the job done the first time around. Zombie Blood also does the wonders if you're lucky enough to stumble upon one when he arrives.
  4. This thread was an oldie but goody. Written back in spring of last year, the thread was lost when the site crashed. Luckily I pulled a copy from the old VB site months back and saved it to my hard drive. This thread was written after observing the relationship between Element 115 and Vril during Black Ops. It also details the effects of the Casimir Effect on this energy, as the Casimir Effect played a significant role in BO1 Zombies Keep in mind that this was written before BO2 was even announced, so some things might be outdated, and the formatting is awful. Nonetheless, enjoy! After some heavy review, I've come to two conclusions: 1. Element 115, when in a high concentration and amplified by a strong enough Casimir Effect, creates an abundent amount of Vril Energy. First off, let's review the characteristics of the two power sources. Element 115 Characteristics 115 or Ununpentium, plays many significant roles in the world of zombies. Element 115's applications include teleporter technology and serves as a power source for the DG-2 and other various Wonder Weapons. It's used in upgraded weapons via the Pack-a-Punch machine. It's even in the perk a colas. It's major side effect is the reanimation of dead calls via inherent electrical problems. It is a VERY powerful element, the most powerful known to man in the zombies universe. Element 115 meteors have been found in: Shi No Numa, Tunguska, Groom Lake (Area 51), Der Riese, Shangri La, and Moon (confirmed via Astronomical team). Vril Energy Characteristics The uses of Vril amongst the Vril-ya vary from an agent of destruction to a healing substance. Vril can be changed into all types of matter, both animate and inanimate. It can destroy like lightning or replenish life, heal, or cure. It is used to rend ways through solid matter. It's light is said to be steadier, softer and healthier than that from any flammable material. It can also be used as a power source for animating mechanisms. Vril can be harnessed by use of the Vril staff or Golden Rod. Vril Energy is also used to pass into the Aether. Vril is beyond the limits of human understanding and capabilities. The Vril-ya, an ancient civilization who inhabits the underground or "Inner Earth", are the only ones who are truly capable of controlling it. Vril's energy is IMMENSE , significantly more powerful than Element 115. As you can see, Element 115 shares some common traits with Vril. This is because there are trace amounts of Vril within the Element that are causing these effects to occur. It's the true source of the Element's power. Even miniscule amounts of Vril found in the 115 can be extremely potent and can be used to fuel such things as the teleporters and wonder weapons. The VR-11 The VR-11, or VRIL, is the only example we have of just how truely powerful Vril Energy is compared to Element 115. Think about all of our Wonder Weapons fueled by 115. The Ray Gun, Thunder Gun, DG2, you name it. Their powers are impressive to say the least. But then consider the VR-11's capabilties. It can cure the infection, make you invincible, and when shot with the Vril Energy, you become an Insta-Kill machine. It's safe to say that when you are infused with Vril Energy, your powers are limitless. This is the true power that is Vril. Richtofen's Grand Scheme Vril is the energy source that Richtofen is after. Not Element 115, but the Vril Energy found within it. He needs the Vril Energy because it is the only source powerful enough to open the pyramid and take Samantha's place. And here's how he aquired that Vril energy. 1. Aquire the Golden Rod As I stated earlier, the power of Vril cannot be controlled by humans. It's power is much too intense for humans to understand or control. Thus why Richtofen can't simply just use the Focusing Stone alone to enter the Vril Pyramid. He needs to find a way to harness the energy safely. And that leads to the Golden Rod (Vril Generator or Vril Staff). The Vril staff is an object in the shape of a wand or a staff which is used as a channel for Vril. It is described as hollow with 'stops', 'keys', or 'springs' in which Vril can be altered, modified or directed to either destroy or heal. The staff is about the size of a walking stick but can be lengthened or shortened according to the user's preferences. The appearance and function of the Vril staff differs according to gender, age, etc. Some staffs are more potent for destruction, others for healing. The staffs of children are said to be much simpler than those of sages; in those of wives and mothers the destructive part is removed while the healing aspects are emphasized This is why we travel to Call of the Dead. Of course we all know we end up getting stuck in a closet, and ultimately get a gun-toting gang of celebrities to retrieve it for us. After we get it, we teleport to Shangri La to retrieve the Focusing Stone. 