  1. Don't be surprised if the PSN goes down again since they just got hacked again today and over a million of their users' information is posted on the internet for all to see.
  2. Ok, I just watched a video, and the last one seems to be right next to the speed cola machine so there are at least 4 of them so if anyone can try this out before me, it would definitely be appreciated and if it gets debunked, then that's one less theory we have to worry about.
  3. Now, while I do find the explosion curious, I still have my skeptical side that thinks that they may have just put that bigger explosion in there to make it more cinematic. I don't remember any of the monkey landers crashing in the power room, but at the same time I'm usually never there when the monkey rounds start, and if I am I immediately leave to go to my perk machine that I'll be defending anyway.
  4. So I posted this on the CoD forums, but didn't get any response so I figured I would repost it here and see if anyone here could let me know what they think. I haven't seen any people mention this and it was actually pointed out to me, but around the map there are servers that have a red lightning bolt on them just like the power. I was only able to locate 3 of these servers, but what I was thinking is there were the 3 with it on them, and the 4th might still be around, or it could actually be the button that you press the first time to turn on the power. Now, the first one is right next to the stamin-up machine in the window with all the burning servers and if you look in there you can see the lightning bolt on one of them. The other two are located in the main building with the power. One is on the ground level of the main building, the same room with the Richtofen doll. The 3rd is the room above that room and below the power room. The reason why I think it's curious is because of the screen going black and white again when you free the spirit, meaning the power is out again, so I think it makes some sense at least. I have looked across the whole map, but those three are the only ones I was able to locate and why I considered the actual power room being the location of the 4th one, so maybe have everyone try shooting these spots. I know it's still a long shot, but with all the other theories floating around, it doesn't seem too ridiculous.
  5. That one handed death machine would be the winter's howl.
  6. The matchmaking is better definitely, but the leaderboards are far from fixed and I would rather that issue be fixed than the matchmaking.
  7. Well you're lucky that your leaderboards are fixed. I just finished a game and it overwrote my high score with a lower one still. The matchmaking seems to be a vast improvement though and I'm quite happy with that.
  8. I'm sure you guys have seen this, but there's a lot of talk going on over at the Treyarch "Unofficial" fan page and someone who claims to work for Treyarch is talking to some of the fans asking about the next step in the mystery man easter egg. He says that the death machines are part of the easter egg and it's not a wrong step, but necessary to continue the easter egg, which he also said isn't done yet. Also, supposedly there's a theory that's already out, that's close but not right. He wouldn't say what theory it was or who's theory it was, but that it was out there. And the steps from Vorkuta are indeed related to the steps in the easter egg. He does mention too that blowing up the rocket might not be a good thing to do when doing the easter egg. I don't know if any of it is true and that guy is just trolling, but if so, it means that we have a parameter to work with as the next step needs to happen during the time that you have the death machines and maybe refrain from blowing up the rocket. Here's the link to the facebook page if you haven't seen it yet. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Treyarch/43119577723#!/pages/Treyarch/43119577723
  9. Well, I've been reading up on this Andrew Uliana's facebook who says he works for Treyarch. Granted the facebook page is the "unofficial" Treyarch fanpage so it's difficult to tell if he actually does work for them. Anyway, he said there's no way not to get the deathmachines, so getting them isn't a "wrong" step. He also said that one theory was close, but he wouldn't give which theory or who's theory so it seems one of the theories is on the right track, but it isn't done yet. He also said that the steps in Vorkuta are indeed related to the Mystery Man Easter egg. Take it for what it's worth, and I'm not completely convinced this guy actually works for Treyarch, but I figure you're looking at all angles, including the more ridiculous theories about it so you might as well add this to the pile. Here's the link to the facebook page that you can see what he says to the people asking questions. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Treyarch/43119577723#!/pages/Treyarch/43119577723
  10. I also think the red dot is a big clue and it looks like Takeo has to be the one to interact with it, since he's the only character that can see it. My suggestion is maybe he also has to have gersch's and you have to either split up the team 2 and 2 or maybe 3 at the first one and just the gersch at the red one and maybe jump in or something when you throw them. I'm down to try some of this stuff if anyone's interested you can add my roommates gamertag philosophiax411
  11. While the easter eggs may not be necessary to game play, they do reveal the story behind the actual game and that's what I'm more interested in. Sure, the game is fun and I want to get as high as possible, but since the leaderboards are still not fixed, I hate playing online after I get to a decent round because I don't want to lose that and I tend to get bored sometimes just playing the game. So, instead of worrying too much about how high of a round I get to, I want to know more about the storyline and they could have had a decent reveal of who the mystery man actually is, and reveal something about Sam, but all they do is have him say thank you and Sam get angry and you get death machines? I didn't just do 7 steps of some random stuff in order to reveal to me nothing more than when I started. I'll agree with you that there are COD titles that are great, namely COD4 AND WAW, but it's been progressively going downhill since then. And if they're going to try and make me pay an extra 60 dollars for the new zombie maps, at least give some significant information about the story in each map. Granted, supposedly there still is a huge easter egg in Kino that hasn't been discovered yet and that may give even more info for that map and I'm hopeful that there's much more to Ascension because I think there's a lot of potential for this series, and I would hate for it to be wasted. I do want to continue enjoying the COD series, but they haven't really helped much with that lately.
  12. That's one of the problems I would have with Treyarch then if this is the end of the Easter egg and they use the excuse saying they weren't expecting people to find it so easily. Look when the First strike trailer comes out and there was like 30 seconds of ascension footage. People on youtube made 20 minute long videos discussing what they saw during just those 30 seconds and they didn't think people would figure it out this soon? That shows how highly they think of the players. I mean look at the easter egg now in retrospect and how many clues they gave leading you through the entire easter egg. If there isn't any further steps to this easter egg that the PS3 gets in an update or we just haven't figured out, then I'm done buying any map packs for black ops and I'm done buying any COD titles. There's better designed games out there that don't have nearly half of the problems that black ops has and it just seems to me that if there's a legit problem with the game that many players are suffering from, but it doesn't benefit Treyarch to fix it, they ignore it. But if there's a way for Treyarch to make some money off of fixing something, it can't be done quick enough.
  13. As the person who answered your question said that the (0,0,0) is the lander, maybe as soon as you free the spirit you all get on the lander and use it before getting the DMs and have it take you back to the centrifuge room and you just stand in place and all shoot. It's worth a try at least.
