So speaking of the scraps, they've been solved! Big thanks to @WaterKH, @NaBrZHunter, @Lizizadolphin, and @oxin8! 8 hours of Skype call later, we've given up on these bolded problem areas. Grr!!
  2. 5 points
Holy shit you guys! I go to work and come back to all this juicy story info! I don't think I'll ever be able to fully express how crazy awesome you all are at this! I can't solve a cipher for shit, so it's always greatly admired/appreciated. @Kalinine @I4mThoR @LackingAGoodName @Tac @WaterKH @Nieno69 @oxin8 @Lizizadolphin @Rissole25 @NaBrZHunter @Berries @MrRoflWaffles

@I4mThoR Alright, it's solved as of right now, though talking with @oxin8 it seems as if it may be more than what we have. So @oxin8 and I just finished this: Things to get and do: Duct tape Rope Eggs Finish reading that.book Poultry Nails Saw World domination Bleach Compressor Onions Boiling water XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I did this and was reading it backwards and oxin helped me realize we had to make the text go up to the X instead of stopping before it. Once we got that, I was reading it backwards which was why it wasn't working quite right. Anyways, think there's more to this? Or just putting the Kronorium in there just for... whatever? @Tac Scrolled back up and @Nieno69 was super close to it!

Solved that lovely Roman Numerals one. Transcribing was the worst but it's just ascii code so just some manual labor involved. Kronorium Excerpt 349561223: The Summoning Key is one of the oldest artifacts in all creation. It was used by the first one to mix all the dimensions with life, giving each one its unique balance. Under certain circumstances, it has the ability to form bridges between dimensions allowing the transfer of life forces back and forth. It resides in the 63rd dimensions of creation. Alright, finally finished it. Thanks to @oxin8 for pointing out that "Captain" actually was supposed to be a letter. Treyarch made this one difficult either on purpose or they forgot colons and numbers by accident. Anyways, regardless here's the final plaintext @Tac I know at some point in the future I will be in a situation where I put the needs of the man ahead of my own life i will save the world.

It's written in assembly, MASM specifically. One page had the code for the program and the other 2 had the data. So we put the data for one above the code in a file and then compile a program that spits out the answer. Then you swap the data for the other page's data and do it again. The whole process was very straightforward in terms of what needed done but the problem was translating all the scraps to the exact data. Also worth noting that because of how it works, it's not easy to find where the typing mistake is.

@Tac [SOLVED.. partially]So it's very off.. But I got: I know at some point in the future I will be in a situation where I must captain ut(? - Probably "it") the needs of the man ahead of my own life i will save the world. I used the bios to index the line:word:letter. There was some quirks with one where it had ER 5:25. There are not 25 words in that sentence, thus I figured it was ER 5:2:5. However, I'm a little confused at the ending. I'll look at it a bit longer, but I am very pressed for time. Cheers to anyone that figures it out before me! EDIT: I've rechecked and it seems like this is it. Seems odd, but can't seem to figure it out. EDIT2: I went back and it is supposed to be "ahead" instead of "a heal."

Excellent work, guys. Truly. These ciphers being solved is nothing short of spectacular.

At the time, I was trying to convey that the 'extra' letters were actually a key or something for the rest of it. At this point, I'm pretty sure the 'X's are just filler. That said, I wonder if there's still something to be gained from the shopping list. I know it might just be a fun thing they did but they could be hiding something in plain sight. As I've said to you before(WINDOW CIPHER! lol), I really think Treyarch is hiding more things in plain sight than we realize. It just doesn't make sense for them to hide the juiciest info on a sheet of paper they know we'll find. There's gotta be some whole cipher hiding strategies we're missing. That said, I'm not going to pursue the shopping list further in the near future. There's bigger fish to fry.

This? As you said, it didn't hold any cipher text, but was more how to build out the program so it could run the other two scraps. EDIT: Images updated in previous message

We're convinced that's the case haha. To be honest, the whole thing is screwy. IVAN showed up so damn often, I don't even want to talk about it anymore... But we started running into a lot of issues that we couldn't explain. In the beginning, we had all of the back half complete, basically. But then we started fixing things in the top and it messed with the bottom. It got pretty interesting, and we weren't able to get it back to 100%, but that's all correct based on what we documented and cross-referenced over the entire time of decoding. (Hope that made sense).

Here are some cleaner snaps of all the ciphers at Killapete232's cipher location. The scraps have been given to @Tac so, hopefully this will help everyone.

