  1. fallout amazon prime video tv show series season 1 2 confirmation renewal

Amazon Prime Video has renewed its Fallout television show for another season, confirming that Season 2 is in the works. This news arrives just over a week after the series' release on April 10, which premiered two days earlier than expected to rave reviews from both fans and critics.

We loved Fallout Season 1, and you can read about why in Game Informer's Fallout review, so we're excited to revisit the wasteland with Lucy, Ghoul, Maximus, and others. As for when to expect Season 2 of Fallout, that remains unknown. The announcement simply confirms another season is coming with no details on Season 2's production.

Fallout joins a string of other hit Amazon Prime Video series currently airing on the streamer service, like The Boys (with a new season dropping June 13) and Invincible, which just had its second season wrap up. It also joins a string of other successful video game adaptations, like HBO's The Last of Us, which is getting a Season 2 next year, Peacock's Twisted Metal, Netflix's Arcane, and Netflix's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Fallout Season 1 is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.

Did you enjoy Season 1 of Fallout? Let us know in the comments below!

Capcom will release a new update for Dragon's Dogma 2 which will make some changes to Dragonsplague and adjust some Pawn behaviours, making them less prone to falling off the side of cliffs in the process.

First off, let's talk about Dragonsplague, the affliction that can consume Pawns, resulting in some pretty devastating consequences. Capcom said its next patch will reduce the infection frequency of Dragonsplague, and also make it easier to spot.

"For example, when infected, glowing eyes will be more noticeable," the developer explained.

Netflix will no longer publicly share its subscriber numbers, the streaming giant has announced, as it reaps the rewards of its recent password-sharing crackdown.

In a business update, Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters said the move was due to the ongoing evolution of its business model to incorporate revenue from advertising and from subscribers who now have to pay extra to add-on access for friends and family outside their primary household.

This meant that deriving Netflix's success purely from subscriber figures was now "historical" maths, Peters said.

No Rest For the Wicked launched in early access yesterday, but has unfortunately hit a few bumps on its debut.

The Diablo-like game from Ori and the Blind Forest developer Moon Studios currently holds a mixed review average on Steam, with the top comment stating that while there are definitely the bones of a good release here, its developer "still needs to cook".

"I want to like this, but the performance is just not in a good enough place for me to recommend it right now," one player wrote, while another adds: "Wait till further development/release if you have any self control."

The upcoming Donkey Kong Country-themed expansion to Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan has been struck by a delay.

The huge new area, themed around Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, will now be fully bolted-on to the existing Mushroom Kingdom park in "late 2024", Universal Studios said today.

That's a delay of around six months, as the Donkey Kong area was previously set to open sometime this spring. Readjust your holiday plans appropriately!

PlayStation maker Sony is considering a purchase of movie studio giant Paramount, according to reports.

Both The New York Times and Bloomberg report that Sony is interested in an offer for Paramount, which itself owns MTV, CBS and Nickelodeon, and operates streaming service Paramount+.

Sony, of course, already has its own vast film and television empire, and has bought other movie studios before - most notably Colombia Pictures, home to Spider-Man and Ghostbusters. It's interesting to look at Paramount's franchises in that light, and imagine how PlayStation could elevate one of those in a similar way to how it has championed Spider-Man.

While Manor Lords may at first glance seem similar to the Total War series, its developer has said the upcoming strategy game should not be seen as a competitor.

Writing on Steam, Manor Lords developer Greg laid out a list of things the game is not. Top of this list are the very plain to see words: Manor Lords is not a Total War competitor.

Rather, developer Slavic Magic said its upcoming game is a "city builder with battles".

Bethesda has been making headlines left, right and centre for its video games recently. That's right, we simply can't stop talking about...Fallout! Yes, that series hasn't had a new release in many, many years, but thanks to Amazon's hit TV adaptation, has seen a renewed interest from fans.

