  1. I honestly think that even after the end of Zombies, it's legacy will live on. We'll all still be here, discussing strategies, attempting world records etc.

I for one definitely won't be parting from these forums even if we never see Zombies after BO2.

  2. Jolteon I choose you! Lol

I'm honoured that you guys have so much faith in me :D CoDz has called for a man to step up and be the man to lead from the front. I will answer that call.

However, I also call out to you CoDz. I call to you all to join me in a quest to not only make a successful YouTube channel, but I ask you to help me show the world that we are the best community out there and we are truly the best Zombies forum there is.

I bid you stand, MEN OF THE WEST!

  3. in-house: obvious choices would be stwrsbob, chopper (if he had the time), rofl, jolteon.

Haha I'm flattered  I would be more than happy to do this of course, should the rest of the Forum be ok with it, but I wouldn't wish to intrude if the community wasn't ok with it :)

at this point, it's like a town meeting - but no one is running it. we're all chiming in ideas, but unfortunately no one can do anything about it. we need a leader to step up, to which we can all convey our ideas and have change be done.

I suggest that we make a new thread, and hold nominations for who we see best fit to run the youtube (and yes, you can nominate yourself). If we can show stwrsbob that we have an individual who is accountable, then I think we could be good to go... intro or not.

You've pretty much summed it up perfectly. The problem we hve is that right now there is nobody willing to take charge and put the extra effort it. There are plenty of people willing to do it, but we have to remember whoever is in charge is directly representing CoDz and so they have to someone that can be trusted with the responsibilty to the death. Personally I think we need somebody who is fairly well known in the Zombies community and is extremely trustworthy to take charge, and then the community can "submit" videos for the channel and that individual, or a group of individuals, can filter what should or should not go onto the channel.

On top of this, there can be a group of people that will regularly upload to the CoDz channel. Once again, these individuals will be trusted members of the community, not just any guy from the forum.

I dunno... It's a complicated aituation but I think in the long run it will only be beneficial to the forums.

the timing is NIGH codz, WHAT SAY YOU? WHAT SAY YOU?

Lord of the Rings reference FTW!!!

  4. I personally consider myself an extremely average player. I have some really good games, but for the most part I'm nothing special. Because of this I think that the definition of high round for me would be what I believe I have the potential to reach, which, for the most part, is 50 solo (other than Ascension which would be 150 cuz it's so easy  )

    Co-Op, well I guess 30 on every map I haven't hit 25 on and 35 I haven't hit 30 on. That jsut leaves 3 maps. Der Riese I would say 40, Ascension 50 and Moon 60.

  5. Sound idea Jolteon. PDT is proven to be popular, and heck, you could even put some gameplay in or just show footage of what is actually being talked about if the guys really desire. But I know it would need to be reviewed since it would essentially be representing CoDz, which is why it's not called CoDzCast anymore.

We need one of those CoDz meetings we had ages ago where the staff live streamed it or something, but you could give your opinion and views on Skype. There were lots of participants from memory.

Need more input from lots of people!

We could at least advertise the podcast on the channel if not post the podcast on it :)

I completely agree. We need to have a big open meeting. There are actually a bunch of things that the community may wish to discuss so it would be seriously beneficial to the overall functioning of the site if we could all do a big gwet together.

  6. I think it would be awesome to see a nuch of videos outlining some of the biggest and best CoDz theories. A lot of them could still be relevant with s little tweaking here and there. On top of this, it would include the stuff mentioned above. Gameplay, stratergies, new theories, it could even outline updates to the forum etc.

Maybe, just maybe, if they would be up for it, it could also upload the Podcast Der Toten podcasts? Personally I think that it is something interesting for all Zombies fans and it would certainly get it some more exposure. Of course it would be up to you guys running it, I just thought it would be cool

I think we need to get together a group of people to properly discuss this one day. Kind of like a staff meeting kind of thing but with some of us regular users invited along. We can discuss the fine details and we can get this thing up and running. To me it just doesn't seem logical to let the YouTube channel go to waste.

  7. Actually, I'm criticizing the game and offering ideas that I think would be an improvement.

    This absolutely is the place.

In that case the title could be misleading. To me it suggests its a place to vent your annoyance at the changing series.

I'm sorry I don't mean to be a grouch  Sometime I can be weird and randomly blow up over random and insignificant things  I'm over reacting and I'm sorry :)

  8. They have made it harder by making you work for the Perks rather than just giving them to you.

So, buying a door leading to the perk and then having enough money to purchase it is giving you the perk?

I don't ever remember starting a Zombies map with a perk. I've always had to work for them.