I develop software for a living hence why I was saying I knew what it was. I'm sure I could 'solve' it, I just keep thinking about all the time it would have take the intended way.

Of course! Sorry, working on this cipher Tac posted. It's easy when you spot it (:

Shoutout to /u/xTYGRAx again for finding another cipher. @NaBrZHunter and I spent a few minutes on it and made the following observations: The middle line in each row is a divider perhaps, creating separation? Blocks of 4 on top, blocks of standard Braille 6 on bottom We tried flipping it upside down and it didn't help

Sorry, speaking with someone atm and then I have to go back to studying Haha Trying out @I4mThoR 's cipher now before I have to go! Definitely tomorrow if y'all are still talking by then... That's a long time to talk lol

Hello everyone! With the release of Gorod Krovi, a significant amount of the story has been realized and certain "revelations" (wink wink) have been made. One of the biggest is Dr. Monty, the creator of the perk machines and Gobblegums. He has been lurking in the background for a while now and while many of theorized that he could be the "M" on a letter in SoE or another name for Maxis, no one has really been able to put two and two together. Until now. With the release of GK, we got our first few glimpses at Dr. Monty, in both his style and attitude. With this post, I would like to dedicate it to putting down every single thing we can find on Dr. Monty. This can be anything from quotes, ciphers, radios, ANYTHING that mentions his name. For now, I am going to leave out theories, because, though they are cool and fun and unique, they are not solid evidence compared to the previously said items. So without further ado, let's analyze! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Who is "Dr. Monty"? Dr. Monty appears to be the creator of the perk machines and gobblegums. He has never been seen in person. He has only recently been heard on Gorod Krovi. It is unknown if he ever talked to the characters previously. We do not know his intentions, other than that he is helping the Origins 4 under the guise of Dr. Maxis. We do not know if he is a human, apothicon, or whatever, but a recent quote has pointed that he may be a "being", a power or force, omnipotent. He has a very nonchalant way of speaking, saying whatever comes to his mind, even if it means cussing. He can be direct but also beats around the bush when he speaks. We discover that his whereabouts is at some sort of House, or rather "THE" House. While he has plans to fix the universe, he has mostly had Richtofen do the dirty work, from getting the Kronorium, finding the exact souls needed to close the dimensions. His abilities seem vast: He is able to teleport the characters to different locations, possibly through time and space. He has created drinks that boost abilities and even chewing gum that enhances it further. However, part of his gobble gun creation lies in the fact that he uses Divinium, otherwise known as element 115, to create them. To be able to concentrate such an element into these forms must take an awful amount of knowledge. Furthermore, that he can explain and grasp the idea of multiple worlds and dimensions makes it more likely he has many agendas. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Der Reise - Scrap Paper Image - Dr. Monty's Schematic This schematic is signed by Dr. Monty. Discovered in Der Reise, it depicts a sphere in the middle, with a circle and a KN 44 in side of it and 4 smaller circles around it. There has been debate on what all of this could mean, but none of it has been confirmed. The most interesting part is that whatever this is, it was signed off by Dr. Monty. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Quotes concerning Dr. Monty Credit to JusticeOfKarma on Reddit for compiling a current list. Wisp #1 "Hello...? Testing, testing, te- do you hear me? Testiiiing, testi-- actually, I don't know why I'm doing all this. I'm almost one hundred percent certain that you CAN hear me. So let's not fanny about. OK. Where best to start ... the universe is big. Really big. So try to imagine the biggest thing that you can. And then imagine that you're waaaay off. It's a million, billion, trillion, eeahhh .. zillion? Times bigger than that. Actually, don't worry about the size - it's fucking huge. Let's just leave it at that. More important than it's humongous proportions is the fact that the universe is a living, breathing thing ... ever changing, ever shifting. Existing across and beyond time .. and space, itself. With me so far?" Wisp #2 "Alright! So you've got this universe; this big, change-y already volatile universe... and then you shatter it with a hammer. A metaphorical hammer - and it cracks and splinters into a million other universes. All coexisting, at exactly the same time. (sigh) Do you have ANY idea how difficult that is to keep track of? I may be omnipotent, but I can't be everywhere." Wisp #3 "Now, if it had been ENTIRELY up to me you numbskulls would be the last people I would entrust with this - but, due to factors outside of my control .. (presumably deep sigh, a dragon breathes fire around here so I can’t tell exactly) I know there's a lot going on, I know it's a lot to take IN - but the universe is deeply unstable. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. Crazy as things are, I will try my absolute best to give you all some one-on-one time... some good old fashion TLC! Do this right, and everything will be okay. Pinky promise!" -- (at this point, characters need to go down to hear Dr. Monty) Dempsey #1 "Alright Tank, I'm going to need you to trust me - ok? You've done really, really well so far but I honestly think it's going to be easier if I just talk you through some things. Now let's be honest, you don't really know who you are do you? You've been bouncing along time and space for years, yelling all sorts of obscenities - by the way your language is fucking disgraceful sometimes, you should wash your mouth out with soap! Anyway! We'll talk again soon and I'll explain everything. Just give me a little time to double check on my ... flow charts." #2 "Right! Uhhh, where were we Tank .. actually, more to the point - where ARE you? Are you up to speed, do you know exactly what you're doing - or is the 115 delusion so bad you're still calling in field reports? Even though no one is listening! Sorry, aha - that's unfair. I was listening - I heard every word you said. You're a good soldier. You always were!" #3 "So! Richtofen .. I'm kind of surprised you've gone along with him this far! Didn't you despise him at one point? Anyway .. keep a close eye on him - I think he's up to something." Takeo (unintelligible due to audio overlap) Nikolai "There are certain things that you can't ever change, Nikolai. All I ask, is that you do the right thing. The right thing .. for everyone." (unintelligible due to audio overlap) Richtofen #1 "I have to admit something to you, Edward. Something I've never ever ever had to admit to anyone before. (unintelligible) quite a bad thing … I don't understand you, (unintelligible). I don't understand a single thing about what makes you tick! You are the closest thing to an absolute distillation of obtuse obstructionism of unparalleled maniacal chaos in human form as it is possible to imagine." #2 "Look - I know you've had a lot to deal with. I know how hard you've been trying, but I really can't be sure EXACTLY why you're doing it! I mean, it's not as if you owe Maxis anything .. Is it?" #3 "I don't know - maybe some of the paranoia is starting to rub off on me! But let me tell you this, my little german friend .. I've got my eye on you!" Please leave credit for those who found it if using a source.