Starfield, however, has not had the same reception despite being a more recent release and one which Bethesda proclaimed would be its next big thing. But, don't worry. Among all the noise of us falling over Fallout, the studio has finally remembered its space-based RPG actually exists.

Speaking to IGN, Todd Howard confirmed that Bethesda is actually "doing a lot of Starfield work" as well as keeping busy on things such as Elder Scrolls 6 (which the exec said is the "focus as far as new development right now").

Visions of Mana, the next entry in Square Enix's Mana series, sadly won't have co-operative multiplayer.

1993's Secret of Mana was celebrated for allowing players to join forces against its hordes of squidgy, colourful enemies and many games in the series since have played similarly.

Visions of Mana, though, will be single player only due to the impact multiplayer would have on design and pacing.

In a surprise to no one, Amazon's Fallout TV series has been officially renewed for a second season.

The news was shared earlier today, with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy - who executive produce the show via Kilter Films - saying they "can't wait to blow up the world all over again".

"Holy shit," added showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner. "Thank you to [Nolan], Kilter, Bethesda and Amazon for having the courage to make a show that gravely tackles all of society's most serious problems these days - cannibalism, incest, jello cake."

  12. Two decades after it first launched on GameCube, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is getting a second life with a remake on Nintendo Switch. The remake doesn't release until May 23, but you can snag a physical preorder for just $50 (down from $60) at Geek Alliance. That's one of the best preorders we've seen for the popular upcoming title, and if you've yet to reserve a copy, this deal is definitely worth a closer look.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door features enhanced graphics and what Nintendo is calling "a suite of additional changes," though the company has yet to elaborate on those updates. Regardless, it's shaping up to be a great remake that'll be popular among nostalgic players and RPG fans alike.

GeekAlliance has a few other great deals available right now, including another preorder discount for Luigi's Mansion 2 HD on Nintendo Switch. The game is an HD Switch port of the 3DS classic that launches on June 27, but preorders are discounted to just $50. Like Paper Mario, this one has less than 500 copies available at the price point and comes with free shipping.

While you wait for your games to arrive, you can pick up several Nintendo Switch games for cheap at Walmart, including Super Mario Bros. RPG for $43 (was $60), which is one of the better deals we've seen for the game since it arrived last November. Check out the list below for a few more Switch deals at Walmart. Walmart doesn’t indicate when the sale will end, but we can't imagine these discounts will stick around for long.

  13. What's old is new again, as Luigi is making a return to a familiar haunted mansion with Luigi's Mansion 2 HD on Nintendo Switch launching June 27. If you haven't locked in a preorder yet for Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, you can save $10 on the game by preordering at Geek Alliance. Like most first-party Nintendo games, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD has a $60 price tag, but you can get it for just $50 with this deal. The catch here is that your order won't arrive until after launch day, but Geek Alliance offers free shipping, and you will only need to wait a few extra days.

First launched on Nintendo 3DS under the title of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD gives the game a new coat of high-definition paint similar to the third entry in the series. Alongside the refreshed visuals there are quality-of-life updates, but beyond that, all the same puzzles, enemies, and even the ScareScraper multiplayer mode has been retained in this ghost-busting game starring Luigi.

For more Luigi-themed deals, Amazon has some adorable First4Figures collectibles of the green-clad plumber available. The special edition features Luigi with his adorable trusty companion, Polterpup, and both editions come with bright LED functions installed in the Poltergust G-00 backpack. You can also grab the threequel, Luigi's Mansion 3, on Switch for $50 as well.

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD isn't the only classic game coming to Switch this year. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is also getting a remake that launches next month. The classic 2004 GameCube title looks fantastic with its updated HD visuals, and Geek Alliance is also offering $10 off on a preorder for it--though, just like with the Luigi's Mansion 2 HD preorders, they won't be delivered until a few days after the launch date. Alternatively, you can pick up the Paper Mario remaster with a buildable battle stage diorama, but it's only available in the UK.

If you're looking for deals on already released Switch games, Walmart has discounts on several titles, including Super Mario Bros. Wonder, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and more. Check the list below for the full selection.

