  1. Congrats my friends, you two certainly deserve the honour of being Dwellers.

@Undead, thnks to you and the rest of the staff for listening to me and embracing my ideas. It proves to me that you guys do in fact still care about what the users think. Thanks for restoring my faith, and I apologize for ever losing it :)

Congrats once again Flammen and Infest. I look forward to seeing you guys in action.

  2. This is just going to be a short thread, but I found the following picture online and found it to be another perfect example to why the Parisian Catacombs would be a perfect location for a Zombies map.

So, how does this link in? Well, let me take you all the way back to 2011. November 2011. The release of Black Ops 1. Specifically to one of my favourite maps, Kino. In this map we discovered that the theatre was used to 'brainwash' individuals. Well, let me put this simply, this theatre, in the Catacombs, was used in a similar fashion.

Don't get me wrong, I know this was dated 2004, but I just thought it was 1. pretty humorous, and 2. actually relevant to my favourite theory XD I hope you all enjoyed this very short theory and I'll see you all next time!

  3. I 100% agree we need to start right away. It just seems pointless waiting for an intro because no matter what there will ALWAYS be somebody unhappy with it. Personally I liked the second of the two posted by Grill, but I'm not sure what others think of that.

Another thing, you have a huge amount of users that are willing and able to get involved. Myself included. I specifically have two days of my week dedicated to making YouTube content and doing YouTube based work. Currently I spend both days on my personal channel, but I am more than happy, hell I would be exstatic, to change things around so one day is dedicated to my channel and one day is dedicated to CoDz. Secondly, I recently stopped posting Call of Duty content on my channel so I have a backlog of videos and ideas and theories and such just waiting to be created and uploded. Plus I really want to get back into the Call of Duty world but all of my Subscribers are subscribed for Pokemon content so it would not work at all... Haha I sound like I'm blowing my own trumpet, but I genuinely think I can benefit the channel

I also liked Rissole's idea of Way or Chopper handling the channel. They both have experience, and are probably the best minds for differentiating between beneficial content and content that should be left out.

I think CoDz needs a solid discussion about all this. The YouTube channel is clearly something that we all want to get going ASAP, and there are a bunch of people willing to be involved and that have expressed interest. I mean think about it... Who has the best strategies around? CoDz does. Who has the best theories around? CoDz does. Who has the best damn community around? That's right. CoDz does. Who has some of the best players in the world in that community? CoDz does. Let's show the world what CoDz is made of; and show the world we are the best damn Zombie slayers around.

  4. Just to reiterate the things people above me have said, I've actually made a pretty huge thread about this too. It's awesome other people come up with the same ideas :D Check it out here http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/vBulle ... ay-to-Hell

The video posted by MrRoflWaffles is very closely linked to this theory so I'm sure you will be interested!

It's such an old thread that I never really came back to update it after the release of Black Ops 2, but I DID however upload an updatory theory to my YouTube channel. I've also posted the original theory to it. You can watch them below:

    The original theory:

    Jr5WlhhpQ-g

    The updated theory:

    mXqUMd_o2bM

The first video was my first ever YouTube video so it's pretty freaking terrible, but it has all the information of my original theory. The second is much better as it was uploaded only 4 months ago, and basically ties in the idea of TranZit with the Catacombs theory. It's a little outdated since the release of Die Rise, but my channel doesn't upload Call of Duty anymore so I never really got round to updating the theory after its release... One day I will do that in the form of a thread, but right now time is a little thin on the ground to do so XD

Anyways, I really like your theories and this thread in general is very well put together. I'm gonna be very forward here and offer a hand out to you. I would love to chat about all this sometime with you. Y'know, put two heads together in a collaboration to turn what is essentially two brilliant theories into one SUPERDOOPERAWESOMEEPIC theory. I think given we are both very interested in the idea of the Parisian Catacombs theory and clearly we both have a decent amount on knowledge on the matter, it seems logical for us to come together and put together the best thread possible. Who knows? Maybe it will be as good as an AlphaSnake theory

Let me know what you think of my theories, and if you are interested in a collaboration some day :)

  5. I wouldn't expect any help any time in the future. None of you were around during the BO1 Zombies discussions, and it was WORSE than now. There was so much discussion on the potential continuation of the Ascension Easter Egg it was unreal. Treyarch STILL have told us nothing on whether there is in fact more to the Ascension Easter Egg. For all we know, the Treyarch employees are all sat together pointing and laughing at the great success of the Ascension Easter Egg. It could be their greatest success.