2. Acquire the Focusing Stone “That’s the concentrated element that I need for my project. But how do I get it all?” “A giant piece of 115 just happen to fall exactly on top of this temple, how is that possible?” “I will put that rock in my pockets, in my pockets with the spleens!” These are all quotes taken from Shangri La. Richtofen traveled to Shangri La to retrieve the Focusing Stone. He's aware that is a highly concentrated 115 source, and higher concentrations of the element means higher concentrations of Vril. This is why he needs the Focusing Stone. He plans to capture the Focusing Stone, harness it with the Golden Rod, and travel to Griffin Station to dethrone Samantha. But even the Focusing Stone will not emit enough Vril Energy to open the Vril pyramid. Enter the Casimir Effect. The Casimir Effect. Firstly, if you've never heard of the Casimir Effect, take a look at these links if you'd like to get a better understanding of this first. Otherwise, I will sum it up below: http://www.scientificamerican.com/artic ... imir-effec http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casimir_effect http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPzlv6cvs8A To sum it up the links above, when two metal plates are placed parallel from each other in a vacuum at a specific distance apart will create a pressure in the middle of these plates. This pressure is caused from a slight difference in wavelengths from inbetween and outside the plates. Realistically, this effect is difficult to harness as the calculations are impossible due to an infinite amount of smaller wavelengths. However, if the certain numbers of wave lengths and calculations are known, the Casimir Effect can be harnessed as energy. Considering the source of energy is a vacuum, the vacuum of space could be an incomprehensible source of energy. And to sum that up, two plates facing each other in the vacuum of space can be a source of unlimited energy if harnessed correctly. You can see where I'm going with this. 3. Utilize the Casimir Effect to amplify the Vril Energy within the Focusing Stone. “Great that worked, now where did I put the Casimir holder?" "A Casimir effect only occurs when there is a vacuum" "Ah Gersch, the builder of the Casimir Mechanism prototype, I will show you how to build a REAL one" These are all quotes taken from Richtofen during the Moon Easter Egg Richtofen placed the Vril Generator w/ 115 Focusing Stone into the Casimir Mechanism he built on the Moon. After doing his calculations (not without an attempted thwart by Maxis), Richtofen is able to harness the infinite energy of the vacuum of space to amplify the Vril Generator with an enormous amount of Vril via the Casimir Effect. This Vril Energy can be seen emiting from the the Golden Rod & Focusing Stone after the Casimir Effect has occured: This light can be described as a "steady, brilliant light" and "seems like diffused atmospheric light, not like that from fire, but soft and silvery, as from a northern star.", much like the picture above. 4. Use the newly acquired Vril Energy to power up the pyramid and switch souls with Sam. When Richtofen returns to the pyramid with the Vril infused rod, the pyramid senses it's own energy in abundent amounts, and thus releases the viles to be filed without buttons or switches. After this is accomplished, Richtofen switches his soul with Sam to complete his grand scheme. UPDATE: 5/30/2012 I'd like to also point out now that the Gersch Device works BECAUSE of the Casimir Effect. Look closely at the Gersch Device. Ever wonder why it looks like a waffle maker? Well it's because it is two plates, with a very small space in between them. The Gersch Device also provides a tremendous amount of vacuum as well know. Plates. Vacuum. Sound familiar? It's the Casimir Effect at work. I'd like to thank my good buddy Tac for pointing this out: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=22152 (not sure if link still works) Let's go back to Ascension: In the radios of Ascension, we learn Gersch was betrayed by Yuri when he unknowningly set off a Gersch Device, sending him to the Aether. (This is the same thing that happens with the zombies. When they are sucked into the Gersch, their souls are sent to Aether to feed Samantha's power.) When we arrive, Gersch asks for our help to repair the mechanism so he might escape Aether. You'll notice throughout the Easter Egg, Gersch continues to shout "More Power! More Power!". This is because the Casimir Mechanism needs such a significant amount of