  1. I thin WaW2 is possible, and in fact probably the best business move. Lots of grumblings around ghosts and Advanced Warfare. Go back to a game that was successful and critically welcomed with open arms.  The war didn't end when the Axis surrendered. Lots of high ranking officials went into hiding, dug in for final stands... There's tons of content that they didn't touch in WaW, that they could go back on. I get where Black Ops was a continuation, but it wasn't direct. You're not opening your mind, I've considered all your ideas. Your one knock is that there is nothing to go off of, and while they can't just go and take missions out of the log, there were tons of battles not represented in WaW. Treyarch could make whatever they did, work.

    Imagine this (realistic fiction):

    Black Ops: World At War.
    Wednesday, May 2nd 1945
Black Ops Briefing, US Outpost. Berlin, Germany.

We can confirm that Hitler has committed suicide. His body has been brought back to the outpost for Autopsy. However, we have confirmed sources stating that the remainder of the Hitler Hierarchy has scrambled to gather all advanced weaponry in their possession, to try and organize a counter strike against the allied forces. Reports have few details, other than a few locations, and that they are in possession of  Nuclear weaponry and, Code Name Bell, or as the Nazis refer to it, Die Glocke.

Your mission is to travel the European countryside in search of the remainder of Hitlers forces, end their counter strike, and destroy their weapons. Be prepared for the fight of your life. The Nazis are in a panic, with their leader giving up on life, they feel it is their mission to continue his vision to the very end. However, you have a new, yet familiar enemy. Another nation is in the hunt for the Nazis, not to end their Tyranny, but to gain the weaponry for their own good. The world thinks the war with Germany is over, but the world is still at war.

  2. As Mark Lamia said in his DICE presentation, World at War was Treyarch's 3rd World War 2 Call of Duty game. I highly doubt they will make another.

i agree, yet they have done nothing on new gen! The devs themselves have said they wished they had had more time on WaW. I think its a strong possibility. Only release to never have a sequel since CoD 4. (Not counting ghosts/ AW which we know both will)

WW1 limits your choice of historically accurate guns by an unreal amount. Assault rifles weren't invented until WW11 so youre talking about a game of semi autos and bolt actions lol. Hell, only planes in the sky were biplanes lol. If anyone could make it work, it would be 3arc, but Idk how that would be received by the public.

  3. couldn't agree more, with everything you said Hells.

As dead as it was, I feel strange saying another WWII game (if done right, as the first WaW was done) would be a breath of fresh air. Simplify MP again. Keep the unlock system as it is, same with the classes (10 slots) and have it out from there. Bring back the dark, emotionally charged campaign. MAKE ME LOVE CoD again Treyarch! I know you can :)

  4. Well, if WaWII indeed does happen, then I'll have lost all hope for Treyarch ever being a creative company again.

Because they go back to a game they haven't visited in 7 years? What else is there to do? Everything has been visited already. If you thought a WW2 game was never gunna make it to next gen because it got beat to death last gen you're terribly mistaken. Why not the company who made the best console WW2 game last gen, make their mark immediately?

  5. If they can make black ops 2 happen they can make WaW2 happen lol. There was still a lot of behind the scenes stuff going on after the campaign in WaW ended. Maybe Black Ops: World at War? something like that? They didnt post that picture of the roman 2 for nothing.

  6.  Not sure what glitches you're referring to?

They added bumpers to the glitches that allow you to get out of the way from zombies. The one in the hallway by the first box spawn and the other jump glitch, can't remember where it was. So you can get up there, but constantly have to be pressing backwards (walking backwards) or it'll bump you off.

  7. @RedDeadRiot Yes, I agree! Loved upgrading weapons for the first time. I was just blown away when I upgraded the Ray Gun. Remember reading how the X2 didn't do splash damage anymore only to test it out and die hahaha. Good times.

God bless 3Arc for making Flopper, all I gotta say on that topic lol. Splash damage killed me so many times when hustling into the teleporters lol

  8. It seems the infected rounds are so random. some times like you mentioned they don't happen often while other times they happen every 4 rounds. hit or miss. I feel like we should keep a log somewhere of that.

Side note:  Agreed with it being a fun challenge. I enjoy doing small little challenges on the maps besides just going for high rounds, gives you a different way to play.  My favorite challenge is the 2-box challenge. only allowed to hit the box/printer twice. that's it.. I always end up with the rocket launcher and a pistol. ha.

Mayhem is actually one of my favorite guns on this map, I train through the entire map ( start through hub, work through exo area, back out the other side through to the medic area, and mayhem is clutch when they go through the "air lock" areas, throw a rocket against a wall every time i go through them. Helps thin them out.

  9.

    (Hopefully)

    Lets have some fun!

Give me your favorite moment you can remember from the original. It can be from any part of the game. Zombs, MP, Co-Op, or Campaign.

My favorite moment was easily finally beating the Co-Op campaign on Veteran. Never felt so accomplished in a game in my life. That final push up those stairs when the enemies are raining frags on you is a sonofabitch.

    P.S.

(If you're reading this 3Arc ( :P) plzplzplzplzpzlpzlzplzpzlpzlpzlz World at War dos mi amigos!)

  10.

What I miss most about the "old days" was the ability for us to take any idea we had, and seriously consider it. Now, there are too many existing theories and storylines that seem to contradict 'new' theories, and it makes it very hard to freely think as we once did. This site is leaps and bounds above what I ever thought it'd become, however I do reflect upon the "old days" with alot of nostalgia of all the hours I spent.

    Head on.

  11. Man, i remember the days of the devkit.... Shame that the "console" that built the franchise is thrown to the wayside now. I know TV consoles really thrust the series into the light but PC is CoD's home.

Imagine if they brought it back for (potential) WaW2! I would have to build a new PC cuz mine is about 2/3 years behind.

Hold up while I pick my internal organs back up off the floor cuz my body just exploded.

Wishful thinking is a helluva drug.

  12.

So mobile friendly, a caveman could access it! Great work guys.

Yeah it's fully responsive and to be honest we are "more" interested in feedback from mobile and tablet users than we are web users, I simply haven't tested it as thoroughly as I want too but the suite has been rested extensively by the community and invision (it's pretty stable mobile and web). All feedback and bugs are welcome to be reported and improvement suggestions. We (staff) have the ability to make changes but the site is for everybody that uses it and we need to make it work for everyone.

The custom pages we are doing need to be as mobile friendly as possible as well, but some just won't be as responsive (by design) - we'll do what we can to make every page as mobile friendly as possible though.

I hear you loud and clear, I'll use my tablet throughout the day on the new site and give you some feedback once i get through most of it. I'm using a galaxy tab 4. Maybe someone on an iPad could kick in some input too.

  13. Uhm i just like crawling down the stairs in DR head deep in zombie limbs. WaW was amazing, from campaign, to mp, to zombies. Campaign was even dark and evil feeling. Even if they did make a WaW 2 they NEED to capture that same feeling In campaign or it would ruin the game as a whole to me. Zombies would still kick ass obv, but that campaign made the game for me.

I DO remember playing Shangri La for about 15 hours the day it came out till Niik, Aciid and whoever our 4th was solved the EE.

still cant believe we were first in world to finish it lol