Besides, what would we all be here for if they gave us hints whenever we got stuck? I'm sure things will get clearer over time, just be patient my friends ;)

  6. OOC: Okay, so this is my first post here. I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, but you guys will have to let me know whether I'm doing good or bad  Anyways, here goes!

    24th September, 1969.

It was dark. The cold and bare stone room had begun to leak and the rain was beginning to flood the once safe haven for Dawn. Dawn hated the rain. In fact, she hated anything remotely wet and did her best to avoid it at all cost. She desperately wanted to escape Great Britain because it rained so often, however that would involve crossing vast oceans of yet more water, and she hadn’t worked up the courage to do this. She slept softly, a hand tightly gripped around a blade, and a small candle burning next to her face attempting to keep her warm.

There was a sudden knock at the door. Dawn's eyes snapped open and darted around the darkened room, and her hands clutched tightly around her weapon. She slowly sat up, and snaked toward the corner of the room as silently as she could. Her eyes darted from the shadowed door, to the boarded up window, to the candle that still dimly burnt in the centre of the room. Something entered the lock on the door. It scraped around, as if trying to claw its way through the metal. The sound reminded her of one of the most painful memories of her childhood. Her weakened mind drifted back to that day.

It was 1967. Dawn was sat in her bedroom, playing with her favourite toys. She was an innocent young girl. Just 13 years old. She heard a familiar creaking of the bottom step of her Mother’s home. Suddenly, she darted towards the door, feared streaked across her face. She slid the bolt across the door, locking it from the inside, before running and hiding under her bed covers, shaking with fear. Something slid inside the gap between the door and the frame, scraping along the bolt attempting to unlock the door.

Dawn began to shake uncontrollably. The bolt slid back. The door opened. Footsteps paced slowly toward Dawn, still hidden beneath the covers. A shadow loomed over her. A grim laugh echoed throughout the room. The covers were lifted and Dawn let out a tiny screech of fear. A horrific, evil smirk spread across the man’s face.

The man was Dawn's Step Father. Her Mother had let him move in a year previous, following the death of her Father, who was mysteriously murdered in 1965. Since his appearance, Dawn has lived a life of fear. Her Step Father abused her. Over the years, Dawn had accumulated a number of scars across her body, most notably one that ran from her hair line right down to her lower back. A feeling of pure hatred boiled in her stomach whenever she saw his face and that same evil smirk that crossed it whenever her Mother was away. He had a thick German accent and throughout the years he had performed many ‘experiments’ on Dawn. For the most part this involved injecting her with various substances, including some form of sedative, before proceeding to rape her. These substances gave out a strange orange glow, and once or twice she overheard him referring to her as a ‘test subject’, before reporting that there was still no change in her behaviour.

He bent over her, pinning her to the bed by wrapping his large hands around her throat. Dawn opened her mouth to scream, but he crushed her wind pipe so that no more than a whimper escaped her body. He slapped her hard across the face, before trying to rip off her clothes. Dawn kicked out at him in a desperate attempt to fend him off, but he sat across her before laughing in her face. Dawn's eyes darted around her, desperately looking for a way out of this nightmare. Her arms flailed around uncontrollably. She was desperately looking for some form of escape, but just like every other time, he pulled out a syringe full of sedative and prepared to inject her with it.

Suddenly, some form of instinct thrust her arm toward a candle the other side of the room. Dawn had no idea what caused this reaction, but it was strange enough to distract her Step Father momentarily. The flame of the candle had erupted. It rose up into the air before forming a ball of fire, full of fierce energy and intense heat. Dawn threw her hand toward her attackers face and the ball followed, smashing him with such force it threw him across the room. The candle flame continued to grow until the house began to burn with it. The flames were destroying everything around Dawn and yet she felt no pain, no burn. Her Step Father stared straight into her eyes, fear etched across his face.