power (Vril energy) to funtion properly. When you complete all the steps and see the light on the ground next to the Casimir Mechanism, you can thow a Gersch Device on it, and you'll hear these quotes: Gersch: "I can see the outline, but there isn't enough power!" Richtofen: "There is so much power here already, and you need MORE?" It's not until we throw a Gersch Device, and blast the device with 115-infused Wonder Weapons that the Casimir Effect occuring in the Gersch Device is amplified enough for a steady gateway or wormhole to be created. The blast of the 115 Wunder Weapons amplifies the Casimir Effect significantly, the power is transfered to the Casimir Mechanism, and the gateway is created. This is what was going on at the Russian Cosmodrome. Conclusion As you can see, Vril is a crucial part to this story. Zombies are reanimated because of the Vril. Wonder weapons are produced from Vril. It's been in front of our eyes this whole time, hidden within the 115. We can also conclude that without the Casimir Effect, Richtofen's plans to take Samantha's place would not have been possible. http://www.scientificamerican.com/artic ... imir-effec http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casimir_effect http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPzlv6cvs8A http://www.sacred-texts.com/atl/vril/index.htm viewtopic.php?f=72&t=21996
  5. Cryogenic sleep could be a definite possibility, but it brings up some questions as well. Like the Black Ops quotes about how Tank had a daughter. Or how Nikolai had all of his wives for that matter. I suppose you could say all those things happened before Origins, but I have my doubts about that. Unfortunately, I think Treyarch's gonna have to explain this one to us, cause things just ain't adding up. :?
  6. I'm with Matuzz. I'm staying open to the possibility that 115 does indeed slow the aging process in humans. I understand the whole scientific reasoning for why it can't prolong life (great post btw Infest, very informative), but I also think the Devs may not have applied such realistic scientific reasoning to their fictional story. We know how 115 affects the dead, causing reanimation (zombies). We also know how Element 115 affects the living. It causes short term memory loss, paranoia, etc like George Barkley stated in the Die Rise transmission, so would it really be that unreasonable to think that it also causes slower aging in the living as well. Personally, I see it as a total possibility. It's great to have a scientific explanation for why it's not possible, but I don't think even Treyarch would have put that much research into it. Honestly, I don't see many other options available right now. Time travel doesn't make sense, their ages would be the same if we time traveled from the 1940's or vice versa. It's possible that the o4 were a lot older than we thought in w@w and BO, but that brings up the problem of Maxis. Clearly Maxis looks at least 60 in that intro, which would make him around 90 at the start of the w@w and BO story. Seems a bit too old for someone to still be experimenting like he did. So to bring this back on topic and answer the OP's question : we have no clue what's going on at the moment.
  7. The points total you see at the end of the game is the total number of points you made throughout the entire game. Points used to buy perks, guns, etc and points lost from dying/bank deposits are not included in your total points.
  8. Pft, you can discuss his sexual orientation all you want, but it's a pointless characteristic to discuss. Tell me, would a straight Richtofen not have brainwashed the test subjects? Would a bisexual Richtofen not betray Maxis and take over the world? He's still gonna do these things, not matter how gay he is. I'm not arguing whether he's gay or not, I'm arguing whether or not it's really even important, and it's not. Age, nationality, education, I can see how these characteristics might affect Richtofen's character within the story, but sexual orientation, no. Just no. But please, by all means, continue to go off topic with a meaningless debate. That trailer next week should be pretty cool...
  9. Richtofen suffered from memory loss, psychosis, delusion, and paranoia, just like Maxis did. It was a side effect from years of testing on Element 115. It began to rot their minds. Also, according to his bio, Richtofen is an incurable sociopath and sees no moral distinction between natural death and murder. Also, I don't see how Richtofen's sexuality is pertinent to the storyline, like at all. Not important enough to be worth debating over IMO.
  10. It's still unclear what the exact fate of the N4 is. If they are indeed dead, it was a pretty anti-climatic ending, and a bad decision on Treyarch's part.