This may be a completely stupid topic.. Idk i get nervous before posting something on this site in case i look dumb. Please tell me if this is dumb. Thanks to JusticeOfKarma on Reddit for making a list of the quotes, a google docs can be found here where you see what other people have heard during the game. Okay so I think we’ve all noticed how much Richtofen has changed from the older games, I mean he’s still a little crazy but he’s had definitely changed but I don’t know if he can be trusted. He’s very cryptic and doesn’t tell the others many things about what's happening because he feels it would be too much of a burden for them to know (i think that’s what he says) but maybe he has other things planned or he could actually be telling the truth. Dr. Monty seems to think that he can’t be trusted from what he says to Dempsey about Richtofen in Gorod Krovi He seems so convinced that Richtofen is up to no good but I kind of think it’s all rubbish. I feel like Monty is messing with the other 3 because he knows they already have doubts about this whole thing. I’ve seen so many people say they feel like Monty is a bad guy so why wouldn’t he try to break the group up and foil their plans? I think he's trying to split the group up by telling them things that would make them distrust each other. We see that Monty is saying these things to make Takeo think that Richtofen and Dempsey are planning something against him and Nikolai. Also why would he talk to Dempsey and tell him how he thinks Richtofen can't be trusted then talks to Takeo saying he thinks Dempsey and Richtofen are working together? It doesn't make sense. Monty talks to other 3 in different tone to how he talks to Richtofen, he talks to them as if he is a friend and it always seems like he’s trying to make them feel like he can be trusted. Like I said before Monty knows that the others already dislike and distrust Richtofen so he keeps trying to play on that idea and makes comments about trusting him. I don’t know I can just see some sort of betrayal coming or something..

E.g. from zns E.g. zns with keyed alphabet Now the cipher on gk The other ciphers were longer so here a short selfmade cipher with about same letters So it could be something like e.g. rotor machines or other poly besides the "normal" ones I searched for russian encryption but didnt found anything yet