“What have I created?” he croaked in his thick German accent. “I was attempting to create some form of super human being using the power of Element 115… I succeeded.”

Dawn stood up and stood over the man who was once her monster. She raised her hands into the air, and the flames around her followed. She could feel the heat from the flames inside her, building up a rage like nothing she had felt before. Then, with one sweep of her hands, the flames threw themselves at her Step Father, engulfing him. She could hear his screams, smell his skin burning, and yet she felt no remorse.

Suddenly, she heard a scream from downstairs. Once again the step creaked, and she could her footsteps running up the stairs. She felt the rage building once more as she remembered the fear that filled her every time she heard that familiar creak. Dawn raised her hands once more, and once more the flames danced around her. She prepared herself. The door opened and without hesitation she launched the flames at the being entering her room. Before she even had time to scream, Dawn’s Mother was engulfed in the blaze. Dawn screamed. The rage drained away and was replaced with panic. She raced over to her Mother, but she was too late. Her Mother was dead. Dawn dropped to her knees, the flames still dancing around her, still causing her no harm.

Dawn didn’t move. She refused. The entire house had burnt to the ground. Her Mother and Step Father were nothing but ash. The flames had died away and she was left there alone. She heard sirens. She stood up, turned, and ran off into the forests in the distance. She kept running, never stopping. She couldn’t stop. This was the worst day of her life and she needed to escape it. She kept running, never looking back. She did her best to avoid any form of thoughts as it was just too painful for her to bear. She found a dry patch beneath the branches, and curled up, alone and crying. Then out of nowhere, there was an explosion. She looked up to see a huge cloud of smoke rising into the air, vaguely resembling a mushroom.

Dawn suddenly came back to reality. She couldn’t linger in the past when there was potentially danger present right now. The lock clicked into place and the door opened. In stepped a man who proceeded to point a gun at her head. Dawn recognised him instantly. He was tall, wearing a military outfit, with a Swastika pinned to his chest. This man had been chasing her ever since the incident two years previously. He smirked that same grim smirk that always crossed her Step Father’s face. That same grim smirk that still haunted Dawn in her nightmares to this day.

“I have you now,” he said before breaking into a manic laugh.

  7. Undead, is this still open? I'd freaking love to be involved, and I really want to get back into writing again and I think this could be the perfect way! I will start working on my character right away, and if there is still space, I will submit it to you as soon as possible!

My Skype is DarkJolteon23 if you don't have me added already (I'm losing track of who does and doesn't :? )

  8. Its apparently in the PRESENT! This is so obvious to me that i dont know know why people keep asking this. Ok, first clue: Marlton's watch. It has a digital reader and has a calculator or something on it. Thats kinda a given. Second, Marlton knows the specs of EVERY gun on the map. With that been said, the box has future weapons in it! Duh! Dude, your not going to find a HAMR in the '60s! FLATOUT. Also, in regards to Moon and Nuketown. It kinda proves the same thing. On Nuketown, theres guns like the M27 and the LSAT with a DIGITAL ammo reader. So that proves that if Moon and Nuketown were happening @ the same time, when do you think it is!? Has to be the present. Duh!

Incorrect. The guns in fact have no relevance whatsoever to the storyline. This fact is more known than pretty much anything else. This is easily provable, unless you can give me an explanation as to how an American military m16 ended up in a Nazi theatre? No? Okay then.

Currently it is still debated when green run is set however I still firmly believe that it is set in the sixties not in the future.

    -Jolteon

  9. But we know moon is durring 2025

We do NOT know Moon is inm2025, in fact I'm pretty sure it's in the 1960's given the sign in No Man's Land that says 1960, as well as the banner in the back of the complex that commemorates a group that existed in the 1960's.

shangri la is immediately after cotd, and at most a few months before moon

Under what grounds? In Call of the Dead, Richtofen says they went too far into the future, so wouldn't that imply that they actually went back in time and not "immediately" afterwards? And yes it may only be a few months before Moon when we PLAY in the game, bu not when we are there. We could play on a map for 2 days and then go 50 years into the future, and still say it's 2 days after that map. So you're right and wrong in those terms, based on how you phrased it and what you meant to say.