  14. stardew-valley-fishing.jpg?width=1920&he

You'd think after launching Stardew Valley's massive 1.6 update, creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone would want to catch his breath; but nope - Barone has just casually tossed out a new patch that, among other things, adds 40 new mine layouts for players to explore.

Barone confirmed a new update was on the way last week, teasing "a new fishing thing, and some new mining related stuff". Turns out Barone might have been udenrselling things a bit. Update 1.6.4 kicks off its patch notes with 20 new 'alternate' mine layouts - which can start appearing after players reach the bottom of mines - plus 20 new volcano mine layouts, which can appear after unlocking the shortcut between the caldera and the volcano entrance.

And there's more! Barone's mysterious "fishing thing" has revealed itself to be fish frenzies, and they're joined by four new fairy types, as well as a "special cutscene" that triggers after players help their new neighbours grow their family to the max. Additionally, it's now possible to place an extra eight non-fish items into fish tanks, mystery boxes and golden mystery boxes can be traded at Raccoon's shop, vinegar can be poured onto trees to stop them from ever growing moss, and the shaving enhancement now causes tree-specific drops.

  16. The gorgeous action-RPG No Rest for the Wicked launched today in Steam early access, letting PC players experience the dark fantasy adventure's first act plus a selection of side content. The game normally costs $40, but you can grab it for just $31.31 thanks to Green Man Gaming's launch deal on Steam keys.

To get the full No Rest for the Wicked launch discount, you will need to be a GMG XP member. Signing up is free, but you also have to spend at least $1 to unlock permanent membership perks, including access to exclusive discounts like this one. All games purchased at Green Man Gaming are immediately delivered to your email as official product keys that unlock via Steam.

No Rest for the Wicked is the next game from Moon Studios, the acclaimed development team behind Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. No Rest for the Wicked swaps the whimsical 2D side-scrolling of the Ori games for a dark fantasy top-down action-RPG approach inspired by Diablo and From Software's Dark Souls, while featuring the rich, hand-drawn visual style the studio is famous for. Just, y'know... way grimmer and darker than anything we saw in Ori.

No Rest for the Wicked's initial early access build features the first chapter of the campaign, side quests, optional boss battles, and a repeatable dungeon. Being a loot-driven RPG, there's also plenty of gear to collect. Be aware that buying No Rest for the Wicked's initial early access build is not the full game (at least not yet). As with other early access titles, it's lacking all the features and content planned for the final version--and chances are early players will encounter bugs and unpolished elements, but that's to be expected. However, early access players get an exclusive Carim Armor set as a reward for helping playtest the game, and thanks to Green Man Gaming's deal, you can save on the game, too. This one purchase grants access to future updates and the full version of No Rest for the Wicked.

No Rest for the Wicked earl access rewards

While Moon Studios has not announced a firm release date for No Rest for the Wicked, the final 1.0 release will include online co-op and competitive modes for up to four players, the full story campaign and world map, a farming system, and tons of additional side quests, bosses, dungeons, loot, and more. All this content will added via routine updates during the early access period on PC. The final version will also launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

  17. Sony launched the Inzone Buds late last year, offering a sleek and small alternative to traditional gaming headphones. These earbuds are aimed at PC players, though they also work well on PS5. Since they're equipped with the same drivers as the popular WH-1000XM5 earbuds and utilize Sony's excellent noise-canceling tech, they're an easy recommendation for those who discerning listeners who prefer earbuds. Fast forward to today, and the Inzone Buds are getting their first discount, bringing the price down to $178 (down from $200). Yes, they are still pricey, but some users will be able to use the Inzone Buds as a high-end replacement for general, non-gaming earbuds.

Aside from that caveat, there's not much to dislike about the Inzone Buds. Our Inzone Buds review found them to be a great alternative to many high-end gaming headsets on the market, and since they come with four different eartip sizes, you should have no trouble finding a comfortable fit. Note that, while the Inzone software is only available on PC, you'll still get support for all of PS5's built-in audio tech--such as Tempest 3D Audio and Dolby Atmos.