Weasel mentions Nikolai. Nero mentions Nikolai. Also, I've heard that in moon Nikolai mentions weasel, although i could not find the quote for proof, so I'll disregard this. Most of neros knowledge of the crew seems to be rooted from the shadow man implanting this information during neros coma. Could the shadow man have implanted this knowledge in weasel? It would explain why he knows so much, and his mentioning Nikolai. But then again, it could be the corrupting of time that gave the weasel this information, much like what maxis said happened to him when the timeline became fucked, where he somehow gained knowledge that he never actually had. I like to think that dr Monty has some sort of affiliation with the shadow man, seeing as the design for the gum ball machine fits Shadows most specifically (it has that roaring 20's font much like the rest of the map), and because of the quote "I have seen your misdeeds" shared between monty and the shadow man. Shit, what if they are two sides of a coin, shadow man having been the median for the apothicans, whereas Monty is the medium for the vril? There's a lot of stuff to think about here. What if since they both technically have the same lineage in that sense, originally being vril (the apothicans are descendants of the vril that mutated), either of them having control over zombies means red eyes? So somehow, one of them had control during Mob, while the other has control in GK? Food for thought.

Shopping list = column tranposition? (@WaterKH would have a better description) BO3 bios = one time pad? (same as above) Roman numerals = "ASCII values as Roman Numerals" Tac's 11 Hour Skype Call Cipher = "Assembly code(MASM)" (it would be nice to determine the actual decoding method the program uses but it also doesn't really matter at this point)

The Gorod Krovi Easter Egg is solved and we have advanced further in understanding Blundell’s Zombies Storyline. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the Cutscene and subsequent Monty Dialogue. From this few minutes and a previous minute of monologue during DLC 2, we can piece together the rough nature of the DLC 4 Story. First let’s read the transcript of Doctor Monty’s speech after the EE: Let’s break some of this down. This tells us a lot about the nature of Edward and Monty’s relationship. Monty is seeking out the other three but not Richtofen, why? Is there a vendetta against Edward from Monty? We can already see that their relationship is not a friendly one, as Monty makes a snide remake of Richtofen going off and doing his own thing. Clearly he does not like Richtofen. This confirms what was previously thought, that Richtofen spent years after Origins searching for the Kronorium. What he got up to in these two years I believe we’ll find out in the Comics coming out soon. Monty no longer needs Richtofen now that the Souls have been extracted. As previously mentioned, Monty doesn’t like Edward and he wants to “dispose” of him somehow. But I’ll get back to that later. Again I don’t wanna talk about this just yet but hold onto this as its crucial. All I'll say for now is Monty doesn't want Richtofen to uncover his true fate. Okay, we’ve analysed that. Now, let’s take a trip back to DLC 2 time. Where Treyarch released this Richtofen “memories” segment. I’m going to do the same thing again, transcribe it and analyse the important parts: While we don’t know how long ago exactly he’s talking about, we might be able to assume he’s talking right around the time where Richtofen set off on his travelling. This statement shows that Edward is indebted to Monty somehow, he owes his life to him. And throughout this it does seem like Richtofen is aware he’s addressing a higher being, one more powerful than he is. The gravitas of this cannot be ignored. Richtofen knows he and everything around him is expendable. Whatever Edward is doing for Monty he values more than his life if the end goal is peace. This can be justified with the opening dialogue “And I've been trying so hard to do the right thing”. While he may not trust Monty, he agrees that what he’s trying to achieve must be accomplished, just maybe not the part where he has to die.. This is what I was coming back to. Richtofen knows that he is expendable, but Monty does not know that Richtofen knows this. Richtofen has a plan to outmanoeuvre Monty when Monty eventually tries to off Richtofen from the plan. And he’s not just doing this for himself, but his allies when after the ZNS cutscene we all receive blood vials. Maybe once Monty realises Edward’s counter-plan, he will try to take out Tank, Nikolai and Takeo too, believing that they are without blood? Ultimately, this is a case of two beings thinking they are one step ahead of the other. Monty is clearly the more superior, higher being who underestimates Edward and Richtofen knows he’s in treacherous path. In my personal opinion Richtofen’s memories segment is an excerpt he’s personally written in the Kronorium (which is confirmed a book) as a sort of memoir/suicide note in case his plan goes wrong. When Monty says “he’s been in the house for ages”, I think this is metaphorical. Monty means that Richtofen had signed his death warrant as soon as he sworn his oath to protect Monty, he’s in the ethereal house and just doesn’t know it yet. The blood will keep the Origins 4 as pure, whole beings on Earth when Monty tries to kill them. What is clear though is that Monty wants to turn the other three against Richtofen. Maybe Monty suspects Richtofen’s double-cross? So many questions to answer. At first glance Richtofen is the protagonist and Monty is the antagonist, but is that truly the case? I will edit/remove parts that are unanswerd or don't make sense.