I wish you would stop being so difficult... To be honest I'm going to stop posting on this thread soon...I realized recently I couldnt care less WHEN the maps happen, just as long as they happen in 2 eras: before dooms day and after dooms day... You all can continue to fight over in inconclusively because there is NO way to prove who's right unless trayarch themselves tell us, which is unlikely...

If you make statements without proof then people are going to question them... Unfortunately for you there are a lot of people that DO care about the time the maps are set so getting involved in the discussion was going to provoke a response. As Tac said, there is no proof to anything so stating that Moon and Shangri La are 'clearly in 2025' was plain illogical.

  10. I'm sorry dude, but I find it very hard to think Dempsey, Takeo, Nikolia and even Samantha for that matter can survive a never ending swarm of zombies for 60 years. They would run out of food-if any-and most of all Vodka.

I'm sorry but it's not 60 years. There is unbelievable evidence recently come to light that strongly suggests that Green Run takes place directly after Moon. So in fact it is entirely possible it could be the original four :D

    -Jolteon

  11. It's 2025, people. The only real evidence pointing to it being in the 60s are the diner and the bus stop looking 60sish, but really that's it. Sometimes, the simplest answer is the best.

The fact of nuketown could also explain it, but think about it, we don't really know what time nuketown took place either.

I don't think a bus could be teleported randomly back through time. Richtofen can't just randomly do that crap. You guys are overthinking it. There's more pointing to it being in 2025 than not.

Actually we DO know when Nuketown takes place. We know it took place during the same time as Moon, and we know Moon took place in the 60's. Other than weaponry and perhps the bus/robot, there is not really anything to point towards 2025. Plus, if Green Run WAS in 2025, then it would have been 60 years since the nukes hit Earth. 60 years is a REEEEEAAAAAALLLLLLYYYYYYY long time. There would be sign of SOME sort of recouperation. The map looks as if the nukes hit within the last few years.

  12. Good day all, this is Dark Jolteon with a quick theory regarding the morse code Easter Eggs on TranZit. As you have probably guessed from the title, I have a sneaky suspiscion that our old pals who we last saw on the Moon are in fact trying to contact us!

Firstly, the morse code lights. Here are two videos by MrRoflWaffles briefly explaining them:

    GwXudiFx73k

    lme_kiq3mJo

So, now you have an idea of what the morse code Easter Egg actually is, let's briefly discuss what my theory is. Basically, my idea is that it is potentially possible that the morse code is actually being sent to us by our old heroes, Takeo, Nikolai and Dempsey.

Just briefly consider this. We currently have no clue as to where our old friends are or what they are doing, and yet we have mysterious morse code being sent out to us from an unknown source. Clearly someone that knows the details behind what is going on is trying to contact us, and who better than our old heroes? Speaking primarily from a logical point of view, Treyarch KNOW we adore our old characters and it would be plain illogical to cut them from the game as people would just not like it.

Thanks for reading, and leave your thoughts, criticisms and opinions below!

    -Jolteon

  13. I still say it would make more sense like this for tranzit green run (see? Compromise! :D )

    1960:kino,Assension.

2000ish--> cotd (ah I see the problemb, we must have gone to far into da future! Look the teleporter is compleatly broken!...) shangri la,

    2020ish moon---> BOOM!

    2021ish---> green run

Although in a linear fashion this makes sense, there's just no way to ignore the mountains of evidence that point to Moon being in the 60s and Green Run to directly follow it.

    -Jolteon

What evidence? Sorry if you've already answered that question..