Amazon isn't advertising an end date for this deal, though it's listed as a "limited-time deal." If you're interested in the Inzone Buds, you should check them out as soon as you can.

  18. Some of Bethesda's Fallout games have seen an uptick in sales recently in Europe, and a big portion of this could be attributed to the Amazon Prime Video Fallout series.

According to GSD data (via GamesIndustry.biz), sales for Fallout 4 have risen by 7,500% week-on-week across Europe. Sales include both physical and digital copies sold in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, and Germany.

It's worth nothing that these sales likely aren't all contributed to the show. All of the Fallout games are on sale right now, with massive discounts for each title. 69% of the sales reported this week were on PC (where the games are on sale), while the other 31% were on PlayStation and Xbox. As a result, it earned number one on the European Weekly Top 10.

This isn't the only Fallout game to crack the top 10--Fallout 76 came in at number eight, with 85% of its sales being on PC. Behind that was Fallout: New Vegas at number nine and Fallout 3 at number 10.

It's also worth pointing out that this isn't the first time a video game has seen sales increase because of its show. Earlier last year, The Last Of Us Part 1 saw a huge increase in sales following its HBO premiere.

  19. Baldur's Gate 3 creator Larian might not be making Baldur's Gate 4, but its next two games, which will be based on original IP owned by the studio, has Larian's CEO thinking it could be the studio's "best work ever."

In a community update posted to Steam, Larian outlined some of its plans for the future, reiterating that Larian will be leaving the world of the Forgotten Realms behind and focusing on new endeavors.

"As an independent studio since 1996, we value freedom to follow our creativity wherever it leads," the post reads. "In this case, after six years in the Forgotten Realms and much discussion and rumination, we've decided to seize this opportunity to develop our own IPs. We're currently working on two new projects and we couldn't be more excited about what the future has in store."

What those games will be remains to be seen, as Larian says it's still "early days." However, the studio emphasized that "the sensibilities that brought you Baldur's Gate 3 are alive and well here at the Larian castle," and that the games will be "immersive experiences shaped by your choices."

Larian CEO Swen Vincke is certainly buying into the hype by his own admission, and is quoted in the community update saying that when he looks at the various plans the studio has in terms of visuals, gameplay, and narrative, he thinks it will be "our best work ever" and it makes him "excited like a kid."

"Yes, it's hype but it's hype because it really looks and feels good," Vincke said.

Vincke has previously said the studio wants to make a "very big RPG that will dwarf them all," but that Larian's next game won't be the proverbial big one. It will, however, be another step towards realizing that goal. As to why Larian opted not to make Baldur's Gate 4, Vincke said it would go against the studio's identity, telling GameSpot, "That's literally the opposite of what Larian is about. We want to do big, new things. We don't want to rehash the thing that we've done already."

That Larian thinks its best work is still ahead of it is certainly ambitious considering Baldur's Gate 3 has already become one of the most critically-acclaimed RPGs of all time, winning Game of the Year at every major video game focused awards show. But while Larian won't be making Baldur's Gate 3 DLC or Baldur's Gate 4, it is still updating the game, with its patch 7 update set to add improved endings and begin introducing official modding tools, with other features, like cross-play and a photo mode, still in the works.

Dungeons & Dragons parent company Hasbro, on the other hand, is already looking for another studio to pick up the Baldur's Gate mantle. While it isn't in a rush, it does hope it's not another 25 year wait between entries in the franchise, with one Hasbro exec stating the company will take its time to find "the right partner, the right approach, and the right product" when it comes to the franchise's future.

Darkest Dungeon 2, the sequel to developer Red Hook Studios' acclaimed Lovecraftian roguelike RPG, is launching for PlayStation 5 and PS4 on 15th July.