I will be in the minority, I don't care if my likes are reciprocated or accepted. Outside of Grill's offer to play the map with me and share the enjoyment he gets out of it, nothing will change my mind. You can accept that or not, but I will not relinquish my campaign to discuss my discontent with the new direction of Zombies. This thread will continue with or without your input. If it really bothers you so much that I dislike MotD, maybe you should make an offer similar to Grill's...Or find a different thread to rant about.

Dude I couldn't care less whether you like the map or not. The issue I have is that you are effectively using a forum dedicated to appreciating Zombies as a way to vent your displeasure. This isn't the place.

  9. No other games make such huge changes to established strategies, they just add in deeper storylines, new characters, and new gear. They do not alter the staples of their game. The major problem is that what I thought was established as a Zombie staple has been tampered with.

See this is where I disagree massively. There a really A LOT of games that completely change between games despite having success with an old formula. Example number 1; Dragon Age. Dragon Age Origins was a truly awesome game, and yet when Dragon Age 2 came out, they completely altered the combat system and the general style of play. Did this deter from the overall functionality of the game? No! Of course it didn't!

To be completely honest, there hasn't been that much changed at all really when you really think about it. They have made it harder by making you work for the Perks rather than just giving them to you. They have put a focus on the storyline; but considering that is why the vast majority of us are here, I can't see why there is a problem with that. They've brought in new methods of play; new stratergies. Again, what is the issue here?

The simple fact is, Zombies has changed and it's not going back. So how about instead of spending your time complaining about how "Zombies is Changing for the Worse", how about you embrace the fact that most of the Zombies community are actually enjoying the changes and you consider the opinions of others? The changes would not have been made if the majority of the fan base didn't want them! I'm sorry my friend, but you are in the minority here. If it really bothers you that much then go back to BO1 and play those maps. Zombies has changed. Deal with it.

    End rant.

  10. there will be something big; you can garuntee that. However it won't be an all Zombies DLC. We saw at the CoD World Championships just how big the Multiplayer is now. There's no way they'll have the last, epic DLC without something badass for Multiplayer fans.

What we will most likely see is 4 Multiplayer maps, one of them most likely being a throwback to a classic (similar to Hazard on BO1, Terminal on MW3 and now Studio on BO2). As for Zombies however; well, who knows. I doubt there'ss be multiple maps. I personally think we will see one huge, epic map with an epic Easter Egg with either a huge cliffhanger at the end, like Moon, or with an epic conclusion that will represent the conclusion of Zombies. Who knows.

    -Jolteon

  11. I would assume it is because the Zombies team is hard at work with DLC 3 and 4. With the way the maps are evolving, you can bet it is taking a lot more work to complete each map. By doing it this way, the Zombies team get more chance to perfect the maps; rather than rushing them and having issues, complications and innevitably having fans losing faith. I personally think this is a smart move.

  12. Well this thread certainly is a big angry bowl of hatred  Let's all calm down and sing a happy song together:

Now, onto my opinions. Okay, TranZit sucks. Okay, you have to work harder. But you have to get used to it; Zombies is not what it was on World at War. I'm with you guys; nothing pleases me more than travelling back to good ol' World at War and slaying some Zombies on Der Riese. But Treyarch woudn't be changing Zombies so much if it weren't for the better. Zombies would die if it didn't change.

World at War showed us the start of the Zombies saga. With Black Ops they showed us the potential of Zombies with the epic Easter Eggs. Black Ops Two represents stage three; the era of building our own fate. Zombies is evolving to keep itself alive. If in Black Ops they just pumped out the same old Der Riese style maps, people would have gotten bored and given up. They definitely would have if they didn't change for Black Ops 2. Treyarch have done what 99% of companies fail to do. Continue one storyline to expand over three games. THREE GAMES. And, to be completely honest, I wouldn't be too surprised to see it reach a fourth, or even a game completely solo.

Would it be nice to have another Der Riese styled map? Sure it would. Would I much prefer that Zombies evolves and continues for as long as it possibly can? Most definitely. Treyarch are a truly fantastic company that actually listens to fan feedback. We should respect that and accept that things have to change so that Zombies can live on.

  13. It certainly is a plausible link. However, I think it is probably a little TOO hypothetical and coincidental to perhaps be considered as a definitive link.

Personally, I would expect Darvas to be the "Fantasy" map, although I'm pretty sure I would be the only one to follow this, and given the last map of BO1 was originally supposed to be Paris NOT Moon, this one is difficult to place. Certainly if it were to be a city map I would expect Paris or London. Specifically the Parisian Catacombs. Especially given how long Treyarch have had to perfect a Paris map for an epic conclusion to BO2. However if we were to go down the line of Moon, I guess I would say I would expect us to be travelling either to Hell, or to Aether itself.

That's probably just my wishful thinking  However I correctly predicted China so who knows! Good job!