Well, if you read the rest of the thread there is a lot of discussion of it. I'm not 100% positive on the ins and outs of it all, I just know there is a lot of evidence

    -Jolteon

  14. I still say it would make more sense like this for tranzit green run (see? Compromise! :D )

  15. PS. Can everyone seriously stop calling it Tranzit? It's Green Run, Tranzit is the mode, and will be for all the DLC. It will get confusing if you refer to it or any future DLC as Tranzit itself. So please try and use the correct name for now on please. Thanks :)

I keep forgetting that it's actually called Green Run. I'll try and remember for the future but I can't promise anything

Also, thanks for clearing up the CotD issue in a much cleaner fashion than I could

    -Jolteon

  16. Okay. Let me put another theory out there. I'm still fighting the point that TranZit is in the 60s, and I want to give another take on how it is plausible for CotD to still be modern day. I'm going to loosely talk of what Magna spoke of above me. I'm going to talk of the 'Butterfly Efect'.

For those who do not know what the Butterfly Effect is, here is a brief explanation. The butterfly effect is a term used in chaos theory to describe how small changes to a seemingly unrelated thing or condition (also known as an initial condition) can affect large, complex systems. The term comes from the suggestion that the flapping of a butterfly's wings in South America could affect the weather in Texas, meaning that the tiniest influence on one part of a system can have a huge effect on another part. Taken more broadly, the butterfly effect is a way of describing how, unless all factors can be accounted for, large systems like the weather remain impossible to predict with total accuracy because there are too many unknown variables to track.

In addition to this, the Butterfly Effect is often used to describe the effect of time travel. It is said that an individual who travels back through time can completely change the future depending on there actions in the past. As the legend goes if you travel back into the past and step on a butterfly, then something in the future will be completely changed.

So, how does this link into our Zombies storyline? Well, our old heroes were in the present. This we know. Call of the Dead was set in 2012/13 and our heroes were there. Richtofen states to the CotD cast that they travelled 'too far' into the future. Hence, they needed to travel back. That is what we did in the Easter Egg in CotD. We sent them back in time to Shangri La. So, they went back in time, hence the Butterfly Effect can potentially be fulfilled. Now, I'm not saying Richtofen stamped on a butterfly in Shangri La (although it's highly plausible he did), but what I m saying is that the past was changed, and so the future changed with it. Up until the end of the Moon Easter Egg, the Zombies storyline was following our line of time. Everything that we have seen has happened in our timeline and effectively the Zombies storyline was our past.

So how do we have this seemingly implausible series of events? Well, no mere butterfly could change so much of the future right? Well, how about three nukes hitting the Earth? That would kill a hell of a lot of butterflies, and would completely change the future. So, in this particular instance, CotD no longer exists as the future and because of our actions in CotD the future most certainly is black. That's right, it was completely our fault.

As a brief summary because the above may be difficult to understand (my unique writing style can be confusing, I know), our actions in Siberia as the CotD cast, sending Richtofen back in time, effectively 'activated' the Butterfly Effect when he destroyed the Earth with the nukes, effectively erasing the future we have seen in CotD. It's all very complicated but if you can get your head around it, it makes perfect sense. Perhaps someone who understands what I'm saying can post the theory in an easier to understand manor

    Thanks for reading,

    -Jolteon

  17. I sure as hell wouldn't be aiming for Siberia. You'd aim for the super-powers. The USA, Western Europe and China.-Jolteon

:? Please, try not to launch a nuke anytime soon.

    Okay Jolteon? :P

Actually try not to launch a nuke ever.

    I can't make any promises.

    *Swiftly moves to Siberia*

  18. The problem is that COTD and Nuketown don't mix. COTD = around present time (no signs of earth being destroyed) . Nuketown = 60s (earth destroyed soon after nuke in mp). They just don't line up... so either nuketown has to be thrown out of storyline, or we have to accept multiple dimensions... so idk, it seems 3arc has messed up.

Not Necessarily. CotD is set 50 years AFTER Moon and TranZit. 50 years is a LONG time to try and rebuild. Besides, who says that Siberia was particularly badly hit? If I were Maxis and I were the one launching nukes at the Earth, I sure as hell wouldn't be aiming for Siberia. You'd aim for the super-powers. The USA, Western Europe and China. Siberia probably got away relatively unscathed by the whole nuking fiasco and so it is entirely plausible that CotD could still happen despite the progression of events in Moon and TranZit.

Believe me when I say Treyarch simply would not have made that mistake.

    -Jolteon