Darkest Dungeon 2 launched for PC last May, after some time in early access, taking players on a grim Lovecraftian road trip - one of bone-juddering carriage rides through nightmarish locales - that Eurogamer contributor Edwin Evans-Thirlwell called a "copious and often brilliant, if not quite unmissable reworking of a powerfully grim fantasy" in his Recommended review.

The original's tactical turn-based combat is back too, of course, described by Edwin as "clearer and snappier and more oriented toward collaboration between party-members" this time around, and PlayStation owners looking to bolster Darkest Dungeon 2's core roster of 12 playable heroes can pick up its Binding Blade DLC alongside the main game come launch day.

Metroidvanias are everywhere these days, but if you're looking for a rock-solid fusion of that genre with Souls-like gameplay, then you can grab a preorder for the upcoming physical release of The Last Faith. While the game was released last year as a digital-only title for $28--you can get it for $21 at Fanatical--anyone looking to keep a physical collection can get their hands on a standard and special-edition release next month.

Arriving on May 24, the Nycrux edition of The Last Faith includes a softcover art book, a download key for the game's soundtrack, and several cards showing off some gothic concept art. This collector's edition is priced at $50, while the standard version without any of the extras will cost you $30.

    The Last Faith Nycrux Edition

Preorder The Last Faith at Amazon -- $30-$50

Preorder The Last Faith at Best Buy -- $30-$50

Essentially a retro-styled, side-scrolling Bloodborne, The Last Faith has a Metascore of 72 on GameSpot's sister site Metacritic. A challenging adventure with a dark design that pays homage to the games that inspired it, The Last Faith doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it's still a solid mix-tape of action-packed fun. It has a non-linear world to explore, cool weapons to collect, and moody pixel art. If you are a Castlevania fan or enjoyed the Blasphemous series, The Last Faith is worth checking out.

"Step into The Last Faith’s ravaged world as Eryk, awakens with no recollection of his immediate past," the synopsis for game's plot reads. "Soon he will discover he is in a race against time as his mind and conscience begin to deteriorate. His desire for salvation from this affliction sets him on a cursed mission that crosses paths with ancient religions and divinities."

If you're on PC, you can get a 25% discount through Fanatical right now, and The Last Faith is playable on Steam Deck.

With the world of Dungeons & Dragons now officially behind it, Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios has confirmed it currently has two new projects in development, both based on its own IPs, which studio founder Swen Vincke has described as "our best work ever."

Vincke revealed Larian was exploring two new games in a conversation with Eurogamer earlier this year, describing them as "big and ambitious" projects "we want to make". That wording suggested things were still up in the air, but it now sounds like plans have solidified following today's announcement Larian is "currently working on two new projects".

Larian shared the news at the end of a Steam blog post detailing Baldur's Gate 3's upcoming patch, which reiterated the studio "won't be introducing any major new narrative content to the story of Baldur's Gate 3 or its origin characters and companions, nor will we be making expansions or Baldur’s Gate 4."

Jeff Sigouin, the president of 5-Hour Energy owner Living Essentials, said creating a shot specifically for gamers "is a natural extension for us," and indeed, many might agree that it's surprising it hasn't happened until now.

The three flavors are described below, as written by 5-Hour Energy:

    • Pineapple Charge – a tropical pineapple flavor with a hint of spicy ginger.
    • Rocket Raspberry – a sweet, juicy raspberry flavor.
    • Apple Bash – a fruity blend of apple, pear and peach flavors.

The Gamer Shots are available through the 5-Hour Energy website now, with prices starting at $34 for a 12-pack of individual flavors, or the same price for a variety pack that includes 4 of each flavor for a total of 12. There are also 24-packs for about $60.

The Pineapple Charge flavor will come to grocery and convenience stores across the US this summer, but the company did not say if Rocket Raspberry and Apple Bash will be sold in stores.

According to the Mayo Clinic, up to 400 mg of caffeine per day is generally OK for people. But as with anything you put in your body, you should be smart and careful.