  11. If the N4 really are dead... But seriously, I think we'll see the continuation of the N4 in Black Ops 3. That, or we'll see a whole new group of characters altogether. I just don't see the O4 returning as our main characters as much as it saddens me to say. There's only so much we can do wit the O4 before we need to lay their book to rest. And personally, the N4 really grew on me over time. In TranZit I thought they were blah, but I started coming around during Die Rise. They all have their unique character traits that defined them individually, but what I really liked was the group dynamic between the four. The group reminded me of four random people that you might actually see during an apocalypse in a movie or on a show. I think the problem is that everyone compares them to the O4, and in that case there's just no comparison. No matter what characters we'll get in Zombies, nothing will compare to the characters we knew when we first fell in love with Zombies. They hold a sentimental value more than anything else, and I think it's a bit hard for some people to move past that. The N4 were great in their own way, just like the O4 were. We've just got to stop comparing them.
  12. Dempsey was a pissed off badass before he was captured at Verruckt and sent to Richtofen. Nikolai loved vodka and was killing wives way before Richtofen's brainwashing. And Takeo has been preaching about honor his entire life. I have no doubt we'll hear some classic lines from the gang.
  13. There has literally been no evidence to show that Group 935 ever worked on giant robots. Any connection between the two lies in the similarity between the fact that the robots in the Origins trailer are gigantic, and the fact that Der Riese's English translation is "The Giant". Unless evidence is found in Origins to confirm Group 935 worked on them at Der Riese, it's merely a coincidence.
  14. Six months ago, I would tell you I don't see Zombies continuing in the next Treyarch Call of Duty. But then Mob of the Dead came out, and the campaign team was brought in to expand the Zombies experience even more. Mob of the Dead received great reviews from just about everyone, and it was proof that Zombies is in fact STILL continuing to grow. Origins appears to be the biggest expansion yet for Zombies, and it's only a sign of things to come in my eyes. The story however is unclear. Whether we end this story and start a new one on Black Ops 3, or we continue with this story on BO3, it makes no difference. Zombies will continue regardless.
  15. Welcome to CoDz RR! It's great to have you sign up. If you want to get a better understanding of the story, feel free to check out the link in my signature for the Zombies Saga. It's a bit of a read, but it covers the story of zombies pretty extensively. Also, be sure to check out the Asylum for more great storyline related threads: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=103
  16. Welcome PPG! Don't worry you'll make plenty of friends here who do have a passion for zombies like yourself. Thanks for making the intro and enjoy the discussions, and if you have any questions just ask!
  17. Note: The Zombie's eyes in Verruckt were yellow, before Samantha was in control of them. The eye color did not actually change when Samantha took control. The yellow eyes existed before Samantha was in control.
  18. We all know you already, but hello anyways! I've seen some really great posts from you lately, as well as some great threads of your own: viewtopic.php?f=155&t=34691&p=322763#p322763 Keep up the great work and dedication! :)
  19. Thank you fine sir! I'm literally editing it as we speak. Gotta take a little break but I'll be devoting my weekend to getting it updated, so again check back in the next few days and you'll see a lot of updates. Again, thank you for the compliment.
  20. I've been working away on my revision of the Rise of Richtofen timeline story thread, adding all the details from BO2. Still a lot of editing to do but, it covers everything up to Moon/Nuketown. And I'd recommend you check back on it because there's been a lot of progress lately. The Zombies Saga: The Rise and Fall of Edward Richtofen Also, some people seem to enjoy this thread: viewtopic.php?f=100&t=18279#p162533
  21. +1. Suckerpunch may have just been one of the many influences on the map, as well movies like Hellboy and Iron Sky, and other games like the Bioshock series. It's a great move on Treyarch's part to have a dieselpunk influence on the map. It's an explanation for all the advanced technology during WW1 we'll most likely see. Plus, it let's them get away with putting big ass robots in Zombies.
  22. We probably won't get a response, at least not anytime soon. And quite frankly, they shouldn't feel the need to give us one anyways. I personally have no desire to play the old maps with a few new weapons and perks. If I wanna play Ascension or Shangri La, I'll put in Black Ops.
  23. We've had a lot of changes in Zombies since BO2's release, but they would never go as far as to remove the zombies entirely. It wouldn't be Call of Duty Zombies without the zombies.
